Name:
Vil'kyan
Appeared Gender:
Male
Appeared Age:
20s-30s
Gemstone:
Hematite
Gemstone Location: Lower Left Arm
Corrupted:(Y/N) No
Appearance:
Personality: Vil'kyan is a happy going kind of gem. Although he can loose his temper if someone angered him on something he has a very close personal connection to, such as his combat style (He would usually consider an insult to his combat style, a form of challenge and would treat it as such normally, though sometimes he would just glare). He can be calm minded as he would usually try to use diplomacy most of the time, unless it's a corrupted gem, or something that really angers him. He would usually show himself to be honourable but that usually is difficult. He isn't perfect as he would also get very emotional if something truly hits him in the feels section (Like being told repeatedly he is worthless or something similar to that, or someone he cares about gets really hurt). Also, he can be stubborn at times.
Likes/Dislikes: Likes: Food (Everything that is edible is good to him in some way), Video Games (Recently discovered the PC and it's glorious nature), Ancient Japan, Weapons (Usually swords, axes, or guns, especially guns), Sleeping, Friends, Battles (Sometimes), The Way of the Samurai and Peace (Majority of the Time); Dislikes: Dishonor, Disrespect, Corrupted Gems (Always attempts to poof them, majority of the time anyways), and Extremely rude folk.
Fears:
Fears Death (Who doesn't), Fears becoming Dishonored, Fears to be Weak when Strength is needed, Fears certain heights.
Weapon: A Japanese Style Nodachi, Well it was inspired by it.
Ability 1: Resistance to Pain:
Vil'kyan's stubbornness tends to be an ability on it's own, allowing him to ignore pain, despite being almost ripped in half or something similar. He would use this to his advantage sometimes as some wouldn't expect him to not fall when normally some would, thus making him a bit more durable. Although he will eventually poof after being beaten repeatedly, especially if he is being attacked by multiple directions and folks. That would really hurt him.
Ability 2:
Enhanced Speeds:
Vil'kyan's ability to increase his own speed comes from the fact he trained with the Nodachi for a long period of time, allowing him to move faster than one can move. The speed isn't perfect and doesn't make him go at the speed of sound or anything, however it still allows him to move a large blade like it was a katana instead. Of course the momentum tends to tire out Vil'kyan over time not allowing him to use it to often, making sure he requires a rest after each use, depending on how long he does it, and how much fighting is involved.
Fusions: Never fused. Ever.
History: Vil'kyan was created on Earth, coming out at Kintergarden about 5,000 years ago. He came out fine, especially since he came out full size. But his personality was a bit off. He was extremely curious and he began to wander around the Kintergarden. (Unsure if it was abandoned at 5,000 years ago, or it was still functioning. Would love to be clarified.) As he wandered he eventually came out of the facility and saw the greener pastures of the surrounding area. It intrigued him. From there he began to wander the Earth for about 2,000-3,000 years, eventually crossing the ocean, and walking into Shogun Era Japan. He observed the Japanese style of combat and while attempting to do the styles himself, although he did not have a weapon. He resorted to stealing one from one of the training grounds thus obtaining his first weapon. From there on, he practice constantly hoping to perfect the blade. Eventually he was caught by the local Samurai that were patrolling, seeing that he was attempting to practice their fighting style, albeit being very very flawed and imperfect, so much in fact most of the Samurai laughed at him, although one did see potential. The samurai offered him to be trained in their ways, and thus Vil'kyan began training for about 50 or so odd years, attempting to master the way of the Samurai. After finally mastering the skill he was given his first Shanto, and Nodachi, as he trained with the samurai to use one. From there he wandered off exploring once more, until present day, not really knowing anything about what he is or what he was meant for. Due to his lack of knowledge his own kind he didn't know that he was a gem. Although he did run into a few Corrupted Gems, albeit they were tough as hell, but he was able to eventually fight off the beasts. Of course, he fought the Corrupted Gems at separate times and separate places.
Character Arcs: Character Arcs I want to go with him is learning about Gems and what the differences between Homeworld and the Crystal Gems, as well as learning more about a Culture he never known. Another Arc would be seeing how he reacts to loosing his honor, which would be interesting to see happen to him.
