"I stumbled.... into faith and thought... this is all there is...." Varis had figured a visit to some place where gems called their own would make him feel better. So much has been happening lately... gems vanishing and new ones almost just popping from the gro-... oh wait they do kinda come from the ground so... "The pictures in m-my mind arose...." He takes a deep breath, "And began... to breathe." his voice rang out rather softly threw the halls and corridors that riddled the Spire. Close to the top of the Sea Spire, in a rather small room that looked like it was where Variscite had been staying at. The room was filled with empty candy wrappers and other random human junk, a bass guitar and even what looked like a small stack of comics near what looked like a makeshift bed.
"And all the Gems in all the worlds... Began co-colliding on a backdrop of blue..." There Varis was sitting on a round piece of rock, no hoody just in his purple tank top and shorts, no shoes or socks. He held his hands behind his head with his eyes held shut, his gem glowing ever so slightly as odd neon green lights flowed out from the back of his neck where his gem rested. The lights crept out from the room and into the hallways, "I took a step but then felt tired...... I said, I'll rest.. a little while...." He enjoyed spending time here, even if he was cracked her not too long ago. "But when I tried to walk again......" His voice grew lower and lower.... almost like he was started to pass out.... never a bad time for a nap, right?

The Spire was somewhere that Glass stayed a little too much. She hasn't been on Earth for much time, but she's spent most of her time either here or at the human town of Beach City. As she walked throughout the cracked building, she looked around and thought of the few memories she had here. She walked into the "lobby" of the Spire, and in the silence heard a voice. It was faint and near impossible to hear, but it was there. She slowed her pace and listened for the source of the voice, which appeared to be near the top of the Spire.
Closing the distance between herself and the voice, it became more clear, and she realized that the person was singing. She got even more curious, and slowly approached the room that it came from to see the green Gem from the town, the one who saved her. "Variscite?" She stood in the doorway, smiling lightly at the green Gem. "It's nice to see you again." She said, waiting to see if he was alright with her entering.
Taking in another breath before singing a bit more, at this point, he had enjoyed taking the time to sing. He wasn't sure why but it helped to bring him peace in times when he was confused, or even in times of joy to show how happy he was. Before he was able to get out another word, "Variscite?" his eyes shot open, showing his bright neon vision spheres. Quickly trying to jump to his feet, he instead slipped off from the rock falling flat onto the ground and a few bits of random junk and trash. "It's nice to see you again."
Still trying to get his footing, while sweeping away the garbage and other wrappers across the ground. "Uh! G-Glass! Uh.... been awhile..." He said throwing on a quick smile as he looked at her, now standing while rubbing the back of his head for a few moments before realizing she was waiting for him to invite her in, "C-come in! Its uh.... little dirty here..." He mumbled towards the end looking around the room, "Welcome? Its... not m-much..." He said turning to look around the room, hoping she wasn't put off by his messy area. "So.... where y-ya been? Haven't seen you since we we-were palling around with Danny." He said looking around for a spot to sit, part of him missed the Temple at about now... being able to conjure up a couch was nice, not the idea of a building reading his mind though.
He kinda plops back down onto the mat he had found and was using for a bed, clearing off part of it, "Have a seat?" He asks looking at the spot next to him, "What if she don't wanna sit next to me.... or even sit at all?" Varis thought to himself looking around the room, there were other things she could sit on if she even wished to sit down.

Glass watched in awe as Varis fumbled around, his strange behavior was something that both confused and intrigued her. Nobody from Homeworld was so... different. "C-come in! Its uh.... little dirty here..." Glass smiled and entered the room, seeming not to mind the mess. To her, it was a change of pace from the broken, empty halls of the rest of the Spire. "Welcome? It's... not m-much..." "Thanks." She said, not as quietly as she normally spoke.
"So.... where y-ya been? Haven't seen you since we we-were palling around with Danny." Glass mulled over her response for a moment before speaking. "I've been here." Glass responded, her voice back to it's normal volume. "Just wandering the halls for however long it's been." She watched as Varis cleared a spot on the mat, and looked to Varis. "Have a seat?" Glass nodded in appreciation, and sat next to the green Gem.
After getting a bit more comfortable, she begun to speak. "I liked your singing." She said awkwardly, as she was not used to making small talk.
"I've been here." Really? Was she just wondering around the Spire? Oh man.... he had hoped she didn't hear all his singing. It wasn't always the best when he sang, he has a bad habit of doing embarrassing things when he didn't know people were around. "Just wandering the halls for however long it's been." He leaned back as she sat down next to him, he looked at her for a moment, she was still just as pretty as he had remembered. "I g-get that... its nice here. Not alot of other g-gems and... the sound of the water is..." He drifted off for a moment in thought. That was something he would forget about until hearing it again, the water rushing around the Spire was such a pleasant white noise for him at night.
Then she said it, "I liked your singing." his face ran bright green as his covered his face quickly with both hands and dropping to his back, "Pffft! You h-he-heard me?!" came out in a muffle threw his hands that were clenched over his face. He had no idea what to do now.... he wanted to just sink threw the floor into nothingness. "S-sorry you heard that..." He mumbled again still hiding away behind his hands.

"I g-get that... its nice here. Not alot of other g-gems and... the sound of the water is..." Glass smiled. "Yeah..." Then it happened. This was the reason she was so intrigued by Variscite. He didn't ever act how she expected him to, and Glass thought it was so interesting. Instead of accepting the compliment, he seemed to refuse the idea that she could possibly like his singing. "Pffft! You h-he-heard me?!" Glass watched as Varis seemed to lie down in shame. "S-sorry you heard that..."
Glass laughed at the green Gem's reaction, sitting up a little bit. "Why are you apologizing?" She asked, still laughing. "I really do like it. Even if I hadn't liked it, I've been locked in a necklace for so long, do you really think I have high standards for what good music sounds like?" Glass leaned back on the mat, allowing herself to get comfortable again. "I really did like it." She said, turning to face the green Gem. "It was great." The whole time, Glass was blissfully unaware of how social she was being.
Still on his back, he slowly pulls his hands away from his face, looking towards Glass. So was so nice about everything, he had a hard time thinking anyone would enjoy his singing. "I really do like it. Even if I hadn't liked it, I've been locked in a necklace for so long, do you really think I have high standards for what good music sounds like?" this made Varis chuckle a little. It made a lot of sense that she might not have an ear for music but he figured she would still have an idea for what good music was.
"I really did like it." she spoke again, it was nice to see Glass being so... social and it was rather fun honestly! "Heh... th-thanks... im sure if you uh... hang around here long enough... you'll hear more." He said looking at her laying next to him, it had been awhile since he just sat back with another gem like this. No fighting, no having to run off on some adventure just.... chill. He smiled as he looked at her red-ish eyes for a moment, "So.... have you been to Homeworld?" He had no idea what to talk about.... he didn't want to talk about himself so he figured maybe talking about her might be nice.... or it will upset her or some other bad option that he thought about AFTER he had already asked her. "I-if you wanna talk about it I mean.... just... I don't really k-know anything about our own uh... planet."

Laying there with Varis, Glass felt oddly safe and relaxed. Though she rarely had a social call in her past, this felt natural. There was something about this that she found enjoyable, though she couldn't place her finger on it. "Heh... th-thanks... im sure if you uh... hang around here long enough... you'll hear more." She smiled and looked up at the ceiling of the room. "I guess I'm staying a bit longer then."
"So.... have you been to Homeworld?" The smile Glass had faded a bit. "I-if you wanna talk about it I mean.... just... I don't really k-know anything about our own uh... planet." Her smile returned to its former state. "Well, it's beautiful... I don't know quite how to describe it, it's nothing like what you have here on Earth." She looked at the ceiling once more, as if using it as a backdrop for her thoughts.
"It has spires higher than the tallest mountains and temples more beautiful than the most fragile flowers here on Earth." Glass paused a moment before turning to Varis again. "I guess I need to know what exactly you want to know about. My memories might be a little outdated."
Realizing he was staring at her, he quickly looks up towards the ceiling. "I guess I'm staying a bit longer then." this made that light green flush his cheeks a bit again and a grin cross his face as well. Though it faded as quickly as it had appeared when her smile lessened, "Good job.... maybe she didn-" then she spoke again. "Well, it's beautiful... I don't know quite how to describe it, it's nothing like what you have here on Earth." The ceiling had a few cracks along it, he had spent more then a few nights just on his back watching the chunk of stone above him.
"I guess I need to know what exactly you want to know about. My memories might be a little outdated." She had made Homeworld sound so nice.... he always pictured it as a ruined place but.... now he wished he had got to see it. He couldn't help but think of one question, "What.... would a g-gem like me do? A uh.... Variscite.... did you know any o-other Variscites?" He asked not looking at her, he was glancing down towards his hands.... he remember the armor he was formed in. He figured a battle type roll might have been his place which made him feel a bit uneasy, the idea that a bunch of other gems just like him were walking around.... so weird.

As Varis spoke again, Glass turned her head to him. "What.... would a g-gem like me do? A uh.... Variscite.... did you know any o-other Variscites?" The smile she had worn for most of the conversation faded when she saw him look at his hands. It was possible there was an answer he didn't want to here. "I've never seen another Variscite before you." she said, a slight look of concern on her face.
That look quickly faded and a warm smile took it's place back. Along with that, her voice was unusually sentimental. "I think that's a good thing. You're different from any Gem I've ever met before in that you seem like you're just... existing. It's so different from everything I'm used to, and it's strangely refreshing. I wouldn't normally talk about my thoughts but... I admire you, Variscite. These insignificant things not mean much to you, but it means a lot to me." Of course, these thoughts weren't much, but Glass felt they told what she needed them to.
(OOC: Sorry I couldn't think of much else to do xD)
Almost a wave of relief washed over him when she spoke of never seeing another Variscite before, part of him was.... kinda hoping he had a place in Homeworld but more of him was happy he didn't. His hands dropped to his side as he returned to look up at the ceiling with a slight grin across his face. Then Glass began to speak again..... some very kind words.
"I think that's a good thing. You're different from any Gem I've ever met before in that you seem like you're just... existing. It's so different from everything I'm used to, and it's strangely refreshing. I wouldn't normally talk about my thoughts but... I admire you, Variscite. These insignificant things not mean much to you, but it means a lot to me."
Just existing? That was.... partly true. He had no real idea what he was made for so he had just been.... existing, he never regretted anything he had done is all his years. Feeling so cozy at the moment, his gem began to glow once more, letting out these aura waves of neon green color. While the effect was easily turn away, being so close to Varis, the energy flowing almost around Glass, pushing at her mind trying to relax any issues or worries she may have. "Yo-you admire me? Heh... im ju-just trying to ya know.... not get smashed or s-something.. your much more admirable then me.... prettier too...." His face flashed neon green for a moment once more, Varis was off in his own little world when another question popped into his mind, "Oh!"
He quickly turns his head and moves onto his side, using an arm to prop his head up a bit, "So.... is there any like.... fo-food on Homeworld? Like dishes that only gems ea-" He interrupted himself, "Wait! Do we eat like.... rocks or other gems or something?!" While feeling like it was a stupid question, it was something he never asked another gem from Homeworld.... what kind of food if any at all did they eat? He had gotten so exited that as quickly as his gem was letting out this calming aura, it had stopped.

As Varis spoke, Glass felt something slowly push its way over her, leaving her with calmness of mind and a small bit of physical relaxation. Her posture lightened slightly, allowing her to get even more comfortable. "Yo-you admire me? Heh... im ju-just trying to ya know.... not get smashed or s-something.. your much more admirable then me.... prettier too...." Glass felt a small sensation rise in her face, and a dark pink pushed its way across her cheeks. It was now that she noticed the light green that hue on Varis's cheeks that was different from the rest of his skin: She made him blush.
This was certainly uplifting for her. Glass rarely acted like this, and realizing that one of the most interesting people she'd ever met seemed to be enjoying themselves equally to her allowed her to relax even more. She closed her eyes, and her hand mindlessly moved from her side, almost landing itself on Varis's before the sudden weight shift from him snapped her back to her senses.
"So.... is there any like.... fo-food on Homeworld? Like dishes that only gems ea- Wait! Do we eat like.... rocks or other gems or something?!" Glass turned to face Varis with a look of confusion and enjoyment, quickly forgetting what she had just tried to do. "You're joking, right?" She laughed quietly, almost as if a little kid trying to hide a giggle. She shifted her body to her side as well, positioning herself so that she faced Varis. It was rather cute to her how he acted. "Well, no. We never had a need to eat. Our gems provide all we need."
Variscite was enjoying his time with Glass.... it had been awhile since he enjoyed himself like this. He had been taking peeks at Glass.... he was looking at her when she wasn't looking at him, she seemed like she was about to do something before he had suddenly spoke out about if gems ate on Homeworld. "You're joking, right?" Then she started to laugh! "What? Sooo.... n-no snacks?" He asked while she giggled... he had this thing in his head.... he enjoyed how she laughed and the fact she was laughing at him!
"Well, no. We never had a need to eat. Our gems provide all we need." Variscite knew gems didn't NEED to eat but he figured gems would still do so for SOME reason, "Not even drinks? Thats.... kinda sad really.... I d-dont think I wanna visit Homeworld if I uh.... can't snack on s-something.." he mumbled as he got an idea in his head, "Sooooo.... humans kinda h-have this thing they do..." his cheeks began to heat up and turn a neon green shade.
He glanced down towards her hand before grabbing it with his own hand, trying to inter-lock their fingers. "Its like... uh.... hmmm...." He fumbles over his words trying to express himself, "..A sign of.... how much... hmm.... h-how do I say this...." his face was fully flushed now, and clearly having a hard time getting his feelings out, he takes his hand away from hers quickly cupping his hands together, "Heh.... nevermind... so-sorry..." He mumbled looking back to the ceiling again, "Wow........ im awful at this stuff...." ran threw his mind.....

"Not even drinks? Thats.... kinda sad really.... I d-dont think I wanna visit Homeworld if I uh.... can't snack on s-something.." Glass tilted her head Varis, about to ask why he was so in love with snacks, until he started to speak again. "Sooooo.... humans kinda h-have this thing they do..." Glass looked to him with an inquisitive expression, and looked down to her hand as Varis held it in his own, and a light red swept across her cheeks.
A small smile crept across Glass's face as their fingers entwined, and the blush that she had slightly got both larger and darker. "Its like... uh.... hmmm.... ..A sign of.... how much... hmm.... h-how do I say this...." Glass was smiling a bit wider now, excited about what Varis was about to say until he pulled his hand back. "Heh.... nevermind... so-sorry..." A small look of dejection quickly took place of the smile, and she looked down for a moment before making a somewhat bold choice.
"I... think I understand." She said, holding a slightly nervous hand out to Varis. "Can we try it?"
His head quickly perked up as Glass seemed to be a bit upset? All he saw was that she started to look down towards the ground, "Crap! I screwed up! No, no, no, no, no!" then she spoke while Varis was having a mini panic attack in his own mind. "I... think I understand." "Wha........." his face was blank, save for the green blush that formed across his cheeks once more as he hand was placed out for him to take.
"Can we try it?" he looks down with an almost blank/confused look across his face as he takes her hand with one of his own before speaking softly, "T.... Thanks... Id very much like to do so..." He finally looked up at her, his neon eyes locked onto hers. He almost looked.... sad? He was indeed smiling but his eyes showed there was a small bit of sadness almost. In his mind he couldn't help but flash back to... her.. though he knows she is gone forever. He had just one last memory as a single tear welled up in his left eye. "But... when I tried to walk again... I found I wasn't... alone...." It seems he had picked up from where he had left off just... with some new lyrics. "Heh... s-sorry just.... wanted to uh.... finish that.." Still a green blush across his cheeks.
Finally he smiled brightly, and the sadness behind his eyes kinda just.... started to fade away.

Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’.
