"A chance you say?"

The Smoky Quartz snorted

"And for what exactly? And for whom?"

His silver eyes watched the Bloodstone Jasper

"To the Gems, to be their own Gems? To choose? To rebel? To fight for something they belive? So let me get this straight... just, you know, if I understand it correctly! So Rose Quartz rebellion encouraged other Gems, to act, to do what they feel is right. Question the very foundation of out glorious Empire and Race: the absolute rule and infallibility, perfection of the Diamonds. To take arms, and fight against their own kind, crack and shatter their once-friends... for the Humans and a doomed planet? A chance to kill eachother, for basically, nothing?"

Morion smirked under his mask

"Or to the Humans? To defend their home planet? Aww, how cute... they can't even past beyond their own Moon, and hey, let them fight against an intergalactic Empire, led by perfect beings with superior technology. Humanity's technology compared to Gem-tech is as advanced as the well... trees tecnology, compared to the humans. Okay, give them a chance to defend the planet and irritate the hell out of the Matriarchs by destroying the Warp Pads, to ensure the Diamonds WILL react! What an evil Gem this Rose Quartz is... and I tought she loved humanity! But I can see it with your point of view, she had done everything she could to doom the Race she loves soooo much!"

The Assassin's vice was dripping with irony

"Funny tho... she started a War for and in the name of Humanity... but you know what is funny? Humanity don't even know they are facing an enemy, thanks to Rose, far worse than they can imagine, and humans have done pretty much everthing horrible one could do to another, so their immagination is pretty good!"

He shook his head

"So.. Rose Quartz gave humanity a chance to fight back, and bought them time by destroying the warp pads, stranding Diamonds know how many angry Gem on their planet... but she forgot to tell the Humans "uhm guys, better to prepare... you know, to face the wrath of my people, a race that wiped out several others before came to your Galaxy...."

Morion shruged

"Am I correct? Am I right, or am I wrong? Or please wise Bloodstone, please tell me what is the thing I apparently can't see?"

[Bloodstone]

Octavian took a minute before shrugging "I'll be quite honest, I don't know" He was still hanging upside down to some degree "But my guess is either A: Peace or B: There was...something else like love. But she wasn't going to go kill the humans the second she arrived at least". He rolled his eyes and seemed to mock Morion, at least inside his mind "Blah, blah, blah, I'm well aware of the fact that the gems are superior in technology, no need to go into the monologue there" He sighed and dropped down, noticeably...different. "Did I mention I enjoy switching forms by the way?" Octavian...no, Octavia, smirked a little as the Bloodstone gem had essentially gender bent themselves, closer to Morions height and a bit more slender in terms of body shape "Now, besides the obvious, why should I care about helping homeworld? They did kinda trap me for a bit" She held up a kabuki-style skull mask with two holes for gems "Two holes, one for each form I have. Now, I admittedly don't remember WHO trapped me, but it sure didn't happen here on Earth" She set the mask back on her belt (I'll make a post about the mask when it's easier for me ^^' Flying home tomorrow night btw )

[Morion]

"Peace. By ensuring War..."

The silver eyes narrowed

"I don't really think so'

The Smoky Quartz growled

'Love you say? LOVE??? And she loved exactly what? Conflict? War? Hopeless cases?"

Morion hissed

"Who needs enemy, when Rose Quartz loves you?"

He frowned

"We are shapeshifters Bloodstone... cheap parlor tricks are not really amuses me"

Morion stood up

"We are conqerors, warriors, shapeshifters... our form is not fixed. We could be anything and anyone, from cute little kittycats to giant mechanical beasts! We are adaptable, needing no sleep, nor food, nor air... nothing! You could shapeshift into the form of.. .anything, even a colossal space-squid and spent a couple of eons to 'swim' home... We are soldiers, we are weapons! We... ARE ... GEMS!!!"

He roared, and grew, shapeshifted



Massive scaled body climbed on the top of the ancient temple, tallons and blades, fangs and claws; spread his gigantic leathery wings, spread his clawed hands and roared to the star filled night sky
Then lowered his head to the genderbended Gem

You are not trapped... you are shackled by your own fears, uncertainty and loneliness, to the point, even the Rebellion is sounds good, just to fill the void! You don't need to care about our home, our race, our duty, or our Diamonds, but I warn you Bloodstone... they cares about you! And never.... ever forgets or forgive!

The next moment, there was only smoke in the darkness, then it dissipated, and the Gem retreated to the shadows...
...hiding, watching the other Gem in silence, giving her/him time to think
With a bit curiosity, what Bloodstone will do^^

[Bloodstone]

Bloodstone sighed, taking in everything they had just heard. Was Morion right? Was the gem just an insecure, afraid, little weakling? She shifted back to her male form before looking off into the distance, aware that the Smoky Quartz was still there, waiting. "Maybe you're right..I never did fit in with the other soldiers back on Homeworld anyway, I always had to sneak away...was more interested in the stars." He shrugged, admittedly not sure why he mentioned that part "Yet at the same time you don't get it, because you e never felt what I have." Octi looked over at the general area where Morion stood "I'm well aware of what you are, an assassin, a killer, someone who's barely feared anything." He stood and brushed himself off "All you've known your whole life is being a weapon. But what if you run out of stuff to kill, hm? What happens then?" Octavian walks closer "What happens when the conquerors conquer everything? That's what I'm trying to avoid. We may be immortal, or near that at least, but we cannot take control of every little rock we find in space." He walked back and looked over the area at night, taking in the scene "I've had time to think in isolation. I can walk my own path." He sat down and started humming, playing Boulevard of Broken Dreams on his guitar

[Morion]

"He is an easy prey. Kill him! Rebelious clod... be a good little monster!"

The Voice whispered to the Smoky Quartz's ear, giggled in his head

"Weapon. Killer. Monster... conqueror and immortal
"Shut up. I am not going to kill Bloodstone! He is... confused. Lost. But in his heart, he is a loyal soldier of the Gem Empire!
"Maybe... maybe not. But it is true, there is no need to rush. Enjoy the hunt...!
"Silence! I'm trying to listen to him...

Morion stood in silence in the darkness, but finally nodded, his voicce was barely audible

"I love the stars too..."

He answered

"The silent nights... alone in the darkness, in the wilderness"

Slowly, the Smoky Quartz walked closer, in his human form to the playing Gem

"I am a weapon, thats true. But have my hobbies. I like cooing. The music. After all, I am an Eye, watcfull eye of my Diamond. Lonely missions, one role, one personality after another... Assassin, Infiltrator... Watcher. I have been many things, played many roles... inflitrated societies, other Gem courts... watched, reported. Acted when needed. But still had my free time! I've learned several things. But music and cooking... those things helped me to relax. Be myself. Even tasted... love"
"And gutted him, before tasting his sweet, blood covered lips...

The Voice gigled in his head
Morion ignored it
He watched the distance

"As long as there is more than one person in the universe, there will be always someone to kill... not that I love to kill a Gem. When my Diamond ordered it, I've carried out the verdict. They are perfect beings, the Diamonds. We are not. If they decide something then I'm sure... they have their reasons. We are Gods, compared to the Humans. And the Diamonds are our Gods. They've rulled our Empire with firm hands and with wisdom since the dawn of our history. Our race is prosperous, thanks to them. Why... why can't you accept this? I'm sure, you are not a Rebel. Just... a hurt Gem. But you don't need to suffer... your own path could easily lead you home"
"Or in your jaws sweetheart....
"Shut it!

[Bloodstone]

"I'm not sure what my own path is at this point.." Octavian sighed when he finished playing "But whether it's with the rebels or Homeworld is up to my choice, I guess" The gem shrugged, holding his head in his hands as he cried out in frustration "I just don't know! I can't decide.." A tear ran down Octis cheek, the gem was clearly confused. He looked over at Morion "I could care less about who or what I follow...I just don't want to stay isolated." He decided to keep quiet about the gems he had run into a few days ago, for the sake of keeping them safe "Maybe I just need a command....I'm so stupid. Look at me, I'm basically a soldier who just needs a command." He clenches his fists "It doesn't matter who's fault it is...not to me"

[Morion]

The Voice's voice was full of disdain

"Awww, the pooooor little misrable warrior! You know Rose Qartz did Homewrold a favor! Trapped on this cursed Planet is a pretty good way to root out the weak and useless Gems. When the Diamonds arrive, they will have their Gems, and will use them as powersources, the weaklings will make the strong ones more powerfull! If anything, Rose Quartz is the best agent of the Empire..."
"NOT another word! Bloodstone is not weak... just... just confused!
"And you are an innocent victim too, I guess... Your grip on reality is sliping dear..."
"Shut up! I'm fine!

Morion sat down next to the other Gem, close enough to him

"Yes Bloodstone.... Octavian. It is your choice

The Smoky Quartz nodded gently

"Oooh, you are now just evil! Lying to him, just like that....I like it! Carry on!"
"It is just a... white lie. And in a sense it is true! It is his choice!
"Sure... whatever let you sleep at night dear.... whatever let you sleep"

The Voice giggled in his head

"Don't cry... strong Gems don't cry!

Morion voice was soft, almost kind

"You don't have to be alone... and you are not stupid! Just this Planet... this cursed planet... don't blame yourself. Please...

After a little hesitation, Morion putted one of his hands on Bloodstone's shoulder

"I'm ordering you...!

He winked a little

[Bloodstone]

Octavian blushed a little and smiled, wiping the tears away as he looked over at Morion "Y-yes sir" He nodded, gaining a bit more respect for him. He could tell though that Morion was hiding something..what it was he wasn't sure. Either way, he seemed to at least have a new friend of sorts. "I know I'm a strong gem.." He nodded, repeating that a few times to himself before looking back at Morion "S-so um..what do we do now?" The gem smiled as he stood, helping the Quartz to his feet "Because I'm fine staying here for the night if you want...I really have no plans" Octi blushed even more, not sure why he was feeling this way all of a sudden

[Morion]

"Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa"

The Voice in his head needed to take breath before continue

"Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahaaaa"

Morion ingored it^^

"Better...

He nodded

"Well...

The Smoky Quartz looked up to the stars
Searching
One hand around the shoudler of Bloodstone other pointing to one of the stars^^

"There... that is it! Do you recognise it Bloodstone?

His voice, almost just a whisper was gentle

"Our home.... that is the Homeworld Galaxy... a little bright blue-white fleck on the infinite tapestry of the Space. I've tried to calculate, how the Humans call that Galaxy? The city is in the USA, the northern hemisphere, so I had to exclude all southern hemishpere galaxies and the list is reduced to:
Andromeda Galaxy,Triangulum Galaxy and Bode's Galaxy
After some calculation, and considering it is close to the Polaris; and that is the North Star, the main suspect of being Homeworld’s Galaxy is what the humans call Bode’s Galaxy.
Or Messier 81"

He sighed

"That spiral galaxy about 12 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major... 12 million light years from Earth. Well... IF I am right"

[Bloodstone]

Octavian nodded, remembering the notes he had written on that particular Galaxy ."Yes...yes, I see it." He smiled and sighed "12 million light years...light years have always been gigantic in my metaphorical book.." It seemed like that no matter which side Bloodstone joined, it was obvious he was a little bit homesick "I...I'm aware that I'll get sucked into the combat here at some point, but I just want to say..I'm fighting for whatever I think is right, and hopefully you can respect that, one gem to another." He looked up at Morion, hoping that the two of them could at least be friends if nothing else. "But I promise not to be a little weakling. I'd make them proud..." He smiled as he looked up into the sky "It's amazing how things can look so small when you're far in space..I feel like that's always interested me, I dunno why"

[Morion]

"Even if we manage to stole a human space ship, with this primitve thecnology... it would take around... eh... I can't even calculate how long it would take us to get home in a Human craft."

The Smoky Quartz shruged wit a sigh

"Long enough... better bring some food! A tasty Jasper maybe?"
"I am NOT a cannibal!"
"Just a chewtoy then! If you just nibble on him and don't swallow, it don't count!"
"Shut the hell up!"

Morion tried to ignore te Voice

"But around 120 million years, give or take, if the vessel could go with the fraction of the speed of light
The bright side is: the Homeworld Aramda would arrive eventually, so we don't need to wait that long.
Of course, Yellow Diamond will obliterate everything, as the Diamond'ss wrath descend upon the Earth in a fiery way but..."

He tried to encourage the other Gem

"It is not a hopless lonely exile!

Then the Assassin nodded

"Fighting for the Homeworld is the right thing, and you know it, don't you Bloodstone? Just... it is hard to accept it. You are angry. I can't balme you. Yellow Diamond... is... well Yellow Diamond. But let go your anger, don't let it blinds you to the truth! Thanks to Rose Quartz and her rebelious clods, her actions we are forced to fight! Gems against Gems... it will be horrible, war on a massive scale! But the outcome is inevitable! It is nice to fight for someting you feel or think is right. But the Rebellion is not such a thing. It is hopeless and doomed to fail... siding with the rebeles is suicide!

Morion looked up too with a nodd

"Yes... small and insignificant. The univers teaches you humility if nothing else"

[Bloodstone]

"I...Ill fight for whoever I think is right. I don't know who, yet. But I'll decide on my own terms" Octi looked over at Morion "Somehow I doubt I'll decide tonight, but you'll know what my decision is when the time comes" The Bloodstone winked and sighed. He was lucky to have gone this whole time without being corrupted at least, yet this had been the most...he wasn't sure how to put it, unstable? Questioning? Since the message came through that the warp pads were down "Don't take that the wrong way my friend." The Bloodstone had gone this whole time without fighting..perhaps it was time he got back into shape "I know some training wouldn't hurt either way." He laughed, his moral compass being turned this way and that, he tried not to show it as his mind fought to decide what was right and wrong

[Morion]

"Naturally... it is your decision

Morion nodded with a gentle, whisper-like voice
His left arm was still around the Bloodstone Jasper ^^

"White lie you say? There is nothing white in this... you are a monster and a liar! You just try to enmesh this poooor unfortunate sooooul... in pain... in neeed....

Giggled the Voice, with a bith singing tune in her voice

"Not that I mind... I like it! I like it! Contunue please!

Morion tried to ignore the sound in his head

"You were saying...? Ah yes, your own terms. What would they be? I am just curious..."

The Smoky Quartz nodded

"You don't have to decide tonight, of course not! And aah, yes... training"

The Voice sudenly stopped giggling, her voice in his head was cold and sharp

"Its a trick! Oldest in the book... to become familiar with your powers, your fightning style! Learn your weaknesses...

Morion looked away after a bit hesitation from Octavian

"Yes... we always have to be in good shape! But not tonight! It is a beautful, stary night, silent and calm... lets not ruin it with a duel"

[Bloodstone]

"My terms are that I'm alive and everything's good in my opinion, no matter who or what happens" He smiled and looked over at Morion "Can you blame me for having terms like that?" Octi figured the diamonds were on his Quartz...ally? It was hard to tell if they were true allies or friends, but they'd have top priority probably. The bloodstone ran his hand over the skull mask, the regular one, on his belt. He remembered being told that he could work properly without following orders...be a soldier for fortune. "I'm perfectly fine if we don't duel, I feel like I'd lose anyway" He laughed nervously and sighed "So, um...do you have any idea how many gems are here on Earth? I'm just curious"

[Morion]

"You should really kill him! Or at least crack a little... or bubble him and store for later use, or or or a gift! Thats it, a gift for the Diamonds!
"There is no need to hurt him! Bloodstone is already my obidient servant...
"In your dreams darling, only in your dreams... he is an independent Gem, wich means, not with the Homeworld!
"He is already decided to join me, and our home... he just needs to realize it
"Meh... play your little mind games if you must. But it would be easier to shatter him!
"Shut up...!

Morion nedded to Bloodstone's words

"Live and let live? Be carefull Bloodstone! The Rebels are deceptive and vicious kind... the Earth has corrupted them! They are sick and dangerous! Don't let your guards down, don't let their sweet lies mess with your head! They offering freedom, chance, and such things, but all those are lies! Lies and nothing more! There is no hope to avoid the war, the Rebeles never surender or abandon their crazy ideals! And the Diamond's... are Diamonds. No compromise. Don't let the Rebels give you false hope with their empty promises... don't let them to turn against your own race!

The Smoky Quarz shook his head with a sigh

"Do you really could trust in the Crystal Gems? They are a band of traitors, nothing more! And if someone turned his back to something that was his life, his firm beliefs... he could do again. And again! NEVER trust in someone who betrayed something or somebody already... give him trust and your reward will be another betrayal...

Morion warned the other Gem

"Don't say that! You are strong! You were a soldier in our Army, served under Yellow Diamond... and survived! You are strong and brave, trust me! How many Gems? I... can't really tell, I must admit. But my estimation would be... don't know... around six or seven thousand
