Sodalite's gem sat on the bottom of the ocean, as it had been for little over 3,000 years. She had tried reforming multiple times but it was difficult due to being at such a high pressure, being covered with sand, and having a cracked gem. But finally, it was time she reformed. Her gem started glowing brightly, rising out of the sand. Sodalite then reformed, standing on the sand. Where was she? It was dark.. Really dark. And she was underwater for some reason. Her memories flooded back to her. She was on Earth, and her 'friends' had cracked her gem and tossed her down here.. Question was, for how long? She swam to the surface, which took awhile, but upon doing so realized that it was also raining. Gray clouds above, and a churning sea. A wave crashed over her, and she fell back underwater for a moment. She swam back up, and looked around. Another wave hit her, but she didn't fall back underwater this time. A few boats were out here, the crewmen in a panic. Sodalite had no idea what a boat was, but she saw that it was floating on the water. One of the crewmen looked at her in the water and yelled out "Captain, we've got someone lost at sea!" Before urging her to come on board. She climbed onto the boat, and the crewman said "Wait, are you a gem?" Did this thing know what her race was? She tried remembering what 'this thing' was.
She had seen them once or twice, but it was a long, long time ago most likely. She remembered someone on her scouting crew calling them 'homo sapiens' or something similar to that. "Are you a.. Homo Sapien?" Sodalite said to the man, not looking him in his eyes but instead looking around the ship. "Yes, technically." He said, before then saying "But we prefer to be called humans. Who are you?" Sodalite only knew one response to that. "Sodalite, Facet 3A1M, Cut 5NF." She said, standing at attention now and staring him directly in the eyes. Well, trying to. He was shorter then her so she had to look down. "We'll just call you Sodalite. Follow me. And uh.. At ease?" He said, before turning around. Sodalite dropped her stance, and followed him. Waves rocked the ship back and forth, but the sailor didn't seem fazed. "Captain, this is Sodalite. She was lost at sea." The Captain looked at her. "We don't have space for someone lost at sea. Give her the lifeboat." The crewman nodded. "Yes, Captain." He then walked away from the captain, and towards a lifeboat. This was a smaller boat so it was kind of weird that it had a lifeboat, but Sodalite didn't care. "Simply use this to steer, and pull this thing to start it. Push that thing up or down to control your speed." Sodalite nodded and stepped inside the dinghy/lifeboat. The sailor released the dinghy, and Sodalite pulled the thing she was supposed to. She then pushed the thing she was supposed to, and the boat started moving forward. She pushed it as far forward as she could, and it went faster. She used the steering thingy like the sailor showed her, and now she was on her way. The gray clouds started clearing up, and the waves calmed down a bit. The pouring rain reduced to drizzling rain. She saw a beach in front of her now, and the boat started closing in on it.
