Amber appears as a young mid-teen with a soft pale orange complexion of skin. She doesn't have the most thinnest build, and instead she sports a build that is a bit thicker -though not too much and definitely not muscular enough. She is a smol gem, about the size of in-show smol Peridot (Dorito hair and all). Her hair is also thick, a dark orange color, and is long enough to partially cover her gem. she also wears a white headband, though that is mostly hidden by her hair. She also has short but thick eyebrows that are of the same color as the rest of her hair.
Her clothing consists of a sun dress and a pair of white boots. The top of her sundress is a darker red-orange, however as it nears the bottom it fades into an actual orange, yellow-orange, and then finally yellow. The stripes on the upper portion of her dress (which takes up most of her [from this angle in the photo] left and right shoulders that end diagonally at mid-body and once again appears at the lower portion of the torso before the skirt). Her boots match the whiteness of her headband, and end up to just below the knee.
Personality: Amber is a healing gem that is some-what empathetic to other people's emotions and physical well-being. That being said, she also worries a lot about those aspects. She's usually very bubbly and fun-loving, though knows when to be serious if need be. She's quite knowledgeable of the human world and its current modern customs which she enjoys and has no trouble blending in. However, being still alien to the planet, she can be somewhat oblivious to various situations and can very well be a bit naive. Though she is bubbly and fun-loving, she can also be timid and unsure of herself, seeming to lack a lot of self-confidence. She doesn't see herself as someone important, so she looks after others more than she would care to look after herself.
Likes/Dislikes:
Likes: music, singing, flying, socializing, fun, stargazing, history and culture
Dislikes: spiders, buffering on videos or music, crowds of people
Fears: thunderstorms, not being able to be good or supportive enough, Earth vehicles, spiders, isolation
Weapon: She can summon a bow and arrow from her gem.
Ability
Ability 1: Flight
From her gem she is able to summon what appears to be a pair giant transparent butterfly wings, colored a vivid orange at the top though fades into a peachy apricot color at the bottom. Her wings are modeled after Thaos Swallowtail wings. However, like butterfly wings, they do not work while wet and can get damaged in severe winds. Even though her gem is able to replace those damage wings, it does take a bit of time, just like regenerating bodily forms does.
Ability 2: Energy Transfer
Amber is a healing gem, and therefore has healing abilities. Such ability includes Energy Transfer, where she is able to give her own energy onto others to either improve their mood/aura, repair damaged (not infected) gems, or give them a bit of a boost in combat. She is NOT able to take energy away from other gems, or able to heal gems from being corrupted. In fact, if the gem has any trace of corruption in them, she would not be able to repair their gem or give them a combat boost. The most she would be able to do with those gems is to lull them or have them enter a more peaceful state (lower levels only). If the corrupted gem is in their monster form, she is unable to do anything at all to them regarding this ability.
Fusions: N/A at the moment
History: When Earth was first discovered and plans were made to colonize the planet, of course a variety of gems would be sent to Earth to scout, discover, and turn the planet into one of their own.
Amber had wanted to be one of those pioneers.
Being a low-class healing gem, she strived to prove herself to the officials to become one of the elites. Often times her attempts would end in miserable failure, in which the higher-ups would frown upon her even more. However, despite so many failed attempts and being ridiculed to the point where she nearly lost hope, she had a reason to stay determined.
And that reason was her Diamond, Pink Diamond.
She believed that Pink Diamond had believed in her. She thought that Pink Diamond believed in her strength, her potential, and who she could turn out to be. That's why Amber had been overjoyed to find out she was to help not only to colonize Earth, but she had also been given the big responsibility on helping to maintain and act sort of like a "nurse" to those gems born within the Kindergarten. Amber had believed that if she could pull this off, she could eventually become a mentor for the healing gems, and climb up enough in rank that the officials and superiors would finally recognize how great she was.
Too bad her dreams wouldn't come to be.
There was a glitching malfunction on the ship that was transporting a group of gems, including her, to Earth. The ship crash landed on Earth. Amber's had not been able to escape the ship in time, and as such was buried along with the ship. the impact had created so much damage to Amber's physical body that she had to reside in her gem for many, many, maaaany years.
During these many years, however, her gem was able to create an illusion of itself above the surface, an ability learned from her friend Jade, but not completely mastered. This illusion had wondered the Earth for many years, learning what it could, though mostly acted like a dream self -mindless, and bound to use instinctual and oblivious behavior. This illusion was sentient in a sense that it could register the most important details and interact with other gems, however not as a liable and handy source. This illusion was not present nor near the scenes of battle and rebellion, though was present enough to receive Rose's message. This caused her to wonder back to the crash-sight that had happened so very long ago to become once again a whole-Amber. This voyage had taken a long time, since the illusion did after all act like a mindless dreamself and got side tracked a lot. The dream self had also once believed that it was an actual human, so along the way it had integrated itself into human culture as it grew and expanded.
However, after a long while, the illusion had finally been able to merge back with its actual gem, taking all the memories that it had with it. Just recently has Amber re-emerged and climbed out of the old, moss and vegetation overgrown ship and Earth. She doesn't remember or know all that had happened -in fact, she still believes Earth is being colonized, and that Rose's message was just a set-back in colonization. She does not know what happened to Pink Diamond, or that Pink Diamond after a while developed an alias and love for Earth. She has vague memories of all of this. However, she feels lost without her officials, superiors, or partners from the ship, and therefore seems hesitant to do anything on her mission until further orders are given. She seems it necessary to attempt to repair the hub and warps, though she does not seem to know how to do it. She's very desperate to receive word from her Diamond, but until she does receive word, she is either busy trying to make sense of what has happened and repair the damage done, or chilling and trying to blend into gem and human societies alike.
