Name: Aventurine
Appeared Gender: Female
Appeared Age: 24
Gemstone: www.bing.com/images/search?q=Aventurine+stone&view=detailv2&&id=34696AA3C022572C37C985659265BFF0F5E0A66D&selectedIndex=1&ccid=pBjc18Ga&simid=608035201212482960&thid=OIP.Ma418dcd7c19a1ed55df133666c3a9ea9o0&ajaxhist=0
Gemstone Location: Neck (same place as Yellow Diamond)
Corrupted: No
Appearance: Aventurine is taller than Garnet but shorter than Jasper. She wears an olive green and white striped uniform similar to that of the Rubies and Jasper. The yellow diamond insignia is on her uniform collar in the form of two yellow triangles pointing away from each other, with her gem in the middle . Her hair, like any Quartz, is long, and hers is bice green, and curves up in a U shape to the left. Her boots are low, and pine green, and her pants are also white striped and olive green.
Personality: Aventurine is headstrong, impulsive, and doesn't think twice about charging straight into battle. However, this can be a problem sometimes, as this can lead to ruining a battle strategy or plan entirely. She usually laughs off most minor injuries,
but when her allies are in trouble, she can become deadly serious.
Likes: Crushing her enemies into fragments, running, playing the Gem equivalent of Chicken, the Diamond Authority.
Dislikes: Crystal Rebels, her battle comrades getting cracked, shattered, etc., deer and most bipedal animals.
Fears: Failure, getting shattered, being rejected by Homeworld.
Weapon: A gray and green mace with white spikes (Chain is gray, too)
Ability 1: Heal Rocks (Gems) With...Rocks.
-Aventurine can use soil, dirt, and non-Gem rocks to heal Gems, kind of like a reverse Kindergarten. She does this by putting some of her energy into the rock/dirt/soil, and uses the energy in the rock to heal a Gem. Because she uses some of her energy to do this, she cannot summon her weapon immediately after performing the ability, leaving her semi-vulnerable. But then again, she's a Quartz. Cannot put energy into anything other than rock or soil.
Story: Aventurine was made on Homeworld, but came out upside down. Nonetheless, she is not, as her Diamond would call "defective" (Her Diamond is Yellow Diamond). She resides on Homeworld, waiting for a war to break out, so she can bravely fight in the name of Diamond Authority (and also heal some ally Gems, too, seeing as she is a battle medic, battling more than fighting). But, the rebellion, which spiralled into a war many a decade after she was made, was not what she wanted or expected.
Character Arcs:
1. Adventurine Begins to Exist- Adventurine comes out of a hole, and is informed she is destined to be a powerful warrior. She learns to fight, summon her weapon, and how Homeworld's culture is perfect in every way.
2. Perfection Is a Lie- Adventurine learns that not everything can be perfect, by becoming the temporary bodyguard to a flawed Emerald.
3. But My Home is the Truth- Emerald had been crushed due to insubordination. Despite this, and the fact that a small group of her friends beginning to doubt the system of Homeworld, Adventurine is determined to stay loyal to her home and her Diamond. Even if the pink lady in the sky sounded convincing.
