"I have a lot of respect for scout gems, because it brings a lot of risk to do what you do, and you do it for the diamonds too."[/i]
Gaspeite would collect her thoughts and think about a proper answer while Carbide bombards her with questions. She was a rather old permafusion, and she had to experiment how it worked, so Gaspeite is not unknown to her feelings.
"When you are a fusion, it is a matter of the component's minds being put in common. After that, it's currently weird to explain how the mind thing works, there are no words for it precisely, the result of a fusion is that both gems' intents are together, but it's also possible to keep secrets. But wait, you said you came close to fusion? I'm interested."
"Floating island? Are you talking about the sky temple? One of the most beautiful structures on Earth, but yes, that place seems to be the best fitting for meditation."

"Yes the Sky Temple, thats the one, possibly one of the quietest places that I know of on this world, aside from being deep under water, or up so high on a mountaintop that the air is so thin that there is hardly any blue in the sky, because there isn't enough atmosphere for the light to reflect off of. Er.. but I digress, we could go there together if you like, or if that is time you feel that would be better spent on your own, thats fine too."
Carbide turns and leans back against the railing, letting her hair dangle down over the street far far below. She certainly hadn't expected to be back in Empire City so quickly, but thats how it goes some times, besides, Gaspeite was turning out to be some of the best conversation she had in ages.
"Thanks for saying so.. the scout thing, acknowledging the risk and all that, truthfully I sometimes ended up with what you might call survivor guilt from time to time, simply because to my knowledge, they never made a mass produced scout type, much less a prototype that's got more resilience than a big ol heavy Quartz. As for my near fusion, we ll just say that it was someone I thought pretty close, but can't seem to locate any more, made me sad for a while, mighta been nice to experience, but circumstance reared its head and interrupted. "
She draws a deep breath and lets it out..."I'll tell you more some time, but for now, perhaps we should go check on our two dancers back in the main hall, they're either getting bored or have forgotten that anything or anyone else exists in this world I think."

Gaspeite never talked like that and for so long before, usually she would get assigned a task or just talk very shortly to someone, but never an actual long conversation. Our fusion would clearly remember the Sky temple in her head, memories of having visited the place. She knows that it is an excellent place for what she wants to do, that is, be in peace with herself. Or, themselves... nevermind :I.
"You're welcome, and I will certainly attempt to accommodate with human structures and learn them, who knows, they might be interesting! Just remember, that you have to be sure who you fuse with. A bad relationship makes a bad fusion, keep that in mind. And, if you wish to come meditate to the sky temple, feel free to do so, I will go there shortly after I scanned part of this city for my screen."
She would look in the direction of the upcoming dawn from the balcony, raising her visor as she takes a mind photo of the scenery. It makes her think that Homeworld is also in a solar system, and that the same thing happens back there. Only Peridot has seem Homeworld, since Vesuvianite was created on Earth and the other one on Homeworld. Gaspeite nods at Carbide, walking with her back to the door. She attempt to open the door, learning how a hinge works, then walks inside the room.
The Smoky Quartz was inside with his Bloodstone At the moment he was singing a song for him: "Let's live before die... lets laugh before we cry Let's hold each other tight and die Let's try before we fail Let's fly before we bail Let's keep things black and white and dance!
The World, We See. Can only be our friend If You. And Me, keep dancing till the end Cant' we see eye to eye, and over simplify. Lets live before we die and dance!"
(I've never been inclined, to leave the past behind)
Lets stay right where we are, and dance!
(Its like a castanet..we'll click with no regret!)
Let's find the evening star and dance...
The place were in, can never be what was Till we begin to do what dancing does
Don't leave me high and dry But can't you see that I say live before we die..and..
If time keeps ticking by... Then maybe we should try to face it as a pair and dance!
Although we're lost! Where drifting out to sea But side by side, where gloomy as can be.. As gloomy as can be...If you can take my hand.. Then surely, we could stand and live before we die...and... Dance!"
The Smoky Quartz pulled Bloodstone closer... and then showed him the (passionate) Tango^^

Carbide steps through the opened french door, tittering slightly after watching Gaspeite quickly master the intricacies of a human made doorknob, the large Fusion in tow.. "Yeah, just say when you want to go, I'd be pleased to make the trip to the Sky Temple, it would be some good decompression time for su-.."
The heavy scout blinks as Morion and Octy twirl past them a couple yards off, and sink into a deep dip in the tango. She had thought she was used to all the odd things she was seeing and learning about on earth every day, although there always seemed to be something new come along and utterly take the cake.
She crosses her arms and leans in towards the two twitterpated gems..."Well now, If I knew it was going to shape up to be that type of evening, I would have donned my party gown appearance modifier. Look at the mischief this play boy gets you into Octy, Gaspeite and I were only gone for 20 minuets tops... okay maybe more" She looks out the tall windows at the glow of dawn spreading along the rooftops of Empire City. Casting her glance to Gaspeite she wonders in her head if the Fusion knew how to dance, or had ever really tried it before, but she shoo's the thought away before she let her expression look too terribly silly.. besides, surely her component gems knew how to dance some how, they fused right??. She knew that same gem fusions sometimes just seemed to mush their forms together and yell in order to fuse.. at least that was how the rubies seemed to do it..
Octavian blushed as the dance eventually ended. He sighed and looked over at Carbide "I can't help it, okay? I tried to get out of the dance but that guy just drags me into it whether i want to or not." He laughed softly and sighed "So, how's Gaspeite? Is she nice..? As in, like, would the me and her get along alright? Just due to the fact that I'm not exactly as close to Homeworld as she is if you get my point." Bloodstone was a little bit concerned at that but at the same time felt like he could handle her. After all, the fact that he was still here with all the Homeworld gems he's met in the past means something, right?

Gaspeite doesn't have anything to say to make it in the conversation really, she would just keep her composure as always, listening closely to what the people were saying, not understanding a few human words she never heard before, until a thought came into her head for a spark of a time. She instantly raises her finger in a *I wanna say something* manner.
"Were you attempting fusion? Oh wait, no, that's right, nevermind. Well, Carbide, could you show me the way to the warp pad wherever it is?"
Gaspeite would put a bit more shading in her visor since they are in a bright room. She thinks about homeworld for a moment, when Bloodstone talks to Carbide. If the warrior gem was 'independant' as they say, they'd have problems if they keep like that when Pink Diamond would come, making Gaspeite notice that she was in a human spire construction, talking with 2 independant gems and a loyal gem who rules over a human city. She poofs that thought out of her head as she look at the group's general direction, the way they came in and back to the window where the dawn seems to rise fairly slowly still.
The Smoky Qurtz just smiled "...are you jealous, my dear Carbide?"
The assassin teased her with a bit brash voice Then let the Bloodstone go, so the Berserker and the Scout could get a little time alone Tho' he had his concerns... Carbide was semi-loyal, but she was Her Majesty's, White Diamond's Grand Inquisitor, his excellency, the exalted Opalite's friend and companion... while Bloodstone? Well, he was an Independent, but Morion was certain, it was just a "phase" in the Quartz, a whim, that will be gone, when a Diamond arrives But until then they were bad influence to each other... he kept an eye on them At least the Fusion Gaspeite was Loyal... the Assassin watched the Gems behind from his drink and enjoyed the music

Carbide wrinkles her nose a little bit ..
"Nah, the tango really isn't my style to begin with" Her usual catty gravel making a come back in her tone of voice.
She gives Octy's hair a rustle with her hand as she walks past, her shoulders and bust bouncing with a slight chuckle until she walks past Gaspeite and nods to the fusion.
"Yeah, follow me Gaspeite, the warp is down these glass stairs a couple levels.. You gonna follow along Octy, for a minuet or two at least, our fusion Companion wishes to take herself to the Sky temple and I thought we could see her off."
In her mind, she was going through scenarios, wondering how the coming weeks and months were going to play out. It was then that she realized with some relcutance, that she would have to make two or more sets of plans she could follow, depending on what Pink Diamond decided to do, and wether or not she would be willing to listen to Carbide speak, and try and smooth out some of this faction tension before things went pear shaped for both sides, and the Earth as well..
Octavian sighs and follows Carbide and Gaspeite, sticking behind the two of them. He was just as nervous, thinking about what was going to happen once Pink diamond landed..if she ever did in the first place. Bloodstone wasn't willing to just go up and join Homeworld, not without any good reasons. Maybe, he could use his own power as a metaphorical bargaining chip, after all, a berserker would be someone who could turn the tide of battle for any side. Hopefully if nothing else, he and Carbide could possibly try to smooth things over. He knew how much she wanted to keep things from getting crazy, that was why the two of them had originally gone independent in the first place

Gaspeite would simply walk behind Carbide, still looking around the place. At the moment, her mind is a calming storm. The fusion wishes she could be on Homeworld right now, and be calm, not stranded on Earth, stressed about how things are going to go. The current Gems that she met have been very welcoming, even for the one that doesn't really like her in the end because of what she is. Carbide has been a very cool person, and Gaspeite knows they would become friends in the future. Or maybe they are already? The Bloodstone seems fine too, even if her knowledge about him stays very few, she thinks she will have to search him up on her screen later. As for the Smokey Quartz, she hopes she will be able to teach him that fusions aren't so bad or heretic in the future.
For now, they weere headed to the sky temple, so they could have a peacful place for meditation. A nice thought, and she would be able to think about everything and relax her spirits.
The Smoky Quartz watched Bloodstone and Carbide Young, idealistic Gems... dreamers The well dressed assassin rested on his cane, silver eyes watched the two experiment
"Dreams and hopes... soon to be crashed, am I right darling?"
The Voice giggled in his head. He tried to ignore it, but he must admit, this time, the Voice was right The assassin rubbed the bridge of his nose, with closed eyes He felt sorry for them "The footsteps in the sand are erased, but only after you have walked them..."
He murmured to himself Then looked to the Fusion... the Herald of Pink Diamond Morion smiled politely "It was a pleasure Fusion Gaspeite! Come back any time, I'll provide you a whole level... it would be honor to have you as a guest!"

Carbide watched over her shoulder as the two seemed to fall in tow as her head bobbed along, disappearing down a glass panel staircase, with a winding, sweeping curve of expensive architecture and high class. It lead down from the more private upper floors to a large plaza like area that seemed to be about 3 floors in depth, but wide open, with plenty of open space. Banners with circles and dashes, stacked on top of one another hung floating in the air from thin steel cables. To the uninitiated the pastel colours and simple geometric shapes appeared to be little more than decoration, abstract modern art, but any gem would recognize them easily enough, they were the planetary insignias of the Diamonds, a veritable roster of major colonies and worlds controlled directly by each matriarchal figure, and it was strange how they simultaneously gave Carbide a feeling of pride and trepidation.
Stepping out onto the gallery floor of the upper plaza, the lowest few floors and street level still below them, the purloined warp pad stood at the center, with various people circulating past it, kept at a polite distance by black suits and earpieces and name badges that probably all read "Juan" or "Pablo".
She was glad to be warping out, as always, her projection seemed to have an unnatural stamina for absorbing and negating hits.. but the crowded nature of the city, at least by day, seemed to wear down a inner buffer of patience and focus that the heavy scout seemed to have a decidedly more finite supply of. Truthfully, she did okay in the city and around crowds, although only when the masses about her were not busy focusing their attention or questions or stares, at the girl, with a chunk of rock in her back, dusty greyish plum skin, hair that was dark but seemed to be dyed with an almost peacock iridescence and standing about 4 to 8 inches taller than the average female of the native species.
Standing with cocked hips, she waits by the pad until the two following her catch up, then holds her arms open to Octy for a hug, not quite sure if their Fusion companion was as well versed in the custom...
"Well whats the plan from here on out everyone? I know Gaspeite mentioned wanting to stop by the Sky Temple for some quiet focus time, I may join her there in a little bit, but first I think I am going to reacquaint myself with a crevice that leads to a lava plume way down in the kindergarten, should do me some good to dispel these boots and a few other things, now that I think of it, and let that lovely lava melt some cares away, It always seems to perk me back up. Don't think either of you are mad with that sorta heat in mind, otherwise I'd be pleased to have you along, its not the brightest sunniest location, but it sure is nice and quiet, hehe."
Bloodstone sighed and smiled, hugging Carbide back and seeming to relax. He shrugged and smirked "I'm okay with that. Admittedly I feel like I could use some relaxation. If nothing else, the sight would have to be fascinating for sure. I've read some stuff about lava plumes here on Earth but admittedly I haven't been able to check something out. I wouldn't mind if that's alright..." Octi looked up at Gaspeite "I do hope that your time at the Sky Temple helps you out. I've been there before and I feel like it's quite the sight for a gem to visit. It's a good meditation spot..it's helped me out a few times if nothing else." He shrugged, trying his best to offer some help

The gems were walking over to the pad.
Gaspeite didn't have heat resistance, even though she was part Peridot and that made her stronger against physical trauma, so Lava baths weren't her thing. She smiles a bit while saying: "Alright, to the Sky Temple we go, It has been a long time since I saw it, heh. It's gonna be nice, I hope we won't have to fight any hostiles when we arrive!
The gems would stand still as the light coming from the path would swooce the gems, making them disappear into thin light while leaving Morion in his skyscraper. Headed towards the sky temple, it was only the beginning for Gaspeite. There was so much to doo, so much to seeon the site, and she was only getting introduced to it, but now it was time to go to the sky temple .

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
