Gaspeite was wandering at the edge of Empire city, not too close to the city itself, but the was leaving more in the direction of the suburbs because she was quite the big green giant, and still not too far. When you look at the stars from 'under the city', everything disappears! It must be all that light from the human residential buildings, 'What a waste.' she thought. She taps on her screen as she observes the surroundings, sometimes looking over at the tall buildings. It was a good opportunity to pass her time to learn about the life on Earth, even though she cared so little about it, it's her Peridot side that wanted to learn more.
"Log date 09 - 10 - 28, the human city is overcrowded, waves of humans seem to flush down these walking ways. The sun is Three-fourth into it's descent, I overheard humans talk about "end of work", which might be refferencing shifts? So far haven't met any other gems in the city, but it might be because I try not to draw attention, these humans are easily frightened by my physical appearance. I wish to see Quartz, Rubies, or anything, but just a gem from our Homleworld which is still loyal. Oh, last point, it seems that the human build incoherently their living monuments, the main city has very tall ones, and these ones on the edge of the taller ones look more like big unmotorised ships. Gaspeite out.
She closes the recording, and continues to walk around examining everything with her visor, scanning around swiftly if there was a gem amongst the couple of people exiting the city.
While she least expected it, her tall figure seems to attract attention as a voice comes from behind her.
For some time now Sassy sort of lived in Empire city. It was a bit difficult to call it living given the low requisites for gemstones to stay alive but it was a presence none the less. In her attempt to merge into society she emulated more and more of human behaviors. This while fun also proved a quiet demanding challenge of constant activity and mindfulness of her surroundings but was still better than the maddening loneliness of hiding on some forsaken by fate forest. To rest from those challenges she would sit down in the quietest parts of town - various locations in the outskirts - to take a breather. One of the human past times she grew to like a lot was gaming. Various digital entertainment applications not common at all on homeworld, which probably didn't include the word for "entertainment" in it's dictionary at all. Would you have guessed it during one of those breathers right after she lost another life on her handheld console, Sassy looked around to notice a gigantic gem fusion walking about the place. Well gigantic was a bit of stretch given that it was about what? Two meters? Very occasionally humans came in that size though that might have been based on where they are from. It was still quiet a bit more height than Sassy had and double the arms. The pink pearl started to sweat a bit thinking to herself "okay, how do I not get involved in anything? I wasn't noticed. If I move now will that be suspicious?" but then she realized "Wait, I look like a human. If I just sit here she might simply walk by me. Let's keep playing." she decided pushing the screen closer to her eyes and losing a lot of quality in her gaming performance.
Seeing another gem in the buzzing crowd of humans, A khaki colored gem wearing a trench coat and fedora approached Zriph. "Greetings! It's nice to meet another gem. I am Flint, but some of the primitive lifeforms here call me 'Rocky'." he said calmly as he offered his hand for a formal handshake. "Mind if I ask, but what brings you to this place? Now, you might ask me the same thing, but I am investigating the reasons why Homeworld lost connection to Earth." he said. He takes out a small notebook and a pen out of the pocket of his trench coat. He was ready to jot down information from Zriph. "Now, do you bear knowledge of where the communication hubs are?" he finally asked.

It was few only few days since Chip moved to the Empire city and it was still as impressive as when he saw it for the first time. Those humans surely knew how to build with grandeur. Since he never saw homeworld, he had nothing to compare this with. He was just strolling through the city, with his hoodie nobody gave him second look, he was just one of many humanoids who were going somewhere. He knew how to blend in perfectly. That couldn't be said about that green 4 armed giant he saw. She was as subtle as the Matrix. He haven't seen any other gems here in the city, except of Boss and his partners. And she wasn't alone... he had no idea what was going on, but he wanted to find out so he decided to check it out, covertly. After all, boss might be interested in gems strolling through his city... what if they were the rebels! He came as close as he felt was enough to listen, yet not so close to be suspicious. After all he was just a mere human child... what gem would pay attention to him... at least that was his plan... the problem was that his plans usually went horribly wrong...

Extremely confused about the thing happening infront of her, Gaspeite really uses her 2 minds to decompose the things happening. Getting her attention broken from what she was thinking, a gem as tall as a quartz just casually apeared infront of her, asking Gaspeite god knows how many questions in under a minute.
When he reaches out with his hand, Gaspeite doesn't understand the motion and rather does a Diamond salute, leaving Flint hanging unwantedly.
"What!? She says with a shocked expression, having taken a step back because of it. You are a flint, one of the quartz soldier kind?
I know why we can't communicate with Homeworld, it's because the communication hub is destroyed and we don't have any form of repair power! It is literally one of the reason why everyone's stranded on Earth."
She kind of felt aggressed, not physically but just by the fact that the gem just went to her and started asking her questions like it was a interrogatory. Gaspeite takes out a small version of her screen that she operates with her lower-left hand as low as she can lower her arm.
Being a bit offended by the fact Zriph did not take his offer for the handshake, he shrugged it off and did the diamond salute instead. He also jotted down the information that she provided him. "Sorry. I got used to human customs here. And yes, I am a flint quatrz soldier, but I am a bit better than the average flint quartz since I was recognized by Yellow Diamond for my skills in the field of investigation, and was sent here on a mission. So, one more question before I dismiss you. Do you know who is responsible for the destruction of these important gem structures? If we cannot fix them, then the least we can do is capture those responsible." he said as he gets ready to write in his notebook again.

He listened to what they were saying, but it wasn't anything interesting. Just some thing about investigation, catching the people who sabotaged something... at least it seemed, that they were loyal to the Diamonds, which meant, that they were on the same side... in a way. Chip wasn't all that loyal to the Diamonds, but he was loyal to the Boss, who were loyal to them. Perhaps they could be of some use to the Boss... it was worth looking into. And if they somehow spot him, he could always reveal himself as a fellow gem. But right now it was safer to observe... after all most of the gems he met so far were quite against imperfect gems... and he would rather not find out the hard way what is their point of view...

Gaspeite seemed put together when she answered calmly to the Smokey Quartz.
"I know the rebels did it, who are called the crystal gems, but I have no idea where they are, and I don't really want to have business with them. Also, nice to meet a Homeworld compatriot here. If it helps with your report, I am fusion Gaspeite, Facet-EF5A Cut-0FE.
That smokey Quartz in Empire City, you could maybe find him, he usually roams around the city, he could help you with a few more details, but the big painting is that the Comms relay and the pads were broken by those Crystal Gems.
Anything else? she says as she takes a look around after she finishes talking.
The jasper sat on a hill, overlooking what the humans called 'Empire City'. She had seen it a few times before, but never at night. The golden lights of the city drowned out the twinkling stars she saw if she looked towards the outskirts of the town. She shifted her gaze back to the city's nighttime glow when she saw something that looked vaguely inhumane, a ways over. Bumble hopped the fence she had been leaning on and trod into the forest in order to keep her distance from her discovery. What is that? she thought to herself. Going against what her conscience was telling her, she decided to stroll a bit closer, in order to get the best view. However, her vision was mainly blocked by a large green figure, which she presumed to be a gem A fusion!?!?!? Must be a meeting of Crystal Gems. Ought to be good. Bumble kept her back to the tree and attempted to listen to any conversation that may be occurring.
This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
