"Well my dear Pyrope, everything in this place is useless for us, i am hoping that we can salvage this power core and find a new place for it Like a new hub!". She smiled innocently, trying her best to yank the core from its resting place "Progress is such a superficial term, nothing is ever set in stone my dear. That's why we always have scientists and scientific theories!" For some odd reason, this whole time Obsidian felt so excited for some odd reason as if she was back to her old self during the Black Stone Palm days...
Or it can be one of her unstable mind acting up again, either way it just happens.
"Help me with.this.THING!" She made a loud grunt, her weak strength is unable to yank the power core.
She titled her head as Obsidian tried in vain to rip out the core from its socket, stopping just short of chuckling to herself. He stepped up, "Let me help..." lightly pushing Obsidian away, Pyrope reached out and prepared to pluck the tech out. However, it seemed Obsidian wasn't kidding. This thing really was stuck on tight. She rearranged herself to get a better grip, using both hands (and a foot at the base of the panel). With a heave she yanked back on the core, pulling with her full strength. It didn't take very long for her to realize that perhaps she had a mistake.
The tall gem was sent spiraling backwards, straight backwards onto the obsidian watching over her shoulder. The next thing she knew she was face down on some sort of... soft surface? She was expecting the hard embrace of the dirt but... She lifted herself up, looking down at... Obsidian? In her acrobatics she had managed to land right on top of her and face first... A distinct dark red blush grew on her cheeks, "Oh uhm... I uh... s-s.. uh..." Despite her previous 'cool-girl' attitude, Pyrope had actually found herself speechless, and still on top of this gem she had only just met.

"You better pray to Diamonds that i won't kill you for this" Obsidian scowled deep in her mind, she too grew a light grey blush on her cheeks. She found herself to be quite a strange situation, it was kinda hard for her to show either disgust or...strangely enough..positive feelings toward this gem she had just met. It also didn't help what decision to make due to some...big..soft..round.. Oh god that's her..
Obsidian silently made a cute surprised sound when she had her hands around Pyrope...body like that. Her face gave off a embarrassed confused look while she was directly underneath Pyrope face.
It also didn't help that her own face was merely inches away from Pyrope face. "I.um. yes.eerr"
The silence lingered for a few moments too long as Pyrope just sat there, stunned by the awkwardness. Eventually she unfroze, blinking a few times as she realized the situation, "S-Sorry, I didn't realize my own strength." She pulled her face away from Obsidian, following by finally standing up and off of her. Despite Obsidian cushioning her fall she dusted herself off, trying to avert her attention off of what just happened. It then struck her, glancing all around for the core. She had succeeded in pulling it from its socket, but where had it gone?
Her eyes scanned the ground until she finally found it, just barely inches away from being sat on by Obsidian. For once she couldn't help herself, breaking out into a rather uncharacteristic laugh. Though she did bring herself back under control quickly, "It's, hehehe... I believe the core is under you. Do be careful." As funny as it was, it'd be unfortunate if the core found its end at... well her end.

"Hm?" Obsidian rolled to her right side, avoiding colliding into the core. She then looked down, spotting the core "A-ah, i see what you mean.." she bushed lightly once again, thanking the diamonds for not letting her ...well you know with the core. "N-next time be careful jeez!" Obsidian puffed her cheeks at Pyrope with a slight irritated look on her face "You could've dangerously hurt me!". Obsidian coughed awkwardly as she went to pick up the core, she had to admit the core itself was rather indeed heavy for her. She huffed as she carried the core around her before she had set it down on the decommissioned warp pad "Alright... With this, we can power up another area that has capability to contact Homeworld!"
She almost looked flustered for a moment, "What! I was just... I... grr..." she crossed her arms and shuffled her feet around, "Fair enough... Sorry I nearly crushed you. I'm not exactly used to you techy gems. Too easy to snap~" She gave her a bit of a wink, following behind Obsidian as she continued her work. She almost offered to help carry the core for her, noting her... less than ample strength, though she didn't want to suggest she was too weak to carry it. Luckily enough the scientist did manage to carry it without dropping the rather fragile piece.
Her face very quickly gave way to excitement, "This really might work, won't it..." The idea had been almost abandoned but an hour ago, and yet now she couldn't help but get her hopes up. The fusion stood by as before, ready to assist at a moments notice. Already her mind was going over all they had to report to the Diamonds, so much to catch up on! And perhaps, once reinforcements arrived, she might finally leave this place.

Obsidian blushed at the wink, turning away to avoid further eye contact " T-thats not true.. I'll show you that I am very durable.." Obsidian huffed, stretching her back as she looked at the device. "Yes it will work, unless someone would destroy it." she added in, knowing the rebels would interfere with communicating Homeworld. "Would you mind carrying this item for a bit? We're gonna have to find another place where it could use this core." She looked at Pyrope "So um What have you been doing this whole time?" she looked at her, somewhat curious on what she has been doing on her spare time here on earth.
(This is what i got now, i know it sucks but im tired atm lol)
Pyrope chuckled, "A durable science gem? Now that I'd love to see..." Despite her casual mocking, she was actually feeling rather excited. Crystal Gem incursions aside, they might actually be the first to establish contact outside the planet! To think, a lowly pyrope like herself being instrumental to such a victory... She might even get congratulations from a diamond herself! How magnificent that would be, and yet... It struck her deep down that maybe, just maybe, she didn't want to meet the diamonds? Such an idea was ridiculous and yet, there it was. Without realizing it, she reached and ran a hand over the gem in her chest. She didn't realize Obsidian had said something at first, seemingly staring off at the floor, "Huh? Oh, right of course!" She lifted up the spare part with little effort, waiting for Obsidian to lead the way around.
Again, some inner voice made her wonder what if she just dropped the piece. If she broke it on 'accident' so it couldn't be finished. Her idea however was interrupted by Obsidian's question, "I uh, wasn't really doing much to be honest. After my services were no longer needed, on account of the whole rebellion thing, I just sort of laid low. Being a loyal gem wasn't exactly a safe thing to be for a while. It was honestly rather boring, but we made do." She didn't seem to notice her use of 'we' as she ran her eyes across the gem on her arm currently carrying the piece of tech.

"I see" She commented, walking ahead of the Pyrope towards the entrance of the seas spire. "I'm going on ahead, i'm calling for my escort so we don't have to travel by warp pad or via teleportation." she said before moving on ahead. She pulled out the data pad and tapped the strange lights that appeared outside of the data-pad, sending a order to her pearl that it's time to pick her up, a small communication hub appeared "Pearl, bring the ship to these coordinates, alert Dolomite that we'll have a small guest for tonight." The pearl nodded and the screen turned off.
She then sent the coordinates to her ship, looking back to see Pryope an idea popped in her head. What if she would join forces with me? I simply just have to make it seem like i am in a desperate situation and proclaim that i am a important asset to Homeworld and she'll fall for my lies.
She stopped and waited as Obsidian made her call, too lost in her own mind to question why she didn't want to travel by warp pad. She stood in place, back turned to Obsidian, with the piece of tech in hand as if it was nothing. The gem almost seemed to be mumbling to herself, bits and pieces just barely audible, "I know but... still that doesn't exactly mean we can't... It has been a while...still, it's only reasonable...when aren't we." She chuckled to herself, over some unheard joke to herself, and turned back to Obsidian just as she had finished calling whoever it was she was calling. "So we have a ride on its way then? I suppose I'll be lugging this thing around for a bit then..." She sat down and put the core down in her lap to relax, leaning backwards onto her hands until Obsidian had some sort of other order.
Melody: I am doing pretty good

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption" is being treated like a virus due to lack of info about it on the show.
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
