It's midday in Empire city, and the sky would be cloudy, and it looks like the clouds are going to weighten the mood by bringing rain shortly. In a nearly-empty street inside the city, a Green-yellow'ish silhouette would be seen, walking with a weird floating hologram infront of her. It looks like a screen. The big individual is a very tall gem, with 4 arms, walking down the street as she seems to talk to herself for the moment.
"Data log 12 02 18, humans have a specific arrangement for their "habitation modules", refer to Data log 12 01 05 for specific terms. The bigger buildings make a center, and then the height lowers as the city spreads. The most efficient habitations being the tall ones, which look like they can contain more people compared to the further ones. The humans also have a habit of keeping the non-moving organic lives gathered around in some areas. They also developed ways of monitoring the movements of their primitive ships with color signals, thanks to a certain gem explaining me how they worked. Data log 12-02-18, Gaspeite out.
The tall figure would be headed towards the center of the city.

It was very cloudy day, not at all good for flying, especially since it would most likely start to rain soon. Nonetheless it haven't stopped the young Fire Opal to fly over the city. From the bird's point of view the city was quite impressive, though he liked it more in night, when the entire city was shining like a gem in the darkness.
While flying he noticed something strange... it was apparently gem and it was quite big... he flew a little lower, so he could look at it better... it had four arms... could it possibly be a fusion? Morion was talking about some weird fusion, that was allowed by some Diamond... could this be her? He flew even lower, so he hovered just a meter above the fusion.
He greeted the fusion from above. It was looking strangely familiar though...

Gaspeite didn't think she was going to meet anyone, even though she was walking in a city where some gems lived, so in the end she wasn't very surprised. An orange-ey figure was floating not high above her, it was a rather short gem, with blazing wings somewhat hindered by the rain. She would have finished her monologue, slowly closing her screen as she observes the fire gems, while saying "Greetings, are you the Fire Opal, Chip? Well, n-nice to meet you."
It was the first time that Gaspeite wasn't totally sure of what she was doing. At the end of the sentence, she does a weird Diamond salute, not sure if Chip was into that, after what Morion told her. If this was truly the Fire Opal, and not some other fire element gem, the memories of the Opal would come back to her. Even though she think Morion tried to make them 2 different gems, they were strangely close for it to be a coincidence.

Chip was still flying above the fusion. He ignored the rain since it wasn't nearly strong enough to weaken his fire wings. It seemed that the fusion was talking to her screen... like peridots did. The fusion kinda looked like a peridot... with something else of course... he decided to be careful... "Yup, Chip, that's me... so you've heard about me? You're the herald fusion right? Morion was talking about you when we were talking about fusion... "
Chip started talking, since he was quite fascinated with fusion and never saw one before. Or at least one he would know about. He ignored the Diamond salute, since he cared very little about Diamonds. The only way he would ever do the salute would be if he was directly talking to a diamond...

Gaspeite would not be offended by him ignoring the salute, she knew that might happen. She was thinking a lot, Morion reffering to Gaspeite as a herald, even though she did not feel so high in the hierarchy. Gaspeite was also confused about Chip, but she might aswell never talk about that incident, she put it apart with the hope that they didn't correlate more than the very close resemblance. And even if it was the one, she didn't care about it.
"Yes, Morion reffered to you as his apprentice, but I did not think I would meet the so-called Chip so quickly.
She smiled and rotated her head slightly as in a questioning manner, she was getting interested.
"You were talking about fusions? Heh, I have to assume you started the talk, since Morion's not a big fan of the subject. Are you interested about the topic?"
Gaspeite felt free on the subject, even though it struck her that a lot of what she knows are confidential, but she wouldn't have to hide anything chat-worthy.
Post by Chip the Fire Opal on Nov 6, 2016 23:28:54 GMT
Chip nodded several time.
"Yup, Morion took me as his apprentice so I guess that's what I am. So now I'm Chip, the Eternal Flame, the Rising Phoenix and Protector of Empire City. And I'm not so-called Chip, I am Chip... "
It was his name, there was nothing so-called about it. He just smiled and finally flew even lower, this time so he could talk to the fusion eye to eye. It was a little rude, forcing the fusion to rotate it's head all around just to talk to him.
"Well you assume correctly. Morion is quite anti-fusion. I think he consider them just as war-machines... but I think fusion sounds like an interesting subject. Though I doubt I will ever try it..."
Post by Zriphelo (Gaspeite) on Nov 7, 2016 17:24:47 GMT
Gaspeite had a spark when he answered, because she used "so-called" in a more litteral meaning, and not the expression. She meant to say that it's what she heard about him.
"Well, no doubt that Morion took you under his wing. Alright, well, for those rebellious gems, Fusion in general is a way of showing that they are free. Fusion is a the ultimate bond between two gems, as they say, and honestly I personally can't hate them for ONLY THAT, but it's still going out of the way of the Diamonds, and I still have a lot more reasons to be fighting them. Earth was so promising, and they just doomed it's fate...
Morion told me that you were chased by gems because of, well, it hurts to say that word, I think you can figure it out..."
if Gaspeite was human, she would look pale, but she tried to keep a normal face and was good at it.
Post by Chip the Fire Opal on Nov 7, 2016 17:45:54 GMT
"Doomed it's fate? You were talking to Morion too much, weren't you... I don't think Earth is doomed... Earth is actually quite glorious... have you seen how many different life forms are living here? One could spent thousands of years studying them and still not learning even half of what is there to learn..."
He disagreed strongly. He liked Earth just the way it was... Morion was always very gloomy about the future of the Earth, but Chip didn't believe, that the Diamonds will ever come back... and if they will, they will come to destroy, not save anyone... so either way there was no reason to be looking forward to it...
"And yes, I was running from gems, because some idiotic Peridots tried to shatter me, when they found out they messed up their job... apparently not being perfect is insulting Diamonds..."
He said like it didn't mean much for him anymore, even though it still meant a lot... and he was not going to forgive them, ever... and not even after ever...
Post by Zriphelo (Gaspeite) on Nov 7, 2016 23:47:58 GMT
"Chip, when Her Majesty Pink Diamond arrives and settles everything, you can be sure that Earth will be fully used to serve the Gem Empire, and human wouldn't exist anymore, right? At least, not on Earth. I am sure Morion already talked to you about the biosphere. I have no idea if it is a possibility, but only time can tell."
After Chip finished talking about the horrible events that happened with the péridots, Gaspeite wouldn't think twice.
"What a disgrace! Peridots should know better! Earth is in shambling conditions, and other Peridots are or were wasting resources by shattering gems? Chip, every gem has a place, those Peridots should have been punished, I am sorry if this is now your image on Peridot gems, Gaspeite said in a light voice, still in a commando tone: Not all of them are like that, even though a monster made out of a Peridot is roaming Earth, too.
Gaspeite's words were genuine, it felt like she personally knew what happened back there, she was horrified that Peridot gems could attempt to waste Earth resources, and to be honest, Chip was infront of her, alive and, not really defective at her eyes. Though, she could be mistaken, because after all she is fakin' huge, so judging heights wasn't her thing.
Post by Chip the Fire Opal on Nov 8, 2016 9:21:22 GMT
"Yes, Morion told me, that we gems are huge intergalactic jerks, who destroy every single planet we find... hallow it up, like some giant space locusts... because why not destroying thousands of species just for few minerals... I mean organic life... been there done that... yawn... "
Chip once again showed his talent to irony, sarcasm and hyperbole.
"Yes, well fortunately someone got to them before I could... every time I see a peridot I just can't control my anger... and with that I am getting a little fiery... in more then one sense... "
He said. The truth was, he wasn't really aggressive, but this was the only thing that made him loose control... and his fires could be a terrible weapon if left unchecked...

Gaspeite has a very present " O.O " face, knowing that Chip hated Péridots, just like racist people on Earth. Why, well it's because not every Peridot wants to kill him, only the ones that were responsible of the kindergarden at the time were trying to shatter him. It was kinda saddening, so Gaspeite just didn't talk about her component gems.
"That's not fait, what if a Peridot, for example, didn't like what the other ones tried to do to you? You can't fight someone who has nothing bad that has to do with you, right? Although let's not go too far into the subject, I get it that it's not a good memory, even though Péridots were exterminated the first by rebels.
"Let's talk 'bout a better topic, do you like exploration?"
Gaspeite started liking Chip, it was weird, but Chip was a nice fella.
Post by Chip the Fire Opal on Nov 8, 2016 17:54:12 GMT
"I know... I shouldn't hate all peridots... I know that... and I don't want to... but... even thinking about them makes me terribly angry... I can't help it... I just remember to well how they were gathering around me... I was trying to find someone to help me... and there was nobody... not even one of them... so I blasted them... and run..."
He didn't want to feel like that... it wasn't fair nor wise to hate an entire group of gems... but he jut did... and it was stronger then him...
"I do actually. I explored a lot... since I can cover a lot of ground while flying I saw a lot of this world... not enough, but quite a lot... you do explore a lot?"
Post by Zriphelo (Gaspeite) on Nov 8, 2016 18:13:07 GMT
Gaspeite nodded, she understood that it was hard for him to forget about harsh memories. Maybe Chip should meditate around that? Ech, if those feelings were strong it would not do anything.
"I do! She said kinda proudlyIt's what's keeping me doing something useful on Earth. I am making a three dimensional plan of this city, the surroundings and anything that I capture in my visor. My screen automatically correlates and creates a 3-dimensional replica of what it captures, an advantage of being ha- Er... well, having that capability.
Gaspeite hid as best as she can what she was saying, after all who had Lime screens? Yes, those were mainly Peridorito gems, and even though she was just over-thinking, she hoped that Chip did not put those together, he could also never have seen a Peridot screen directly.
It is very nice, I had surprises discovering human architecture and some monuments, next step is going to finish this fourth of the city while I am walking back to Morion's building, then next step is the surroundings of the city, and also the closest "Beach" to Empire city. I also want to see what humans call a forest. You know, I am not a scout gem or an explorer, but Morion has a point, if humans have a chance of being sampled in a biosphere, we would be fully documented on how to make it fitting. Even though whatever happens on that side, I am still doing this because I can't stand to do nothing and procrastinate.
That sparked a memory, Morion talked about video games.
"Oh, Chip, could you show me what is a video game? I want to see what it looks like."
Post by Chip the Fire Opal on Nov 8, 2016 19:05:19 GMT
"Why are you doing three dimensional plan of this city? You can pretty much look at that at google maps... I guess you can download it into your high-tech wrist thingie..."
He said. Humans were quite busy with 3D mapping their cities... and roads... well pretty much everything. There was no point in doing that again... "Well I am really good at doing nothing... I can sit for hours in my room, playing the new Colonisation VI... or just watching something on TV... but I also checked a whole lot of Gem structures before... I saw the Sky temple... the Lunar sea spire... the healing shrine... and I saw a lot of human cities too... some are really nice... but I heard there are even nicer one across the sea... cities centuries old, full of historical monuments... I'd like to see that I think..."
He said. He didn't watch TV a lot... it was mostly stupid stuff like Crying breakfast friends... but he liked Documentaries about history...
Post by Zriphelo (Gaspeite) on Nov 8, 2016 22:32:14 GMT
Gaspeite noticed Chip was always finishing his sentences slowly, like he was depressed. She was sure Morion had something to do, maybe? That thought was useless, so she just wooshed that away.
"Sorry, google maps? You will have to show this to me, I am very interested! Also, this is not a wrist device, I make a screen appear right to the tip of my fingers, or I also can make a bigger screen by using my fingers directly, they're detachable.
There are human structures across the sea? Interesting. Just like there are Gem structures on the sea, and the sea spire which swallows a part of the sea. I would also like to see those human structures, but, not now. And I don't have wings, but that's not a big deal. Anyway, I'm very interested with that video game simulation thing, could you show me what are those video games later when we come back?".

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
