Screeches were heard from the room as the elevator doors closed. The elevator moved steadily, the clicking noises had ceased. When the elevator was almost at the fifteenth floor a 'thud' sound was heard. The doors opened to the roof. The rain was coming down hard. Surprisingly, nothing creepy was to be seen on the roof. It was a flat roof with a concrete wall standing about a meter high surrounding it, to prevent one from falling. Looking over the wall one could see that the floor had in fact gained distance from it's initial distance on the first floor. Nothing in the hotel made sense, but jumping the wall was not an option. Lightning flashed as the rain poured. A small, old fashioned clock laid on the roof, looking quite out of place. The last artifact.

The elevator door opened and he was at the roof... it was actually very refreshing to feel the rain. He saw some old fashioned clock, probably the last artefact... but did he need it? He could just spread his wings and leave this place... he could fly after all... still... he should pick the final artefact. He had two after all... so he came to the third, slowly... this place wasn't creepy, which scared him too, because he was fully expecting something creepy to happen at any time... he came closer to the clock and pick it up... but since the human was dead, he had no idea what should he do with it now... He didn't want to play according to those rules he didn't understand... he spread his wings and shoot himself in the sky, trying to leave this cursed place behind him...
He soon hit an invisible wall in the sky. Of course, it could never be that easy. How the rain went through the invisible wall was just another of the estates mysteries Upon crashing into the wall something happened. All of the artifacts had vanished into thin air! Strangely he was still holding onto something. In his hand was a large golden key. It appeared to the be key that would fit in the doors on the ground floor! The elevator doors opened as if on cue. The refreshing break on the roof had apparently come to an end. It was a moment's reprise but it was time to leave. It was time to return to the dull, horrifying manor.

Of course... magical invisible wall to block his escape... like in some stupid game. There was apparently no other option then to play according to the house's rules. At least he now had key, that could, hopefully, open the main door and end this nightmare. Then of course, he would tell Morion about this house and he would destroy this stupid deathtrap.
He landed next to the elevator and got in, pushing the button for the ground floor. But now, when he knew about the murderous gem he was extremely cautious. He was a survivor after all, he was not going to end his path here, in this terrible godforsaken murderhouse. He didn't burn him to crisp last time, but if he would be stupid enough to face Chip again, he was prepared to fight him, hopefully.
The elevator doors shut, not making a clanging noise. It was almost peaceful in the elevator except for the storm outside. The storm was as loud as ever so it was difficult to tell, but it seemed like the clicking noises even had ceased. The elevator doors opened on the first room, the candles were lit again. It was too good to be true, he wasn't alone. The monster that was with sulfur was standing in the room, gazing at Chip. For some reason it didn't move. It clearly could see him, but for some reason it did not act. The monster may even be Sulfur himself, considering this shed light on similarities between the two. The long, green hair that the monster had was similar to Sulfur's.

Elevator door once more opened... this time it was at the right level. The door were close... the only thing that stood in his way was the weird claw monster. It was watching him... but didn't react in any way so far. It could have been some sort of deception... he decided to warn it...
"I am warning you... if anything will try to stop me I will burn it to the crisp... I am serious about it..."
He said. To his own surprise he was serious about it. He had no intention to harm someone, if it wasn't necessary, but right now he felt like it was... this strange creature was trying to kill him and he was not going to die... he slowly went to the door, paying attention to every shadow.
Suddenly the grandfather clock began to toll at the end of the hour. The beast, Sulfur, continued to stay still. It was facing the gem, clearly it acknowledged him, but why didn't it act? The grandfather clock finally stopped tolling. Save the sound of the storm, it was completely quiet in the hotel. Chip's ears began to ring from the quietness of the room. Sulfur's body was moving slightly, it wavered similar to a blanket in the wind, but much less violent of course. The elevator doors closed, the dial above it moved. The elevator was moving. It moved up to the thirteenth floor. Someone was getting on the elevator! Lightning crashed, Sulfur's body seemed to waver in the wind. He watched Chip with a faceless stare.

There was no time, the elevator was coming up... and when it came down it wouldn't be empty... Chip had to go, now. Without further warning he jumped forward, his fire wings emerged and drove him forward. If the monster wouldn't dodge him, then he would impale it with his lance... he dashed for the door, wanted to open them and leave this place... he was a powerful gem warrior deep down inside, he just didn't know. But right know he could feel it... he could feel like he could take on the entire gem empire... well that didn't help that guy in Empire strikes back, but Chip wasn't a supporting character... and he could control fire, which was always a plus...
The monster did dodge, but in it's own way. The Monster, made out of some stretchy rubberish material, opened a circular hole in the middle of it's chest. The hole expanded until it was at least a meter tall. When Chip flew toward it he went straight through the hole with no resistance. The monster continued it's strange behavior, by that meaning nothing at all. The elevator was already at floor five, it was going down quickly. The monster seemingly noticed this, it started to slink toward the door. Sulfur's reflection screamed at the top of his lungs, even though he was on the thirteenth floor it was very audiable. The elevator was at the second floor, it would open any second!

Chip got to the doors. He had the key... it had to open the doors... right? Otherwise this whole mission was pointless... and he had just enough of this crazy house. Plus he had no intention of learning what was in that elevator. The key had to work... just had to. But just in case it didn't work he was pretty ready to burn this house to the ground... magic or not. Nothing could resist fire forever... not houses, not magic and not even crazy gems. Well one thing was pretty sure, he would never go flying alone at night... and especially not in the storm... because he had absolutely no desire to experience something like this ever again... EVER!
The Elevator had reached the bottom floor. The doors slowly opened, ominously. Inside was a large spiderlike corrupted gem. It was very slimy and inside the slime was Sulfur's mirror! Tendrils of black slime surrounded the frame of the mirror. Sulfur stared out with a horrifying, distorted face. His eyes and mouth were oozing black liquid. It seemed to be shapeshifting taken too far.
"Heeeeeere's SULFUR! " He yelled maniacally as he exited the elevator. Then he noticed that Chip was trying to leave. As the spider approached Chip his face returned to normal and his expression softened.
"You're leaving? That's a relief..." He said, suddenly calm. "I`ll let you go, my monster needed that key to get out aswell, it seems that he was waiting for you. Don't ever come back or bring anyone here...capeesh?"

While Chip was fighting the door some creepy spider monster came down. It got weird pretty quickly... once of those two was apparently Sulfur... and he was... well the correct term was probably nuts... at least it seemed that his drawbridge no longer went all the way across the moat... to put it mildly.
Chip finally opened the door thanks to the key.
"Yes, I'm leaving... and you don't have to worry about ME coming back... but today you made an enemy... and not one... so I would watch every shadow from now on... "
With that Chip spread his wings once more and left this godforsaken place. He wanted nothing more then to go home, eat whole lot of cookies, and spent 2 or 3 days just playing games... and neither of those games would be scary one... but he would also tell Morion about this place... this crazy house was perhaps too much for Chip... but Morion was ten times stronger... with that thought Chip flew faster and faster... quickly disappearing from the view...
The monster slinked out of the house, watching Chip ascend. Sulfur folded his arms.
"...He put extra stress on "me"... apparently he plans to bring someone here..." Sulfur muttered. "Go! Go on! If he brings... that one... then it won't matter if he destroys me, I'm only a mirror of you..." He said to the monster.
The monster started to slink off into the darkness. The storm had stopped, the sun was rising. Sulfur watched it rise, he had to admit, it was a beautiful sunrise. His spider gem crawled back into the manor with his mirror.
"Now I've got to dispose of the old human's corpse... lovely"
The doors of the manor swung ominously shut, making a loud thud.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
