It didn't feel like a dream, but it was. It felt like waking up, but it was sleep. Around was what appeared to be a large, crystal cave. The crystals had a beautiful blue sheen and seemed nice and polished, but looking into one, they were raw. They projected no reflection at all, but were beautiful from a distance. That is, except for the largest crystals.
One crystal on either side, one portrayed a gem who looked about eighteen. He had shoulder length dark green hair, pale green skin and what wore a standard homeworld uniform. However, this uniform had no diamond logo, it had a mixture between a star and a diamond. He had a relaxed look on his face.
On the other was a monster. It vaguely resembled the gem but it's hair was darker and it's face was...nonexistent. It's gem was in the middle of it's bare face. It's body was sicky thin and very flexible. It bent and wavered in the wind of the cave. It was completely still, as if stalking.
The gem in the first mirror looked ahead. He seemed somewhat surprised to be where he was.
"Hello...Are you dreaming or awake? I have no way of knowing..." he mumbled. "I don't mean to intrude while you're awake..."

Obsidian found herself in a crystal gem, she looked around for a bit, remembering her worst experience related to a cave. Obsidian sighed, once she realized that it was not the same cave that she was stuck in before but nevertheless, caves worry her.
She stopped dead center once she heard the voice from the gem on the mirror. Obsidian slowly began to put the pieces together, she wasn't kidnapped or anything like that.
She was with the dream invader from what Morion had told him.
"That is a question i too, don't know." she replied, her calm demeanor showed with her words.
"I never thought gems could achieve such a thing...sleep" she chuckled, eyeing around, taking note of the monster on the other mirror. "Such a strange concept. Who are you?" she asked politely.
Sulfur grinned and put his hands behind his head. For some reason, it had seemed that he was following her movements, but now her hands moved uncontrollably behind her head.
"I'm Sulfur!" He said smiling. "It's nice to meet someone who doesn't want to kill me...like that...other one. He was quite interesting thought...I think I`ll call him Muerte..."
He looked back at Obsidian noticing that he was running his mouth again.
"I Agree, sleep is a strange concept.... Just so you know, this isn't a mere dream, I am communicating through an artifact, a magic crystal ball." he said. "You see, I can't exactly reach gems easily, that monster is how I currently look. I have been alone for quite some time."

"Ah, so i see." she commented, slightly annoyed that her body mimics the same movements as the gem on the mirror. "You're corrupted but you still function mentally." She made note of that.
"Although i am curious enough... Why inside my mind, so to speak." she asked, feigning interesting on what the gem has to say about that. Obsidian wanted to meet this dream invader Morion had made a huge deal over and she didn't have to do one single thing..
"Ah, where are my manners!" She waved both of her hands over her "Saturn rings", showing the two Diamonds that she works for. "Obsidian, Elite Scientist of Homeworld. Pleasure to meet you Sulfur." Obsidian introduced herself nicely, not wanting to show hostility toward the gem that could help her in the future.
"Coincidence miss, I was pretty desperate to make contact with another gem. Beggars can't be choosers it seems... That last fellow was a downer though... he just met me and wanted to kill me!" he said. "You are with homeworld too huh? I've been hearing quite a lot about these crystal gems...they're a mockery to my practice.."
When Obsidian waved both of her hands over her Sulfur did the same, he didn't seem to care though.
"Oh no the pleasure is all mine..." He said performing a diamond salute, Obsidian in turn doing the same. "So what have you been up to, All we've done is pretty much talk about this place and each other, we should talk about current events. Of course you would know: I don't get to hear much about the outside world."

"Interesting.. Well if you want to know, I too am being hunted down by the very same gem you pissed off." she chuckled, as if she was to take this matter seriously enough. "These Crystal Gems you say? Well i find them annoying as well, I've been nearly interrupted by both Homeworld and Earth gems during my work." she added in, curious to say what she has to say about this.
"Morion, the clever bastard he is, he contacted me asking me to help him capture you." she paused, letting this sink in.
"I refused, i have better things to do at the moment, like not dying or being captured to those crystal gems. Then he brought up some "incidents" i had with another fellow Homeworld Gem, blackmailing me supposedly."
"Luckily enough i am here to tell you what he is going to do. He wants to bring you back to our side once again after we fully healed you." She paused again, wanting to see what reaction she would get from this.
"That's right, there is such a place that can fully heal you to your original state, from what i am told... For a price of you joining us or worse case scenario, you being shattered."
"Although don't take this as me helping you or anything. I do ask you one thing, with whatever power you currently have, do not hurt the Diamonds. They have done nothing wrong and only want to protect our birth place."
"Miss please... how could you be sure that it's the same ge-" Then she said it... Morion. The gem... The one that was most likely going to be a the greatest hindrance of his plans. "Uh...did you say...Morion?" He said, his eyes wide, blistering with fury.
"Well, why would you be dying? What in the name of clod did you do?"
"Join you? Well that would be great a chance to shatter as many of those...crystal clods... as I want! But...I don't trust Morion do you?" He grunted. "He'll shatter me in my weakened state! I thought I was insane... that guy is a maniac..."
"And why do you care about the Diamonds so much? They locked me in a cave for five thousand years, just so you know...I was conscious... five thousand years, alone, in the dark!" He shouted. "I can't do that kind of thing Obsidian... I appreciate the offer but I'm not the kind of gem to so eagerly side with the people I hate... You seem nice though it was nice to have met you."

Obsidian could only smile as he asked that question.
"Let me answer that question with another question."
When Sulfur blinked in mere confusion of that question, Obsidian was gone from his field of view. Obsidian was beside him, arms rested on top of each other. How did she do this? One instant she was merely being puppeteered by the gem on the mirror until suddenly, she broke free from his grasp. Finally being able to move on her own. Obsidian looked solemn towards the gem, her face turned from cheery and kind-heart to serious within the one fracture of a second the gem had blinked his eyes.
"Do you believe in the light?" she asked not only to the normal gem but to the corrupt one as well.
The smile was a pretty good hint, but Sulfur is not one to jump to conclusions. Sulfur didn't seem as shocked as he seemed interested. With an interested smirk he turned to her, free of the mirror's effect.
"You can bend dreams just like he can! It seems I never find anyone insignificant in the dreams..." He smiled.
Her next question however flat out confused him. The light? Oh, maybe she was just as crazy as he was.
"I have no clue what this 'light' is..." he mumbled. "I don't see how this is relevant to me unless you're making a threat, which still, is quite irrelevant. Well in spite of that you have my interest, what is this 'light' you speak of. I`m listening."
Post by The Scientist, Obsidian on Nov 4, 2016 0:07:01 GMT
"Ah, you see that is a question with many possible answers." she started off.
"Light, the one thing we assume to be a normality in our world. Light the energy that lives in the past, present, and future."
"The humans back in their time, during old times, were led into the belief of equality, a man of the light. Humans during those time worshipped a being higher than a king or "Diamond". A god" she paused.
"A god has powers that are a level of their own but do you know that most humans refer to god as sometimes the light?"
"The god however, sent his own essence to a human women and then, conceived a child. This child was like no other, It was the lights child." she paused, letting this all sink in.
"This child quickly became a saint. Do you know what a saint is? A person who is recognized as having an exceptional degree of holiness or likeness to God or in other words the light."
"The child achieved many things, such as healing wounds that were thought to be impossible to heal, he believed that people can change, redeemed in other words and they did. The story goes on and on."
"But the child of the light did die however." Obsidian paced back and forth in her place, now beginning to wonder. "No one really knows what did the child of the light believed in, possibly the hope of the earth to be together at peace, I don't know but i do know one thing." she turns her head back to the gem on the mirror.
"Although this is where things begin to get different. Through death, Humans believed there is a place for good people or beings called heaven. Heaven, a place where it's paradise."
"Imagine that, paradise... Paradise for us would be where all gems are at peace with each other. Don't you want that? No more war, no more corruption, just peace."
"But we don't have to die. We can enter the Paradise where god resides and live in utopia or perhaps even make one within that world."
"The light is imperishable, it's everywhere. It's been with us from the universe creation and until now." she smiled to herself.
"Coincidences that happened to you in the past was no because it was a accident, it was fate who did so, such as how fate brought you to me."
"Light is the same as fate, it cannot be changed."
"Are you slowly beginning to understand what i am trying to say?"
Sulfur's head began to hurt, light was complex! He did pretty much understand what she was saying...but he wanted to pretend he completely understood.
"Do you mean that fate has brought us together in some holy unchangeable way that was meant to be and is both of our destinies?" he asked. "If so, I believe in fate, I believe that some being must have created this world. I am not sure that I agree completely, I don't think much about the world beyond what I see. What importance does it have to you? Why would you think about something non corporeal? You're a bit confusing Obsidian... no offense." He said, leaning on the mirror. "If you have something really important to say just say it, I'm a lonely soul"

"I want to see this futile world know it's actions and I am willing to give most gems a second chance of redemption for the light."
"I want see Utopia, no more fighting, no more sicknesses and unnecessary deaths." she looked at the gem.
"I want to create our Utopia for all gems to live in a perfect world. Free from sin and evils lurking in our lives."
Obsidian had a slight worried look on her face as she saw the gem leaning to it's side. "Be careful, don't go further past to over there, i thought you must've seen it by now.." Obsidian pointed to the far end of the Mirror World, where it's completely black and everything stops at the border of the dark abyssal wall.
Sulfur for once seemed genuinely agitated. He tried to restrain it, he seemed like he was trying to impress her or something.
"That is nothing like the Utopia I see... gems are what is futile, we are like parasites, like a virus if you may. We go to a place, we multiply we take the resources and we do so until we drain the land dry. Countless civilizations have fallen under pitiful mistakes of our leaders. I will change this, at least on earth. I don't care how many gems I have to shatter, I will rid this world of gems. I include myself.." he said clenching his fist. "Of course, this is not going to be completely by violence, I just want our kind to leave... Some blood will be shed I suppose...and that makes me sad. Part of me likes it though... that scares me... am I crazy Obsidian? Am I mad?" He had a look of bewilderment on his face.
"That darkness? this is a dream. It barely effects us. This world ceases to exist as soon as we wake up..." He muttered. "It doesn't effect us."
Post by The Scientist, Obsidian on Nov 4, 2016 0:46:14 GMT
"No the darkness isn't going to affect us, that darkness is nothing but a void, a part of myself that i forcefully removed from my mind completely." she stated before looking back at the gem.
"You are not mad, just lost." she placed a hand on the glass, wanting to show him the truth she has seen with her eyes.
"You still don't get it, we are hardlight but not only that, children of the light as well and seeing us fight like this.. we're killing each other Sulfur. Try to understand me"
"We are lost in our ways but I see the truth and yet no one has the ear to listen to me.. Please i implore you to listen to what i have to say. These humans? They're below us, we're the light's children, we are deities to them. I just want to make everything at peace once again."
"What are you saying!? We aren't better than them! If you really think that you can create a Utopia where everything is at peace then don't humans matter!? Humans are all I care about! Humans and all organic life! I don't even care about myself! Arrogance like that is what makes me hate gems! We're so imperfect! Can't you see how wrong it is? We are monsters!" He yelled. He took a deep breath in and out. "I will never, ever, understand you, but that doesn't mean this conversation doesn't profit us."
He extended his hand.
"If you promise that you will leave earth alone, I promise I will help you achieve whatever this 'light' is that you want. You can't do it alone, you've got Muerte- I mean Morion... blackmailing you." He looked into her eyes. "As you can see, I'm in a tight space too..."
Melody: how are you doing? Are you going to make a character in here?

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show

*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
