Upside down, in a huge block of ice, completely immobilised. Ice wasn't sure how long he'd been floating along in this iceberg, but it felt like an eternity. His eyes were the only things he could move, darting them in every direction trying to find something, anything that wasn't just more water. But it was no use, the bodies of water on this planet were enormous, the largest he'd ever seen. For all he knew, he could've been travelling in circles for the past... however long it was. Day after day, after day, it was the same pathetic routine, it was rare for him to see even a fish, there was only water.
One fateful day, Ice found land, he could see it out of the corner of his eye, as he approached it, getting closer and closer. Once he finally got closer, he hit a current, but the current was not taking him to the marvellous piece of land he was about to hit. Instead, he was shot back in to the vast and empty ocean. Ice was utterly helpless, all he could do was watch as he was taken away from the land he so desperately wanted.
What Ice didn't realise, was how close he was to the shoreline. Bit by bit, he washed closer to the coast, and in less than two days, he saw land for the second time. This time however, he was headed straight for it.
His mouth would've curved into the world's biggest smile, and he would've broken out into a happy dance right then and there, but he was still frozen in a huge block of ice. Inside he was bursting with joy, as the iceberg finally washed up on to the shore, ending his long journey across the water. Ice carried on, excitingly wondering what he'd find here, he could almost see some sort of structures far off into the distance. The first thing that popped into his head was if there were gems here.
After about twenty minutes, Ice started to look around and see his predicament. The ice didn't melt before, it wasn't going to melt now, not with him around. He attempted to let out a groan, but couldn't open his mouth, staying completely still, as the situation started to sink in.
