In every direction, Ice's vision seemed to be limited a little more than usual. He'd seen this before, somewhere, but he forgot what it was called. It was on the tip of his tongue, he just couldn't seem to...Fog! The word came to him all at once, bringing along a huge feeling of achievement.
Ice had just found the area with the large group of floating vessels he had seen earlier, except, when he got closer, he noticed that they were all gone, all that was left were the docks where they used to reside. As much as Ice wanted to know where they could have possibly gone, he knew he had to stay on task.
He was on the search for a warp pad, he wanted to explore, and he knew that would be the fastest way to cover ground. However, so far, he hadn't had much luck. He didn't like the idea of going into the town, and there were no warp pads along the side of the beach he'd seen. He hadn't even seen another gem since the last time he had seen Chip. This fog wasn't helping either, it wasn't super thick, but it was thick enough to restrict his vision somewhat. Maybe he should have asked for directions before haphazardly venturing out on his own to explore.
Throughout the land would covered with a flow of grey gas that seemed to become thick each minute, many beings even gem might not be able to see unless they acquired some tech in which Blue had. She'd be currently by the shore sitting down contemplating on finding a way off this planet, seeing that the communication hub was malfunctioning it would be difficult indeed however she was determined to get of this repulsive rock. Blue's Clear Visor would then start to beam in indication that a gem would be around her vicinity, due to the thick fog and her one eye it would be an ordeal quite to find the gem, Blue would breathe in and breathe out," Relax Blue.." She'd say calmly and towards herself as if someone else was there with her, she'd then start to lift her self up. The Scanners' Schematics showed and soon a visual screen appeared from the visor giving a deeper understanding of the location," Thank you My Diamond.." she'd whisper to herself as this was to work of her diamond, white diamond, who build these long ago for her soldiers and scouts.
Blue would then start to head towards the gem, with every step you would hear the click of her boots or the mush of sand being pressed down in an repetitive manner, Blue was on edge if it were a rebel as she despises them all and would poof one with the quickness of she saw one.
82 marched out to the docks and waited on the edge of one, as if she was waiting for another gem. Her shadow was cast long behind her, giving off the impression that she was larger than she actually was. In reality, she was on the shorter side for being a jasper, but it bothered her none; there were worse things that could happen. Anyhow, she could barely see out of the harbor due to all the fog that had recently settled in. She gave off a loud grunt, but continued to wait, arms tucked neatly behind her back as she waited longer still. Waves lapped at the dock's poles as she heard someone walking nearby. One flash of light later, a shield was in hand and eyes were searching for the source of the footsteps.
There was something Sapphire always loved about fog. It was something he couldn't explain, but it might have something to do with all that liquid in the air. With the slightest wave of his hand he could froze it, make it fall to the ground and for few moments make the area around him visible.
Back on Homeworld this kind of behaviour would be seen as childish, perhaps even unworthy of gem of his status, but right here on Earth he could do whatever his heart desired. And for some unknown reason he felt really well. He turned around his axis and froze the fog in the general area around him just to see the little shards of ice falling to ground...
In the briefest moment before the fog filled the vacant area he saw some other gem and some kind of wooden structure that was build into the sea with several primitive crafts stationed there... how strange...
The fog seemed even thicker now. It was starting to really confuse Ice, he wasn't exactly sure which way he'd come from, or which way he was headed. He stepped carefully, trying not to fall off of the docks, he had considered just giving it a rest and staying put until the fog disappeared, but he wasn't entirely sure how long it would take. If only he had stuck with Chip, this was a bad idea, right from the get go. Chip could've taken him up into the sky and he would've been able to see perfectly. But no, he made the decision to go out on his own. He wasn't made for running around independently, he ended up trapped in an iceberg the last time he did it, what made him think this would be any different.
Ice paced back and fourth on the dock, quietly getting upset with himself. He was broken from his silent self conflict by a noise coming from some unknown location. Ice suddenly froze up, there was a very distinct clicking noise, and it was getting louder. Someone was definitely coming this way.
Ice was filled to the brim with fear, but he stayed hopeful. "Uh, Umm" Ice stuttered, his whole body shaking a little more than usual, "Is somebody there?" He couldn't get much out, but he figured it was enough.
As she'd get even closer towards the gem's location clear scanner picked something up, the nervous levels of this gem increased currently along with its internal thinking processes in indication to that this gem was scared for sure of her, the scanners would form three white diamonds that spiraled and scattered on the screen showing the database of what is the gem she is approaching. The Visual Screen showed an Ice, height of a pearl however seemingly appearing as more delicate she wouldn't hesitate to find more answer on what this gem is doing here. Blue was well over the height of your average Quartz and with such height it may appear to those that she is taller due to her shadow however it would be only a illusion.
Blue darted her eyes forward as the scanners would beep rapidly finding the gem,"..This..is an Ice.. common using skills of ice related abilities these gems could acquire many roles back on homeworld.. generally populated under Yellow Diamond and Blue Diamond courts" the scanner would say with its voiced activated system. Surely the Ice gem would've heard it as Blue would be in front of him, Blue paused her clicking of her boots on the wooden docks and folded her arms while shouting towards Ice," Hey you! what is your name and why are you on this planet!.. you serve homeworld correct!" she says hopefully hearing for him to say yes that he is for homeworld however if not and he is a rebel she'd proceed with combat for sure as she thinks if bringing some rebels in to the moon base to pink diamond she may be able to get her own ship back home.
The air temperature dropped slightly and steadily declined, even to the point where 82 noticed. She promptly turned around and sighed, monotonously breaking the silence. "Your presence is known, show yourself." Her shield glowed softly as she tread towards the alleyway from whence she came, only for the air to get colder. The jasper's gem pulsed with heat as her temper grew ever so slightly "I demand to know who you are, fool! How dare you disrespect me with your petty silence! Do you even know who I am?" Her eyes glared around the fog-covered beach, still showing no sign of any gem. A irritated snarl formed on her lips as she whipped her head around, her shield still giving off its gentle glow.
Sapphire noticed the presence of several gem at once. That was most unusual. He knew very well that there shouldn't be any Crystal gems in this area right now... that made him even more interested. He heard some of them speaking on the wooden structure, but there was another... yelling in the fog. Sapphire had to smirk a little... fool eh?
Just to be sure, he checked if his blue diamond symbol was quite visible, before he emergedd from the fog before the yelling gem.
"Even though your vigilance is comendable, I don't appriciate being called a fool."
He stated. It appeared that he just met some kind of quartz guard? Some strange cut of Jasper perhaps? Those could be really impatient at some times...
When the large figure became visible before Ice, the first thing he noticed was how much smaller they were than they had appeared before. The gem was still quite large, but the fog seemed to have an effect on the gem's shadow, that made it look even bigger from further away. Ice knew right away that he didn't want to upset a gem like this, so he made sure to answer quickly. "I'm Ice, I was washed down here from the northern division some time ago, and yes, I serve homeworld."
Just as Ice had answered, he became aware of a new presence in the area. They were not alone. Ice quickly turned his head to the side, where two or more other gems were definitely hidden somewhere amongst the fog. He couldn't make out their conversation, but he could hear that they were talking. This gem had to have noticed it too. All this time he couldn't find any other gems, and then suddenly a bunch appear all at once, this was a lot for Ice to take in.
Blue would fold her arms while staring down at Ice, seeing that he was still loyal to his diamond she didn't have no intentions of poofing him however she felt her journey on finding one wasn't over yet, she would easily be able to know if a gem is a rebel by doing one simple thing, causing harm to life. She'd then smile upon Ice and would reach toward him, to him he may seemed alarmed by all she would do is rub his head while saying," Don't worry I wont gut ya" she'd say attempting to make a stabbing gesture towards his stomach area. She'd then see that her velar visors beeped again in which the visual screen showed two more gems around of there vicinity," Hm.. I see where are not alone.." She'd say looking towards there direction in which the gems would be. She'd then start to tilt her head and smile," I smell a rebel.." she'd say while lifting her hands. Suddenly the sea under the docks would start to rumble and bubble up, Blue's eyes would then glow lime green while emerging two giant pink coral hands from the ocean, the hands would surely break the docks and lift Blue up into the air holding her.
Blue would then sway the other pink coral hand and flow it all around underneath her to vanish the fog approximately in a 20ft radius to ensure that she is able to see all of the gems in her vicinity. She'd then smile down at the two gems if they noticed her coral hands while is up to nearly 16ft in the air, she'd then stare them both down while saying," I know one of you is a rebel.. your smell.. that.. pathetic .. smell." she'd say while clenching her hands together in sapphire position speaking in a calm tone towards them. Since the docks would be broken any who is one it make fall in the water or simply do something to evade it entirely up to them as that's there own fate she wasn't the type to save someone she barely knows yet.
Turning to the sound of the first gem's voice, a surprised expression glued itself to her face, soon after embarassment had made itself known through her voice. "Oh! My clarity! I didn't realize you were the source of this cold. I am terribly sorry for my insults, and hope that you will show me any mercy. I am Jasper, Cut 82YS, Facet 5BB." She dropped one knee and rested on the other, arms forming the oh-so-common diamond insignia. Waiting for his command, she remained kneeling, her shoulders at around the height of his. 82's gem pulsed no longer when she hear a quiet reply to her first question. However, she did not rise, for she still awaited His Clarity's command. The fog was still present and thick as ever.
Sapphire didn't move a muscle, standing there with completly neutral expression. After a moment of calculated silence he just nodded and answered with the Diamond salute as well.
"You are a quartz, it's your nature to be on guard, you were just doing what you should have. It is to be commended. I could have easily be an enemy, so let's not dwell on the past."
He said. Shouting into the fog and giving away her position wasn't the smartest choice, but quarzes were usually capable of handing everything, so it could have been a way to lure the potential enemy from the cover of the fog...
Before Sapphire could continue some other gem destroyed the wooden structure before them for some reason, yelling some nonsences. With a single thought every single drop of water in 10 meter radios froze solid... and the fog once again falling down in the form of tiny ice crystals... "That's twice in a very short period of time I've been insulted... you should choose your words more carefully for I am Sapphire, her Majesty Blue Diamond's ambassador to Crystal sector. I am her sight on this planet."
He said with cold voice. First he was attacked by that crazy Lazuli some time ago... and now this... the minor detail, that she was correct was completely insignificant.
The large gem slowly reach out to his trembling body, before simply rubbing his head and making a joke. Ice looked up at the gem, already he could tell that she was really strong, that amount of contact with his body would've caused a lot of gems to pull their hand away, however this gem didn't seem to even reach a point of noticing the cold.
They said something about smelling a rebel, and then suddenly started doing something. Was she talking about the ones over to the side. Something came out of the water, destroying the docks and taking the large gem up into the air. Ice scrambled to try not to fall in the water, but it was no use, he went crashing down, causing the water to freeze instantly below him. He was dizzy and weak from falling onto the solid ice, but he managed to see another one of the object from earlier moving around randomly, eventually clearing the fog around them. He was really sore, but he recovered enough to sit up. Across from them were the two he could hear earlier, a sapphire and likely another type of quartz.
Ice got distracted for a moment, looking over at the sapphire who had landed perfectly on their own patch of ice, one that seemed to be created by choice. He was broken from his thought by the blue quartz who seemed to think one of them was a rebel. It seemed a little far fetched at first, but based on the sapphire's response, it wasn't entirely impossible.
All Ice wanted to do was find a warp pad, but it seemed like he had quickly been dug into a corner, maybe if he just stayed put on his big ice chunk, everyone would ignore him until they were done fighting.
82 rose after Sapphire's address to her. She took her place behind him as an assumed escort. Soon after, the fog cleared out and she finally looked around, getting her first look at the fog-free docks. Or rather, what was left of them after they had been recently broken. Still saying nothing, she gazed around and eventually, her eyes-and subsequently, ears- fell upon the large blue Quartz, standing tall upon two massive coral hands. Instinctively, she summoned her shield. Then, the Quartz said one of the most ridiculous thing she had ever heard; "I know one of you is a rebel.. your smell.. that.. pathetic .. smell." The Jasper's face contorted into one of confusion, and then mild anger. "How dare you question any of our loyalties? You barely know us! And how do you know this "Rebel smell" hasn't just come from one of us recently dealing with rebels?"
As much damaged occurred from the docks Blue didn't care one bit, her priority now is to obtain a rebel and show that gem towards the Diamonds for questioning, she had no intentions dealing with other who would stand in her way even if she had to fight a Homeworld gem. She'd still have that lime green glow in her eyes watching over as all the gems to watch of her somewhat rampage. she'd then stare upon the other Quartz soldiers who seemed to not even be aware of how these rebels play in certain situations she'd then pressed against the bridge of her nose while gazing upon them both," Look at the Sapphire.. If she foresee what's coming next I'm sure her little feet will freeze quickly, rebels can disguise themselves if they wanted to ensure of there identity held.. I will take this Sapphire... even if I have to do it by force.." she's says while narrowing her eyes lid and staring down upon them all. She'd then activate a visual screen examining the Quartz Soldier," Hmm.. A jasper I see.. and you aren't able to see even the slightest bit of supervision? pitty.. This Sapphire has no diamond look at it .. what diamond do you know would send a Sapphire in a planet without a few ruby guards or even a Quartz to ensure of there safety if she is even a homeworld gem.. What gem mindlessly goes around without any supervision even as the purpose of your creation is only to give future visions towards out diamonds! you.. you only care to simply be free without structure, your only chance to redeem your actions of staying on this hunk of rock is to come peacefully.. or else.." she'd say with a firm yet loud voice for them to hear.
Blue would then glow her stomach gem, this eerie sky blue light formed her mighty shield on her arm, the green marble in the center with sky blue spirals heading towards it signified her being a Combat/Healer Indeed. She'd then stand bold staring at them all and gaze upon only the quartz know," Think about what your doing.. you see a sapphire on earth.. quick to get on your knees without questioning of her purpose in being here.. If Blue Diamond was here I'm sure she'd agree of such, what do you say... Sapphire.." she'd say still looking at the Quartz. Blue knew to well f this planet and how it works by experimenting and observing beforehand, she'd then start to snap her fingers and suddenly two more pink coral hands lifted through the greats seas however these to had organic life in its grasp, dolphins, turtle, baby whales, they all were present with a few fish in both hands. Blue knew all to well of how this could outcome and took very goods lengths to speed it up," I will squeeze these aquatic organisms to there deaths.. come.. peacefully.." she say closing her fist which would slowly start the to recently summoned coral hands to start squeezing the beings. Blue would then smile evilly as if this sapphire didn't care for these animal Blue would dispose of them in front of her face not letting on drop of blood leave her eyes," You rebels love to protect don't you.. try me.." she's says while awaiting for any who dare to attack her.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun.
