Though she didn't tend to pay much attention to what other gems we really made for, 82 stepped forward to analyze Ice nonetheless. "Hm. Since he isn't physically intimidating, like a quartz, and doesn't seem to be a teamfighter like a ruby, I'd guess he was made for one of three things; a labor postion, a leadership position, or he is an elite. Though, I would have to go with the first choice based on his demeanor." As she drew closer to inspect Ice, she hadn't noticed-or even expected for the matter-just how cold Ice's body would be. After a few seconds of touching his form, she was forced to draw her hands back, due to the sheer coldness of his body. This came to her as quite the surprise, due to her powers being mainly heat (and bee) oriented, and the look of shock on her face could be considered humorous to some gems.
Ice smiled nervously, pretty sure that this was going well but not entirely positive. "Yeah, that's right," Ice confirmed for the sapphire, hoping that it would help them see him as even less of a threat. "I work mostly with terraforming gems to turn land that has less than ideal conditions into usable land."
Ice gripped his left arm with his right hand, and blushed as the jasper came up close to inspect him. When the gem touched his form, he tensed up. He figured that he should give somewhat of a warning for what was going to come next, but decided to just let this gem do her thing. After only a short time, the jasper drew back, as most gems did, her face quickly turning to one of comical shock. He often wondered what it was like, to feel temperature, he had spent his entire existence in a perpetual state of freezing cold, to the point where he had no idea what heat felt like. He had touched multiple objects that were said to have high temperatures, but even the highest temperatures felt no different than everything else, cold, and void of any warmth.
Ice felt guilty for not giving a warning, quickly bowing his head "s, sorry, I should've..." Ice brought his head back up, still blushing, and let out a sigh, realising how much of a fool he was being. "So... are we good then?"
Ice remembered his prime directive, finding a warp pad. He eyed the sapphire and the jasper, maybe they could direct him to one if he asked.
Sapphire nodded as sigh that he understands. "Terra-forming... what an interesting word... how did the Latin word for Earth got into it... "
He asked, but he was probably just thinking out loud. He seemed like he was thinking for a second, but that quickly passed. He saw, like Jasper touched Ice and then quickly let go off him. That was most interesting...
"If I understand you correctly then yes, we are good. Then again, if you ever see an ambassador of your Diamond getting attacked by insane gem, it might be prudent to act. Even when you are not a warrior... after all I am not warrior either... "
He just pointed out. After all most gems would take that as a betrayal...
The room grew tense, the air pressure seeming to drop in the process. And by room, I mean the now icy shoreline of Beach City. "You're fine." quietly escaped her lips as she looked back at Sapphire, breaking the hazy shore's silence. "Say, assuming that no one minds me asking, why did you come to the shore, Ice? Obviously, It wasn't to fight, otherwise you may have assisted the crazy quartz, so why did you come here?" inquired 82. She drew closer to him, hands clasped behind her back in the neat orderly fashion she was taught so very long ago. Keeping her back straight, she continued to affix her gaze on the shorter gem, possibly is some odd hope of intimidation.
Ice now felt guilty about not helping the sapphire, he was confused and all, but he was sceptical as to why a sapphire would ever choose to rebel, and he should've listened to that logic.
Before he could ask them to point out the direction to to a warp pad, the Jasper beat him to the punch and asked him what he was doing on the docks. "I was looking for a warp pad, I'm trying to find the city of empires, and I think a warp pad is probably a good start." Ice wasn't even positive that this city of empires would even have a spot he could warp to, and to make matters worse, he didn't even know the general direction of the place. Maybe these gems had a better idea of which way he should be going. "You wouldn't happen to know which way that is, the city of empires I mean... would you?" This might have been a good thing after all, if he could get some information, he could be back on his way but with a much better indication of where exactly it was that he was going.
This was strange. The Ice was looking for "city of empires". Sapphire never heard about such place... then again most of his time on Earth was spent among rebels... and then around Beach city.
"I know of a warp pad nearby. Actually there are several around this city. If you continue along this path, you should find one hidden in a cave. But I have no idea where is the city you're searching for. If you desire this information there is a simple way to obtain it - ask the humans. Even when they are primitive, they have substantial knowledge of their society... "
He advised. Then he turned to his guardian once more.
"I hesitate to ask you this, but do you think you may try and catch the crazy gem that attacked us? She is dangerous... she might accuse another gems... poof or even shatter defeneseless loyal subjects of our Empire... "
Quickly, she looked back to the Sapphire and gave a somewhat weak nod, enough to where she assumed it'd be believable, though in reality, 82 never intended to follow through with this. After all, she had a reputation to maintain. Plus, who in their right mind would go after that maniac? Or really, who'd actively pursue a quartz as powerful as her? Or at least initially accept. Usually, 82 wouldn't do a largely monumental task unless one of her squadron members had attempted the feat previously, a small abnormality that'd prevented a promotion on more than one occasion. So, it was no-brainer to accept this, then think about going through with it later.
Albeit, she could probably also just find some other gems to 'help' her with the job, but where to find them?
"I suppose I'll have to be going now. Best I try to find her before she strays too far." was the follow-up answer, carried out in a tone edged with fake adrenaline, hopefully enough to convince the gem before her.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
