"But if I do, you must promise me that you will never utter a word to any other gem, understand?" Fulgurite nodded as Para spoke. "I have come to find that nothing in this universe is black and white. But more like a spectrum of color that we simply agree represent certain universal constants. We simply have choose where to be on that spectrum. Though if it helps, I choose to be part of the spectrum that protects earth because I know far to well that Homeworlds part is identifiably malicious from many, many points of view on the spectrum." Once he finished speaking he place his hand over his gem and gave Para a slight bow. "As for what you have to show me, I shall do my best to maintain and air of dis-allusion about whatever you would like to show me."

Para took a moment to read Fulgurite's face, making sure he was sincere, before continuing. Without a word she stood up and went across the room to a metal box stowed away, dragging it over and onto the anvil. Out of her gem storage she pulled out a small key, inserting it into the keyhole and opening up the box to reveal various papers inside. She dug through them and set a few of them aside, putting the box back down once she had finished selecting the specific few. While she sorted through them she finally spoke, "During my time with Homeworld I was not around much of their experiments due to my position, though I was very familiar with certain practices through a little bit of overlap in my skills. You see, it was not all that uncommon for a high-ranking gem to want a decoration that involved the gem core of a fallen gem. Usually these came from ones that had failed various tasks, or defective cores that maintained their intended look." Finally she had the papers all lined up in an order of sorts, "As well I did some research while working on my own. As I'm sure I don't have to tell you, it is rather common for cores and shards to be used for military purposes as well, ala using shards to create basic soldiers for example. Well..." at this point she grew quiet, and it almost seemed as if she wasn't going to continue. Eventually she cleared her throat and gestured towards the paper, "Perhaps it is best you see for yourself."
The papers set aside were indeed blueprints, all draw out seemingly by Para, detailing various ideas for weapons and armor. It all looked fairly standard, save for one major difference. Every plan had indications that it either used shards or even full gem cores in their design, "While it is but a theory, I believe I could use corrupted gem cores to greatly enhance our weaponry and defenses. What you're looking at there is something I don't think even Homeworld has come up with, at least not on this level. It could turn the tide of the war. This could be our saving grace."
"This could be our saving grace." Fulgurite stepped over and looked over all of the blueprints thoroughly. His face showing a mix of intrigue and horror as he studied the pages. But after a while he simply closed his eyes and took a few steps back. He started to rub the gem mounted in the back of his augment hand and shook his head. "No..." He said softly without looking at Para. "This... this is horrible." Fulgurite stepped back forward and stared down at the blue prints. "I know of the macabre tendencies of the affluent among our society, and I certainly do not agree with it. But this..." He gripped the edge of the anvil and continued to stare down the blueprints. "This is not the answer. This is border line torture. Shattered gems should be put to rest and those that are not shouldn't be subject to being treated as materials for weapons of war. No gem should be used like this."Fulgurites brow furrowed deeply as he attempted to subdue his growing rage.
He gather the blueprints back up and set them back in the box they came out of then picked it up and held it out to Para with his right hand. "I appreciate all that you have done for me, but this puts a rather serious strain on the future of our relationship. But at this point you have very limited choices in what I will allow to transgress." Fulgurite locked eyes with Para as his weapon formed around his left arm. The sounded of muted thunder filled the room as the weapon materialized in place on his arm, the bladed shield covering up to his forearm, his augmented hand firmly gripping it's handle as he spoke again. "Destroy these, and forget you ever had them, wipe their memory from your mind. Regardless of how potent any of this research and work could be, stooping down to Homeworlds treatment of gems is not something I will allowed if you are going to claim you're wanting to go against them."

The look of pride on Para's face slowly turned neutral, then to a grimace, "I was afraid you would react like this..." She slowly took the box, a rather forlorn look on her face. She held the box to her chest in something almost like a hug as Fulgurite quickly became enraged. She fell backwards into her chair, staring blankly as she thought in a daze at what was being asked of her. She didn't look him in the eyes when she spoke, "You would ask of me to destroy my greatest work, something that I have spent endless days working on and refining. This would not only save us, it would change how we think about combat from here on out. Gems who can't defend themselves could fight back, they could make a difference!" She looked up at Fulgurite, tears were just barely being contained, "I... could make a difference..." She lowered her head again, silently embracing the box for a few more moments. She shook her head, noting his weapon, "Are you truly willing to take up arms against me over this? Despite me being an ally and being the one who saved you."
Para stood up, looked him in the face a long moment, then turned towards the flowing magma-fall in the back of the room. Reluctantly she walked up to it with the box in her arms, staring forward with a sort of empty expression. Without even taking another glance she threw the box into the magma, it quickly disappearing from sight although a sudden 'whoosh' could be heard as it caught on fire. She stood there for a long while, staring blankly at the magma in a sort of daze. While her face couldn't be seen as she had her back to Fulgurite, it seemed she wiped something off her cheek and swiftly turned around. When she locked eyes with him there was an apparent look of disgust, "Unlike yourself I am not willing to throw away what could have been a friendship so easily." She pushed past him and continued on towards the exit, "Now come on, we're going to fix your core before you do split apart at the seams."
"Now come on, we're going to fix your core before you do split apart at the seams." Fulgurite watches a the box was plunged into the magma as his weapon disappeared. He flexed his hand a few times and then turned to follow Para, keeping his distance. "You can't have honestly expected me to reacted any other way after hearing what I've been through. I'm a walking proof of concept for your designs, but I still have my will, and trust me, if Homeworld had their way, I wouldn't even have that. We cannot win this fight by follow the same thinking as our enemy." Fulgurite went silent for a while, the tension in the air was stifling as they moved towards the warp pad.
"I know my actions just now were not exactly the most gracious considering you saved my life, but I couldn't allow something like those blueprints to have even a chance of getting in the wrong hands." Fulgurite shook his head slightly. "Though I doubt you will want much to do with me after this I would still be willing to work with you. It's too long since I've met another gem with the same level of scientific mind as my own and I believe we may be able to design something that can turn the war that wouldn't need to draw power from fallen gems."

Para was silent the entire way up to the warp pad, not even looking over towards him as she clung her arms to her chest. Upon reaching the warp pad she stopped, still staying silent for another long moment. When she did eventually look at Fulgurite there was an eerie empty look about her, "I did not expect you to react well, not after all you have been through. But I had hoped you would be able to help me make a difference without going too far. You said it yourself, there is a thin line between good and evil. I had hoped we could near that line as close as was needed, without stooping to their level. It could have been different..." A bit of anger could be seen just under the surface, "I do not ask for you to be in my debt, it was merely the right thing to do. I simply wished you could be more objective about the situation, I believe you let your emotions get the better of you. But what is done is done, while my memory is impeccable those plans held irreplaceable data. I will admit that I wish to never see you again, but that is not an option I am afraid. Now with those blueprints destroyed we must find another way to even the playing field, and I regrettably need your help with that." She gave him a stern glare, "Make no mistake, I do not believe we may ever be friends after what has occurred today. I hope that I am wrong, but I am no longer confident of our survival. But if we do win this, then I will thank you for being a stronger willed gem than I ever could be." With all that said she warped them off towards the fountain, maintaining a cold disposition the entire way there.
"But if we do win this, then I will thank you for being a stronger willed gem than I ever could be." Fulgurite nodded as Para spoke and kept his hands behind him. "I understand that my reaction was far more than what was needed for the situation but those plans struck a rather tender nerve. But I hope with time we shall be able to work past this unfortunate skirmish. I know it more than likely means nothing at this point, but I am very sorry." Fulgurite stepped onto the warp pad, keeping his distance from Para as he readied himself to be warped to the supposed place that would be able to restore his gem to fully intact. "Once I am back to my fully restored state I shall give you whatever distance you need for the time being as I get in contact with some old acquaintances and prepare for what comes next."

This Site will likely have unmarked Spoilers for the entirety of the Steven Universe Franchise, it is recommended that you go watch the show if you have not already before looking around the site.
Note: This Roleplay is an AU to Steven Universe, with its own Story to tell that will deviate from the show. While the show focused on Rose’s Son Steven, The RP instead presents an AU, where Rose started the rebellion conflict in modern day instead of 6000 years ago, and the story focuses on the conflict between the Homeworld loyalists, and Crystal Gem Rebels.
For a more detailed timeline please look at
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
•Within the Show, Rose Quartz Rebelled against Homeworld 6000 years ago. On the Site she waited and only started the rebellion in 2013
•In the Show, Pink Diamond was Shorter then the other Diamonds, and only had a short time commanding her Colony before the rebellion started. On the Site, as Rose Hesitated, Pink has had several thousands of years experience in managing her colony, and additionally is of a height and stature the same as Blue and Yellow Diamond.
•In the Show, the Colony was very early in production before the rebellion happened, thus explaining the lack of frequent Gem structures on Earth. In the Roleplay, the Earth has the same amount of Gem structures as the show, buts its because construction on Pink's colony was very slow due to Earth being on the furthest Edge of the Gem empire
•In the Show, the Crystal Temple was implied to have been built after the Rebellion, On the Site, its implied to have been retrofitted from a Homeworld Temple structure.
