When the hologram formed, it looked very similar to...the gem beside him... It was about time Ice knew the name of the smaller gem that he'd just met. And from his experience, the best way to get someone to introduce them self, was to introduce yourself. Ice turned to the gem, and away from the hologram, getting embarrassed for absolutely no reason. "By the way..." Ice was looking at the ground again, but he managed to bring his eyes up to face the gem properly. "I'm Ice." It was difficult for him to talk to gems like that, he was so used to saying his name only when he was told to by another gem. "And, thank you for this... I appreciate it a lot."
With that, Ice turned to face the hologram again, ready to listen to instructions on what to do. He was worried that he might mess up, and it was probably more than a likely fate for him, but he was still prepared to try to get it right, whatever 'It' was.

Gaspeite went over the course rather quickly, slowed down at the end by some big obstacles that a swift gem could have easily passed, although it was rather ok for Gaspeite. She walked off from the end of the obstacle course, making her weapon disappear. She stood a fair distance from them, watching the gems doing their things from afar or else she feels like it would make the gem uncomfortable. Finally they knew it's name. Ice? That was a pretty exotic gem, Gaspeite didn't know anything about it. Well, she knew Earth ice was made from water brought below 0°C. Anyhow, Gaspeite looked around, interested in doing another course later, or some dummy fighting practice. The setup was pretty nice, why not profit from it?
Bloodstone smiled and nodded at Ice "I'm Bloodstone, it's a pleasure to meet you Ice" He hummed and pressed a few more buttons as the hologram pulled out a few chains, not wanting to attack yet as Octi looked back at Ice
"Okay, so the way that this is going to work is that the hologram is going to let you know what attack it will be using by what part of it's body glows. The lights going to edit itself to appear brighter than the rest of the hologram. When that part lights up, be ready to either dodge, or block, that specific area, got it?"
He said that as the top 2 chains glowed before heading towards Ice
Ice listened closely to Bloodstone's instructions, inspecting the hologram as it was explained to him. He looked up at its face, just a little unsettled by how much it resembled Bloodstone, but did what he could to ignore that particular fact. Just as Bloodstone was talking, the hologram had summoned two chains, and they started to glow. From what Bloodstone had said, this meant that the hologram was going to attack him in those two areas. Ice was as ready as he could have been, but even so, he started to panic as the light glowed. He couldn't think, and quickly made the decision to drop to the ground in order to avoid the attacking altogether. He basically dropped himself face first onto the floor, and the hologram missed him.
It worked, and fairly well, but in an actual combat situation, it probably wouldn't have been smart to dive to the ground at the feet of his opponent. He wasn't sure if what he did was right, or wrong, and frankly, he didn't even know if the hologram was still going or not. He just kind of stayed to the ground, hoping that it would keep working. "Was that good?..."
Bloodstone sighed as he watched Ice dive to the ground
"If you want me to be perfectly honest...it could have been better. I feel like maybe the holograms aren't what you need...you my friend, might need some more personal training."
Octi moved away from the console as the hologram shut off before he walked up to Ice and crouched down more towards his eye level
"I feel like you may need to try to develop your powers..or at least we need to get you to where you can use them without any major issues. If nothing else, um...we just need to work on getting you to be less afraid in battle, that okay?"
He turned his head up towards Bloodstone while still lying on the ground, it wasn't a surprise to hear that he hadn't done too amazing, after all, nearly anyone could drop onto the floor. Ice perked up a bit when Bloodstone suggested that changing the type of training could work. It was nice to see that this gem wasn't going to give up on him easily, and now he was more determined than ever to improve. Which couldn't be that hard, he was basically at ground zero to begin with.
However, when Bloodstone mentioned developing his powers, a part of that hope died a little. His powers weren't exactly impressive. As far as he was concerned, they were usually hindrances rather than powers, they'd backfired on him countless times, and came in handy about six times. Even his weapon, was pretty much useless everywhere except an ice rink. But even so, being less afraid sounded good, all the training in the world would be worthless if he froze up every time a fight started.
Either way, he was ready to try again, if this gem was willing to, then so was he. "Okay, let's try that then!"

Gaspeite came closer to the group. It seemed they hadn't even started to train yet, this was really going slowly. She didn't feel right here, in the house, because so few was happening. Anyway, she stayed and observed the training, hoping to see some swords training. Gaspeite would instead be there to see power training... Which does sound better for a gem like Ice. The little ice cube needed to defend himself, even though now Gaspeite was rather thinking this could be a waste of time, after all it is hard to defend youself with no weapons, or at least she thought so.
She observed a bit the area, trying to find something else to do after overlooking the thing for a while.
Bloodstone sighed and tried to think of a good way to do this. Ice wouldn't exactly be the easiest gem to train...but it might not help if he has a weapon that's only in the gym...
"Hm...I suppose it may not hurt to go over basic tactics first. Y'know, blocking, dodges, stuff like that. I feel like asking um...what exactly do you use in a fight normally? Any specific weapons or abilities that give you a bit of a boost? If you could tell me, then I think I'd be able to figure out what strategy to do to train you in the best way possible."
That was at least the best Octi could come up with at the moment..
Ice looked at Bloodstone, just a little unsure, but still ready to try. He nodded when Blodstone mentioned starting with the basics. "That's probably a good idea." He then spent a moment standing there thinking when Bloodstone asked about weapons and abilities. "Well, umm, I can freeze water! but only if I touch it..." He looked at the ground thinking some more. "Oh, I can actually make a gem weapon!" He was quite proud of this fact, and quickly created a pair of skates that went right over his shoes. "Tadaa!" The skates weren't actually very practical where he was standing now. In fact, they did little more than hinder his balance a little and slow him down. He knew how little use he could get out of them, but he was still happy with being able to create anything at all.
"That's pretty much everything I can do..." Ice was an engineer, he simply wasn't made for fighting.

Gaspeite was intereested at the sound of "weapon" or, "gem weapon" because she would see what the gem was banking. But it ended up making Gaspeite scream internally while she looked at the skates with an angry confused expression and her mouth open. This couldn't be it, obviously there was something behind it. Was it?... Apparently not, that gem must be used for constructions, that's it. Anyhow, she was interested to see where this would be going, and how did Octavian train little Ice.
"Well, I'm interested to see what those skates of yours can do. Never seen such a weapon before.
She stood there, not really thinking about training herlself anymore as she was more interested on Ice's things than her own. She also thought it was going ratehr slow but, Gaspeite can handle patience.
"Skates...?" Octi wasn't sure how to react, after all of the weapons that he had seen before, this was...well, interesting to say the least. But perhaps they could work with it
"Alright...well, in this case, it might be best to focus on combat using your feet. I mean I know that these would make it better to attack other gems...how well can you move around when you're not on an ice rink?"
Bloodstone was trying their best to figure out just how to train Ice...ice skates would be a difficult thing to use
"Hm...try doing a few kicks at me, I can block fairly easily so don't stress too much about maybe hurting me or something like that"
Ice looked down at his skates, while the others commented on them, and then looked back at Bloodstone as he began to come up with a plan. "How well can I move around when I'm not on an ice rink? Umm...," Ice started walking around, it was clear that he wasn't as well balanced as he was without the skates on, and he was also much slower. "Not well..."
When Bloodstone suggested doing a few kicks at him, Ice quickly got nervous again, he didn't like to attack other gems, but then there was also the fusion who was watching him now, and he didn't want to disappoint everyone. "okay, here goes nothing."
Ice shut his eyes completely and kicked forward with his skate. It didn't go very high, and did little more than make Ice lose his balance and take a second to regain it, opening his eyes very suddenly. When he had his balance back, he decided to try something different. His skates dissipated, and it almost looked like he was quitting for a moment, but instead, he went for another kick. This time, he summoned the skate right as he was kicking, and the kick actually had a sort of roundhouse kick form to it that wasn't half bad. Ice fell over immediately after, tumbling right back on to the floor. But he did note in his head that summoning the skate after seemed to help a bit.

Gaspeite knew her presence would change the outcome, but certainly only to make Ice want to do better! The first attempt to kick was very poor, and even Gaspeite knew it could have been a thousand times better if he didn't do it knowing he already had a bad balance... But the second time, he used them in a very interesting way, using them only in a whim, not keeping it summoned. At least it was something, and for a gem as such it looked better than nothing.
"That's a good way to take the potential of your weapon, good job there. Now, those are skates made out of ice and look pretty interesting, do they have another use too?, Gaspeite said, obviously curious to know since most gems like these had very interesting gimmicks. She created her screen in a way which didn't look too obvious, writing down from the corner of her eye.
Bloodstone watched curiously, easily blocking the kicks and not feeling much of an impact when Ice swung his legs. He did smile though when he saw the strategy that the young gem seemed to have developed, summoning the skates in the middle of the kick to maximize the impact
"Hey..that's not a bad idea! Is there anyway we could maybe...I dunno, refine that? Or at least make it to where you can summon the blades at the right moments in combat?"
Octi nodded at Gaspeite, agreeing with what the fusion was saying
"She's right. If they have another use then we could easily figure out another way to train you. It's a slow but good process, that's how I view training."
Ice smiled when he was told that the second kick wasn't that bad. It was actual progress and it made him feel a little less hopeless, after all, even if it wasn't that great, it was still amazing by his standards.
He wasn't sure how he'd go about refining the technique, but figured it would just require him to repeat the kick over and over until he got more consistent. As for other uses for the skates, that one stumped him a little. "Ummm..." He wasn't sure if his skates really had any uses other than skating and now kicking, but he decided to tell them of his other ability, and how it could work well with his skates. It was technically another use. "I don't know if this is exactly what you mean, but I can skate on water. See I'm really really cold, and so when I touch water it freezes instantly, and so the water freezes as fast as my skate lands on it and voila, skating on water. Although I don't know what uses that could have besides getting around faster when there's water."

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.

Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
