Moonstone walked into the Forge where he decided that he wanted to improve his claymore... somehow... He has no idea since his blade has serrations on it. Maybe make is bigger? Broader? Longer? He went through the possible ways to improve his blade. He could also improve his armor. He took some titanium and some silver and melted them down. He then grabbed a hammer and took his helm off and put it on an anvil. He started to pound the titanium in the shape he wanted it, which was a hemisphere with little 'fins' on each side. He then welded it with the pre-existing part so it would become reinforced. Then he plated the helm in silver. Then he put the helm into some water to cool. After that, he dried his helm, when someone walked in.

As one could imagine, keeping the Forge in working condition took a lot of maintenance. The years of neglect were not easy on this facility, and now that it was being used almost around the clock it had to be maintained fairly often. Such a task was easy but time consuming, as such Para found herself often away from her main work so she could do the necessary work to keep this place from crashing in on itself or flooding with lava. Towards the end of finishing one such task Para could swear she could hear a banging from the main room. She stopped to listen, confirming her suspicions. Annoyed someone was touching her stuff without bothering to even search for her Para stormed off towards the main room.
A short walk later she barged into the room, eyes scanning the room, "Who is touching my hammer?!" Her eyes locked onto the gem responsible, who seemed more than happy to use her tools unsupervised. Honestly it wasn't a huge deal, gems often came her to do smithing of their own, but never did she allow others to use her own set. It was perhaps not the best idea for her to leave them out, but the fact she might be to blame didn't exactly cross her mind immediately.

Surprised, Moonstone turned around with his helm wrapped under his right arm. "Oh, Para, we meet again. Sorry about everything on the pier. Yellow Peridot made me seem like a criminal, although I am a Crystal Gem. Well, to Homeworld, Crystal Gems are criminals. And this hammer is yours? Sorry about that, heh. Not to sound rude or anything, but if it's yours and you don't want anyone touching it, you should not have left it here. Anyways, how are you doing?" He showed her the reforged silver plated titanium helm. "I decided to become the Silver Knight, a hero to Earth. I am looking to improve my sword. Sure, it is pretty good as of now. Serrated edges, sharp, and can fire arcs of energy, but I dunno whether it should be longer, broader, or both?" He asked as he 'unsheathed' his claymore for Para to inspect.

Her initial irritated attitude quickly gave way as Para controlled herself, drawing herself up tall she collected herself before speaking, "Ah, yes of course. I apologize for my brashness, I have been stretched thin and my nerves are nearing their end. You are... correct. I will make a note to hide my tools better in future." She was not one to admit being at fault easily, that much was obvious, but she did make an effort to at least be diplomatic.
Para closed the distance between her and Moonstone, examining his work. She made no effort to hide her very judging look, although there was no malevolence meant by it, she simply defaulted to analyzing things skeptically. There was a slight wince as she realized what metals were used in the helmet's creation, while titanium was an excellent metal found on this planet it was by no means common. "Right... 'Silver Knight'? An interesting idea, useful in theory I suppose. Humans do have a common interest in 'super hero' figures. Yes... I suppose it is only logical." She was thinking out loud more than anything, idly tapping her fingers across the side of her face. The sword did catch her eye however, "Ooh yes, let me have a look at that~"

He looked as she examined the helm that was forged of titanium and silver. To Moonstone, he does not know whether or not she was complimenting him or being snarky and sarcastic. He knew that Para expertised in pretty much everthing. There was no doubt about it. After she was done analysing and inspecting the helm, he once again put it on. The helm was still a little warm though, but not smoltering hot. Even though he'd prefer it to be a little cooler. "Well, I would like to see you demonstrate your prowess in smithing. I bet this sword is pretty interesting to you. Although, not sure what additions should be made without putting on any disadvantages on it. Or perhaps, it may be perfect the way it is. I will elet you be the judge of that. Well, nobody can really stop you from judging anything."

She went to take the blade in both hands, her eyes running across the various aspects of it. A long minute later her eyes all returned to pointing in the same direction as she addressed Moon in a quick yet clear explanation, "Interesting design, the weapon it more crass than most bladed weapons. The large serrations will indeed cause a more damaging wound, although it will catch onto your target if you do not carry the strength to rip it out of course. I will say, the last thing you should do is extend the blade. You see, the advantage of having a long blade is both the length and weight. The extra reach would suit very well, but the weight may cause issues if you are not careful. More weight means the blade digs deeper down when you bring it onto your target, which would not be an issue if it was a standard blade as it could simply 'slide' out of the created wound. However, with serrations the blade will catch on the target and cause tearing. As I'm sure you're aware, this will cause more damage but will also make the removal of the blade more difficult..." She paused and examined the blade again, allowing Moon to take all that in. Para found the actual utility of weapons incredibly fascinating, something that initially surprised her as she was initially more of an artist than a blacksmith. Eventually she continued, "If you wish to keep the serrations I would suggest actually making the blade shorter, albeit with a slightly broader blade. This should make it more wieldly, something that the serrations may detract from. As well I think the actual serration blades could be improved in design, a theoretical design I have actually had in mind. Aside from that, there is little else that one can do to make a blade more effective. To be honest, the weapon is usable in its current state. But perfection is something we could attain..." There was another brief pause before something popped into her mind, "Oh! Of course, if you wish I can also redesign it if you would so wish. Such is my specialty~"

He listened closely as Para rambled on about the numerous ways his trusty sword can be improved. He wished to keep the serrations, since a spindashing Quartz could run into the blade if he were to stick it in the ground, which will cause it to act like a saw of some sorts. "I would like to keep the serrations, as it could potentially shred spindashing Quartzes if I use it properly. I would love for you to make this blade perfect. Even though I want to name it, but wouldn't that be taking credit for your masterpiece? Humans have actually named swords, so if I could name it, it would be either 'Silver Fury' or 'Lunar Edge'." He suggested as he waited for Para's opinion.

After her long ramble on sword design Para went silent to listen intently to Moon, after all it was his sword and it was of the utmost importance to make sure he was satisfied with the results. She nodded a few times, "Very smart, your weapon would be rather effective for that indeed. But allow me to perfect it!" She took the blade in both hands and set it down onto the anvil, looking it over once again before setting to work. Her hands whipped around the sword, hardlight coming forth from her two cores and onto the sword. The entire weapon began to glow, reshaping before their very eyes. While working she managed to keep the conversation going as well, "I would suggest 'Lunar's Edge' if those are the two you have in mind, seeing as your persona is already named the 'Silver Knight'. Do not wish to use the same theme twice, the naming could become redundant."

He smiled at her compliment, as he was an engineer, so he knew he could use physics to aid him in combat. He then saw the weapon transform before his eyes. He kept looking at the sword as it shifted appearance like magic. No, it WAS magic. He thought that he could consider Para as a friend. Her wit is easily comparable to his, so they could potentially be great friends. The oy thing is that she doesn't seem to have the personality to be like an 'average friend' type of friend. He wasn't going to let that stop him from asking if they could be friends. He then heard her suggest that 'Lunar's Edge' should be it's name. "Okay, I understand. 'Lunar's Edge' it is!" He said agreeingly. "Also Para, can we... be friends...?" He asked a little hesitantly.

Work was going smoothly, not that one could tell as the glowing of the blade obscured any chance of making out specific details. It looked very similar to how a gem reforms, becoming a sort of featureless mass of hardlight twisting and turning at Para's whim. However she was thrown off by his last question, nearly dropping the sword onto the anvil as she seemed to lose focus with a flinch. Quickly she caught herself, returning to focusing on the task at hand, "Oh, I uhm... Y-Yes, of course Moon, I am a friend and an ally to all gems friendly to the cause." It was clear she was nervous, although it wasn't apparent exactly why. Shortly after the job was thankfully finished, the blade ceased glowing and floated down into Para's hands. The blade was very much the same, although the blade had been refined to a much cleaner point and was slightly shorter than before. As well the blade was a tad thicker, giving a better weight to the weapon, which had to be compensated with a slightly bigger pommel. The other notable change was the guard, which seemed to be made a tad longer. "The overall efficiency of this weapon should be at its peak, as well the balance absolutely perfect. The guard was stretched out to make catching a blade easier so that you may deflect or disarm. I hope it is to your liking~"
The smithery was at the end of a long, dark, ash coated path. Or as Titanite preferred to think of it a "Sooty downward spiral into a pit of uncleanliness". He sighed, his body caked in volcanic ash and dust, as he stared down the long path down the side of the volcano.
It took a few seconds before he set his face in a resolute grimace and started the laborous task of sweeping and mopping his way down the incline. About 30 minutes later, he made it down the pit, leaving a wake of super clean, super undirty stretch into the Smithery.
From there, the dirt led the way, with a hyper focused awareness only of the grime he was eradicating, he followed it deeper and deeper until he was inside the Smithery itself. He was generally considered "invisible" on Homeworld, and he similarly didn't really bother noticing the people in the places that he cleaned unless they spoke to him directly. So, when he heard voices, and felt the heat of the Smithery wash over him, he just casually ignored it.
Instead, he did what he did best, which was clean with a mono focus so intense it was hard to really distract him from it. He was sweeping now, collecting dust, metal fragments, mineral dust, and whatever else happened to be laying on the floor, and moving it around to collect in strategic piles around the room to be scooped up and disposed of into the volcano, before mopping.
At least that was his master plan, as far as he had formulated it, so unless he was otherwise disturbed, he'd be sweeping up until no more unnecessary grime could be seen on the Smithery floor.
"Excuse me, you're standing on a dirty spot I should be cleaning..." - Titanite

He didn't mean to throw her off by his question. He didn't think she wpuld react that way. This is the first time he saw her nervous, as she seems to always boast some great prowess over pretty much everything. "H-Heh... good to hear." He grinned and watched as Para was finishing up the claymore which is now known as the Lunar's Edge. When the light show was over, he saw that the sword's appearance changed. He marveled at the sight as Para gave her spiel, which he did pay attention to. "Wow... This, this is absolutely amazing... Thank you, Para. This will surely be put to optimal use! And yes, it is to my liking! "He couldn't help but give her a warm smile.

"Anytime my dear, I live for my craft. I do ho...?" Her attention drifted from Moon and towards the entrance of the Forge, her eyes falling on the gem intent on cleaning the suit covered floors. She was actually dumbfounded, not really sure what to question first, "Uhm... hello? Who are you and why are you cleaning my floors unannounced?" Honestly she wasn't even mad, gems came and went as they wished, but this was by far the oddest thing that had happened to her. After all, who just walks into a room and starts cleaning without saying anything! Not that she minded, the Forge needed a good cleaning and she wasn't exactly about do it. Maybe this could become a regular thing...
Once he was pretty satisfied with his little piles, he started to push them outside with his broom to pile up against the wall. There was a lull in the conversation, which was normal, he figured, and he was hyper focused on all the dirt anyway and was used to being invisible (or rather, totally ignored by other Gems on Homeworld) so he just kept sweeping since no one called out for a Titanite so they must not be talking to him.
He made several trips to push the piles outside and against a wall, if no one tried to stop him, his head down as he concentrated on not leaving any residue behind, making sure to sweep and resweep every kernel or smote of dust until he was leaving a relatively clean floor behind, ready to mop.

He turned around only to see the floors of the Smithery to be..., spotless? This was strange since the floors are always covered in soot and ashes. He immediately focused on the green gem who was responsible. He approached them as he initially ignored Para. "Why, hello there." He looked around as he marvelled at the sight of cleanliness. This looks all to good to be true. Maybe the green one could keep regular maintainence of the forge. "Hey Para, I have an idea. He seems to really enjoy cleaning, so maybe he will keep this forge in tip top shape in terms of cleanliness." He poked him to get his attention. "Also, who are you? You are doing a great job."

This Site will likely have unmarked Spoilers for the entirety of the Steven Universe Franchise, it is recommended that you go watch the show if you have not already before looking around the site.
Note: This Roleplay is an AU to Steven Universe, with its own Story to tell that will deviate from the show. While the show focused on Rose’s Son Steven, The RP instead presents an AU, where Rose started the rebellion conflict in modern day instead of 6000 years ago, and the story focuses on the conflict between the Homeworld loyalists, and Crystal Gem Rebels.
For a more detailed timeline please look at
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
•Within the Show, Rose Quartz Rebelled against Homeworld 6000 years ago. On the Site she waited and only started the rebellion in 2013
•In the Show, Pink Diamond was Shorter then the other Diamonds, and only had a short time commanding her Colony before the rebellion started. On the Site, as Rose Hesitated, Pink has had several thousands of years experience in managing her colony, and additionally is of a height and stature the same as Blue and Yellow Diamond.
•In the Show, the Colony was very early in production before the rebellion happened, thus explaining the lack of frequent Gem structures on Earth. In the Roleplay, the Earth has the same amount of Gem structures as the show, buts its because construction on Pink's colony was very slow due to Earth being on the furthest Edge of the Gem empire
•In the Show, the Crystal Temple was implied to have been built after the Rebellion, On the Site, its implied to have been retrofitted from a Homeworld Temple structure.
