Name: Serpentine, nicknamed: "Big S" or "Snake Dude"
Appeared Gender: Male
Appeared Age: 17-20ish.
Gemstone: Serpentine
Gemstone Location: His right shoulder, your left.
Faction: Neutral side, whoever really poses a threat to his home or himself.
Corrupted: Nope!
Appearance: Attached image! Extra Details: 145 lbs (according to mass on Earth), 5'9" tall.
Personality: Quick tempered, ditzy at times, gets embarrassed or emotional for the smallest reasons. Sarcastic and rude, but has a soft spot at times and when it shows you can really tell. Can give good life advice when he realizes someone really needs it. His mind often backpedals and worries about situations that don't matter in the past.
Likes/Dislikes: Likes: Any form of human television entertainment, technology, agriculture, building/creating, gardening, and fight-training.
Dislikes: Overly-happy people, excessive amounts of anything, in fact -- despite his negative temper he usually doesn't like negativity thrown his way.
Fears: Unknown gems, injectors, Kindergartens, Homeworld, natural disasters.
Weapon: Picture attached! Description: A drill that's strong enough to break through most soft solid surfaces, such as dirt, some concrete, wood, and soft metals. Has to apply extra force when poofing a gem. Cannot shatter a gem.
Ability 1: Instances of ground manipulation. Can control some patches of dirt and can levitate rocks, and some boulders. The greatest instance of this is a medium powered earthquake that lasts for 3 posts. (Including mines and others, not just my posts.) Cooldown: 6 posts.
Ability 2: Snake manipulation. Much like a snake charmer, whistling can cause snakes and other serpent-like creatures to come to Serpentine and stand still. Unlike snake charmers, these snakes can do his bidding.
Fusions: N/A
History: Created in Yellow Diamond's court (4000 BC), Serpentines are made to replace injectors in case of malfunctions or technical difficulties. When Serpentine was made, there was something immediately wrong with him. Vibrations in the earth and any platform he stands on causes his light-based form to "glitch". His form becomes very shaky and the light scatters. When the vibrations stop, so does this "glitch". This was an extreme contrary to his purpose, as it did not allow manual drilling because of the vibrations. The Diamonds ordered shattering or the bubbling of Serpentine, but, he refused.
He escaped through a rogue ejector pod. There was a total recall of all Serpentines. However, when they realized the real Serpentine escaped, they were released. While escaping, though, he realized what he's done. For the short amount of time he was there, he made a few friends -- and he longs to meet them again. Sometimes these thoughts cloud his mind, often backtracking him and leaving him in a deep depression -- on top of the fact that his form goes against his abilities meaning he won't be good in combat. He can't get past the fact that his entire existence is not important.
Currently, he is hidden in a small tunnel system he dug on Earth on Beach City. This tunnel helps protect him from the vibrations that happen during any fights between gems. So far, he hasn't gotten to meet anyone as of yet -- during the 6,000+ years on Delmarva.
Character Arcs: When Serpentine decides to train one day, he ends up... embarrassingly poofing himself. After reforming into his current form, he has an epiphany. Several days into hiding, he reappears again. While hiding, he was training to control his light distortion and get better at fighting. These aspirations... proved to be futile. Serpentine learns that sometimes, you have to live with what you're given. (Negative character arc, does not improve his character positively.) Sometimes, Serpentine gets weird thoughts. These thoughts blanket his mind, and unfortunately leads him into a depressed and anxiety-ridden state. Serpentine personally trains himself to think of what's bothering him, to control his thoughts, to control his anger, and to control himself. In connection to the first arc, he now knows that it is possible to change yourself for the better -- and any defects that are a burden on you just shows how great you're striving to be.
