(Pearl cried because he is really sensitive. He realized how long Fiblorite was probably trapped in the glove. Colony ships landed on Earth LONG time ago.)
Light was kinda dissapointed when Fiblorite felt bad when he was called 'Handy'. "Ohhh... that is one of my best nicknames and it fits you. Okay, I will try to not call you like that" Pearl promised to not call him like that but he will probably do it anyway. He get used to call him like that.
It was also weird to hear some emotions from him. Maybe he will later learn how to express them more often. Being near Pearl will probably help him, he is always full of emotions.
Para told hands to leave Handy alone. Light looked at hands closely. It was time to find out if it will work.
Fibrolite's eyes had been sort of dead up until now, almost half closed and completely void of any emotion of any sort. But when Padparadscha told the hands to let him rest for a moment, this started to change a little too quickly. His eyes opened up completely, and he looked around at the ground as if to see if the hands were going to stay down there, when it became apparent that they were going to stay down there, his eyes filled with joy at the understanding that he was free right now.
Almost immediately he jumped down to Padparadscha's knees and hugged them as if she'd just saved his life. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" His eyes were filled with tears, crying with happiness that he was actually free. "They're so awful, they don't ever let up and they just appear whenever-!" Fibrolite was cut off when one of the hands from before very quickly grabbed hold of his head and ripped him away from Padparadscha while another two lifted him up by the arms and legs in a way that prevented him from moving or talking, just listening. It looked like whatever the hands considered was a moment, was up.

(No need to explain yourself Light, it was merely Para's internal thoughts )
Para waited along with Fibrolite, watching to see if the hands were indeed going to listen. She was about to ask before Fibrolite jumped up and grasped her legs, "Oh uhm, yes of course dear." It was odd seeing him so emotive, everything previously led her to believe he wasn't an especially personable gem. Yet for this brief moment a little bit of character seemed to shine through, though it was sad to see it only last so long. "Oh my, these hands really are unkind aren't they. What are their limits, could I... I suppose I should just try. Hands, I meant a little longer than that. Could you leave us be, at least while we have a conversation?" She was curious how much these hands were willing to listen, perhaps she could give Fibrolite a little respite considering he just came out of a whole different kind of imprisonment.
Fiblorite started to act so... happy. It was not like him. It made Pearl a little bit more happy too. Handy started hugging Para's knees. Something was bothering Light "Hmmm it is not like I figured this out that hands won't bother you anymore if Para will ask them..."
Suddenly Hands started acting weird again. Fiblorite just had a few seconds of freedom after so many years. It was painful to watch. Light got angry at hands "Hey! Leave him alone... you... you... body parts with no brain!" Light knocked out one hand with his stick "I found you and as your founder I want you to leave Fiblorite alone! You can only appear when he wants you to." Light hoped it will work. He wasn't sure if they will listen to a low classed gem like himself.
The hands were ready to recede into the ground after Padparadscha had told them to, but it wasn't without hesitation. They shook a bit, as if they wanted to stay and clobber the Pearl for acting so differently than they were supposed to. As far as the hands were concerned Pearl had acting in a way that they would classify as defective, they would never listen to a word he said. However they were powerless to do anything about it, as long as Padparadscha was a normal higher class gem, they had to keep her orders in mind, and quickly receded into the ground below them. The hands let go of Fibrolite as they disappeared, letting him fall to his knees.
Fibrolite sighed before lifting his head up to them, then spoke as he got back up to his feet. "Thank you, again..." He was looking at Padparadscha, but moved his head to face Pearl before adding "Both of you." He had no idea what to think of the Pearl at this point, from anyway he looked at it, he was a defective pearl, but if he stripped away the fact that they were a pearl, some of his actions were actually borderline heroic. Then the Padparadscha was willing to keep the hands at bay despite the fact that they gave her complete control over him. They were strange for sure, but it might've been a stroke of luck that it was that Pearl who found him.

Light's concern for this gem was rather admirable, especially considering they had only just met. Yet the compassion he seemed to feel was incredibly present, something that she noted to herself was a trait she sometimes lacked. Light's command was far more direct, though it was rather smart thinking. As far as she was aware it seemed to work, although she never would have suspected for the hands to ignore his commands simply for being a pearl.
Para smiled, "Of course dear. There's no need to have those hands roughing you up, why don't you take the time to relax and tell us about yourself. I'm awfully curious now." So far Fibrolite had been rather cagey about his answers, although she was beginning to suspect the hands had something to do with his behavior.
Hands were acting like the want to hit Light. He got scared a little, he made a step back. "So rude..." Luckly they listened to the Para's command. Fiblorite was free again, hopefully for more than few seconds like last time.
Poor gem fallen on the knees when hands let him go " Hand- I mean Fiblorite, how is it posible to live with those things?" Those hands were so emotionless and awful. They were also making Fiblorite act like them. Light started to think how would Fibrolite act if he never had this ability.
Fiblorite this time actully thanked Pearl. Light was full of pride "No problem!" If Fibrolite started to not look at Light like at Pearls he was... maybe there was a change that he will also learn how beautiful life on Earth is.
Fibrolite didn't particularly enjoy talking about himself, but was well aware of how he'd been holding back information, and the two new gems he'd met had surely earned a better explanation than what he'd originally provided them with.
"I guess I haven't been completely honest with you..." He moved his hand behind his head, not even noticing the habit he had of putting it there when he was guilty. "See, I'm... defective." It was very easy to tell by his voice that he was ashamed of this particular fact. "Those hands don't always follow orders properly everytime, that's why they're unreliable. In a combat based mission you can't have unreliable soldiers. But it doesn't end there either, I'm sure you've seen my weapon, the big weird sword from earlier, I'm not the only one with a messed up weapon. That thing is not considered a proper weapon by any means, it's more or less a big hunk of spikes, and that's not exclusive to me, all the other ones were like that too." He was looking straight down at the ground now. "I hate those hands... I swear that as long as you keep them down I will not be a defect, I'll still do whatever you say." He took a rather loud gulp before continuing "But if you want to be completely safe, I'd recommend simply giving the words. They'll poof me if they're told you know." Then almost under his breath he added "It's not like they haven't before."
He didn't have the same emotional shield up that he did when the hands were present, and it did a god job at worsening the blow of the feels he was having to experience. Everything he'd been trying to keep shut out. His past, his future, and even the small things like the way he'd been being mean to Pearl just to look good to the hands. It all came crashing down all at once, and it actually started to get his eyes all watery. He held back the tears, but it was obvious that they were there just by the way his eyes were all shiny.

"Defective? Hmm, I see." Her expression didn't betray her reaction, sounding rather neutral about it all. Under the surface she was thinking it over, initially she had to get over the stigma she had learned during her time with Homeworld. Her thoughts were nothing vile, not like many others, but like most there was a sort of air of disdain around defective gems. Often she had actually received such gems to be used in decorations and artifacts (for a moment she wondered if it was another Padparadscha that put him in that glove). But she reminded herself that this was simply one of the many niggling traits sticking around from her time as a loyalist. The Crystal Gems had a much different outlook on the situation, and she was trying hard to unlearn her previous programming.
It helped seeing Fibrolite as he was, after all she had never actually met a defective gem that was not poofed. Part of her just sort of assumed they functioned differently, yet this was a gem just like any other at least on the outside. By the time Fibrolite finished his story she had come to a decision, "Do not be silly dear, I believe we are perfectly safe around you. By no means am I going to have to poofed just for a precaution." She rubbed her chin trying to find the right words to describe something she only barely understood, "If I am to understand how things are around here, being defective is nothing to be ashamed of. Gems of all types can find purpose on this planet, you are no different. If you are willing to put in the work I think you may find a nice enough place for yourself here on Earth." While she was rather clinical about the whole ordeal, there really was warm sentiment behind what she said. She just wasn't good at saying in simpler ways...
His story made Light feel sad again. However Pearl tried not to cry again, it would be kinda pathetic... He just made a really sad face. One thing was odd for Pearl though "Wait... how is it possible that the whole kind og gems were defective?"
Para tried to chear up Fibrolite and gave him a new hope "I wouldn't be able to say it better Lady Para."
Light turned to Fibrolite "The important thing is that you are safe here, none of the Diamonds will hurt you he-" Pearl covered his mouth. He forgot that Fiblorite still see Diamonds as higher class gems, as gods. Light whispered to Para "I did a bad thing saying this, did I?" He said that with really scared voice. If Fibrolite decided to hurt traitors Forge could be destroyed. All the work that Para and Light did... lost forever.
He gave a complete answer to Pearl's question. "When a new gem is produced, there's no way of knowing if they will be fit to serve the diamonds or not, and so a bunch get made and if they don't fit into a required role... They will be used to serve the diamonds in other ways. It's nothing special, nothing new, not the first time or the last time. Homeworld needs gems that will be harvested and used for other stuff like artefacts, if every gem turned out perfect we wouldn't have those materials." These weren't Fibrolite's words, this was something that had been announced to all of them a long time ago, he was simply repeating it.
Luckily he didn't really have time to think about all that, he was distracted by other things. Earth was already starting to sound quite interesting to him, it seemed a lot less strict than anywhere he'd ever been before. Not that he'd really seen much to compare it to.
Fibrolite was curious to learn more about Earth now, after having heard that all gems could find a place on it, and the odd thing that the Pearl said. "Umm, what Diamond is in control of this planet anyway?" He was asking questions to try to figure out what Pearl meant, he wasn't necessarily suspicious, just confused. As of right now, Fibrolite knew absolutely nothing about the rebellion even existing, he didn't even think gems would rebel. Thanks to this lack of information it would be much easier to fool him than most other Homeworld gems on Earth, which was probably for the best.

Para shot Light a look at his little slip up, though she made no mention as Fibrolite didn't seem to take note of his comment. Instead she simply acted like he never said it and turned back to pay attention, "While it is true certain gems are used mainly for artifacts, like I mentioned I think you can serve a much greater purpose as you are. As for the Diamond that controls this planet, it is technically the one and only colony under Pink Diamond." Hopefully that knowledge helped put him to ease, after all Pink Diamond was known to be the kinder of the four of them. Well, any gem compared to Yellow Diamond would seem kind and forgiving...
"Ohhh okay. I am sure you will be able to be something more than just a glove here."
Good that sometimes Light was really lucky... who knows what would happen if Handy realized that he is now on the planet that is not controlled by any Diamond. But from the other side... he will learn this sooner or later. They can't just force him to live inside of the forge for the rest of his life! Right?
"Yeah... of course it is controled by Pink Diamond! Ha! Ha..."
Para's look made him a little ashamed.
"Yeah! When you will be able to control your hands you could... help with carring heavy things or be a great body guard. However please don't clean. It is my job..."
"Wow!" Fibrolite was rather surprised by this fact. "So Pink Diamond got a colony and it's already up and running?" This new understanding made him realise just how long he'd been in the glove, it wasn't too easy to tell time in there. "So I really was in there for quite some time..." He scratched his head, almost bothered by just how much he must've missed, and how much would've changed in that amount of time.
When Pearl mentioned him eventually being able to control the hands, he let out a tiny smile. At the time, that seemed pretty much impossible, but it was always nice to think that there was a chance. After all, he never could have imagined getting released from the glove and given a normal role before, but it happened.
He then let out a tiny chuckle after Pearl told him not to clean, and responded with an "Okay."

Again Para seemed a little uneasy, "Well... not exactly. It has been slow going, and the colony is not complete. Indeed it barely even started from my understanding. And now currently all progress has been halted due to a group of gems who are uh... how do I put this..." She tapped the the side of her chin, "There exists a sizable group that wishes for the colony not to finish, preferring that the planet stays as it is. Their ideology comes from the idea that the local life, some of which is sentient, is worth protecting rather than having another finished colony." That was probably the best she could explain the situation without condemning or supporting the rebellion. While she did of course support them such opinion wouldn't be taken kindly by most loyalists gems, at least not upon first impressions.
Melody: how are you doing? Are you going to make a character in here?

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
