Warp pad inside M tower activated and three gems appeared there suddenly. First of them was the Fire Opal Chip, the Rising Phoenix, the Eternal Flame and Protector of Empire city. The other was the Fusion Gaspeite, the supposed general of Pink Diamond and the last one was a gem, that spent last centuries trapped inside a book...
"Welcome to the human spire known as M tower... the seat of Morion, Her Majesty the Blue Diamond's wrath and lord and protector of Empire city"
He always forgotten how it was with Morion... the was something with eyes... and being lent to White Diamond, but he didn't care that much. Instead Chip summoned on of the human quartzes that were guarding the room. "Please, inform Morion, that I have returned and that I... there is something he should really see..."
He said, then turned to Pearl.
"This place is my home... I can see it becoming your home too... if you want..."

Gaspeite, Pink Diamond's herald and the true protector of homeworld appeared with the group inside the tower, along the smol orange "hero" of Empire city, and the magnificent Plum Pearl which woke up from an endless sleep only minutes ago. The fire opal talked first, talking about a certain gem like a deity.
"This is the "home" of the majority of Homeworld gems, loyal gems. Some loyal gems cannot stand Morion's personality... which is very understandable, and choose to do productive things. Although in all honesty, this human city might be the safest place for Homeworld gems on this colony."
Gaspeite felt that morion had influenced Chip so much, he talked nearly like him. It was a sad sight, Morion really isnt the gem to copy your personality from, Gaspeite thought. She hoped Plum wouldn't follow the same fate, seeing as Pearls are usually easy to influence.
Plum was suddenly hit with a bit of a sense of the overwhelming nature of the situation.. was this Chip gem really such an important figure to be a prominent figure under a de-facto ruler/governor of a large portion of a gem colony?? Hoo boy, what had Plum gotten herself into here? Without realizing it she had kind of skootched a half step closer to the larger fusion's side as Chip called for the human guards, and instructed them to call the lord of the tower.
Closing her eyes a moment near Gaspeite's side, she has soon steeled herself and might be heard murmuring to herself... "It's okay Plum.. you weathered 12 times worse than this back then, with that blasted book..."
When she opens her eyes a bit, they seem to flash with a stubborn stalwart nature that perhaps that perhaps better befit an Amethyst or Jasper guard.. but despite the fact she was a Pearl, she wore the expression well. The past two hundred years had been completely beyond her control, so she wasn't about to go all wallflower now, if she could help it!
On some of the high glass balconies, she watched groups of humans, some in suits, others in lab coats, and others in advanced anti-ballistic armor with what appeared to be magazine fed "repeating flintlocks" to Plum's eyes. She WAS, after all, trying to relate what she saw to the last period of human history she had observed over two centuries ago.
As her gaze wandered, she recognized large flowing banners, hanging vertically that each bore the heraldry of one of the Diamond Matriarchs on the pillars at the four corners of the room. What's more, everything was so clean! Nothing was this clean in the human world two hundred years ago. When she realized that her jaw was hanging open just a little bit, she quickly moved a fist to near her mouth and cleared her throat and remarked....
..."Well then..certainly.. credit where credit is due to these natives. It's far more than I expected given the two hundred years since I was last exposed to their like.."

"What's wrong with Morion's personality?"
Chip asked. Though the proper question should be "what is wrong with his personalities..." and at that moment the whole question was probably moot. Then again it wasn't nice to talk ill about person in his own home...
"But it is true that we are keeping this place safe for gems and humans both..."
He said proudly. Though he wasn't sure if Pearls listened. It was probably a lot to take in at once.
"Oh, you've seen nothing yet... humans developed systems to share information over the entire world... satellites to map the planet from space... even crude space crafts. It's actually quite impressive... nothing that would rival our technology... but if they have another 100 years... "

Gaspeite simply didn't answer Chip's question as he had still continued to talk, before noticing that Plum scooted slightly closer. She really did not want for Plum to meet Morion, but, what could she do?... as Chip talked about human progress, Gaspeite rose an eyebrow. Chip sounded very confident about humans right there, maybe slightly too much at the end of his sentence.
"But they shouldn't have another 100 years, if the colony wasn't going as slow. Even though not everyone likes the idea, a lot of humans are helping the loyal gem side as much as they can, at least."
Gaspeite looked through the room along Plum, she didn't exactly pay attention to everything the first time she was here, nor when she simply walked through to get to the elevator leading to the top of the building or else. As much as Vesuvianite didn't like this place because of the feeling that Morion went overboard, Peridot found the ambiance quite familiar, even if it wasn't really homeworld-driven. It was so clean and made refferences to homeworld, to a point which wasn't uncomfortable.
"This building isn't the only place worth checking out to see the humans' advancements in term of structures. There is a crazy amount of buildings like this one, just smaller. Aditionally, everything in this city is always lit up, and humans are moving all the time. But that's not the matter, right now, hm."
Gaspeite said before floating her lower hands flying finger so they would rest on Plum's shoulder. "I'm sure this is a lot to take in, but a Pearl like you can surely understand everything easily." Gaspeite said while slightly smiling towards Plum, before taking her attention back to Chip.
Plum may have been slightly intimidated by the whole situation, but she was a Pearl after all, and as such she was very VERY well versed in all the intricasies and complexities of socializing and relaitonships among superiors and subordinates and individuals with similar overall missions but relatively differing modes of thuoght, and it was apparent to her that Chip's disposition on this Morion character was somewhat contrasting to that of Gaspeite's.
She figured that part of it may be coming from the fact that Gaspeite is a fusion, an enity with certain restrictions and sanctions levvied upon them, so she migth be a bit more...critical.. or rather at least a bit more questioning of authority figures and the ways in which they do things, preferring to behave somewhat on the fringe of bending the rules, given the nature of their existance.
Despite working these things out in her mind, she was in fact listening rather intently, that same focused look remaining on her eyes as she took in more of the room. She almost instinctively summoned some holo-clones to scout out even more of the place, but thought better of it, since she had not ben officially introduced or recognized as a friendly in this place..
~"Oh, you've seen nothing yet... humans developed systems to share information over the entire world... satellites to map the planet from space... even crude space crafts. It's actually quite impressive... nothing that would rival our technology... but if they have another 100 years... "~
She swiveled her gaze down to Chip who seemed to be positively beaming. He obviously thought a great deal of this Morion, however his accolades for the humans and their potential was a bit surprizing. Perhaps this small orange gem was more of a grounded and realistic personality that she initally thought. After all, indoctrination was rife in the gem empire when last she was on home world. But it had always been that way, as far as she could tell..
"I understand what you're saying Chip, and I look forward to getting to meet our host, he sounds most ambitous in his undertaking of guiding the actions on this colony." Her response was ever so curt, neither piling sugarry acolades on the subject nor was she dismissive, socially it seemd she could indeed walk the edge rather well.
"What about you Gaspeite, youve been on this world a while, what is your take on the potential of the natives here.. aferall.. I hope you can understand that my prior ... interactions.. with a limited number of them have left a rather acrid tone to my memories of them, even through all this mental fog that I still feel."
The moments passed and Plum crept out from behind Gaspeite a little bit. She was gradually getting a bit more comfortable with the size of the room, and the colleciton of faces pausing to look down at where they stood by the pad from the balconies and hall ways up high, examining her for a moment or two, murmuring then moving on about their duties and to their destinations. It really wasnt all that bad, pearls after all were sometimes paraded out by their owners almost like little decadence competitions back on home world after all. So while it wasnt the most titilating feeling, it wasnt entirely alien either..
Reaching out with a fashion gloved hand, she taps Chip on the shoulder.
"..So.. are we supposed to just stay here waiting for the master of the tower, or is there someplace else we are supposed to go to wait? I am trying to kind of piece things together here, by reading inbetween the lines. Kind of feels odd not doing anything.. er.. more so, for a Pearl, although if we are to wait, I can muster the will to be patient."
Judging from Gaspeite's previous pensive behavior and statements regarding Morion, she was torn between perhaps not wanting to have to meet this gem, and simply charging into the encounter like an ancient human trireme, and geeting it over with. But she hushed and calmed her own mind, reminding herself that to be in such close proximity of several high-ranking gems, coudl be very advantageous in this new strange world, and it might just include access to resources and information that might help her fill in the damaged sections of her memory, concerning her current or former owner.. if they were still alive and whole somewhere at all..

The Smoky Quartz followed the group through the security cameras He watched the trio on the screen That Warmachine His dear loyal...ish apprentice And a Pearl Morion simply nodded when the humans told him, the young Fire Opal arrived with his "friends" So it was time to greet them Several seconds later the elevator's door opened, and he stepped out with two humans The Black Guards, human "quartzes" he liked to call them, were the special warriors of his; humans from all over his criminal empire, web of influence. And humans who had joined his cause. Police mans, soldiers, thugs... it mattered not, where did they came from, two things were immportant and common in them: They were - first and foremost - Humans, sons and daughters of the Planet Earth And they all had some previous experience with war and fighting, be it a street gang, the army, or anything They had the warriors heart The third common thing was: they were all trained by the Smoky Quartz, personally Dressed in black SWAT-like body armour, mimicing the smoky Quartz Gem armor, with a Blue Diamond insignia on their chest, armed with heavy weaponry
"Santiago, please go and contact Diego, he went with Bloodstone to Beach City, and I want an update about the mission I gave him..." "Si senor M" "Katsurou? Be so kind and find me Red Spinel... I have a new assigment for him! "Hai!
The humans Diamond-saluted and left Morion turned to the trio The Smoky Quartz was in his humanoid form, but not Gem "armor" He was a tall ('Quartz tall^^) Gem (but not bulky like a Jasper or Amethyst, his kind was slender) with long grey hair and silver eyes. It was evident, he was wearing real, human clothes, - black silk suit - Italian with maching shoes - shirt, tie and cane. - it wasn't his projection, since the shirt and vest hided his Gem. His skin tone was a bit grey...ish, like the smoke, but he could pass as a caucasian man.
"Good evening Chip... Fusion Gaspeite..."
The Assassin nodded and rested on his cane and smiled

It seemed that Morion won't come and Pearl wanted to go elsewhere. There was no reason to stay in lobby... there was nothing to be seemed here. And M Tower had a lots of nice places... but it would be probably best to go to some place with great view of the city. There were several, but Chip's favourite was...
And then Morion came. He was a very busy gem, so it was understandable that it took him some time to arrive. "Let me introduce Morion, whose titles you already heard... and this is... Plum Pearl, that I... kinda bought... by accident. Uhm... she was bound to a book... and I bought the book... and then we freed her... and I thought I might take her here..."
He got little tangled into what he wanted to say for a moment. He didn't want to sound like slaver...

"Surely the natives here are on their way to challenging our Empire. The development of a colony has never been this slow from everything I've eve read, and this is the result. The humans are surely going to quickly develop and create technologies just like our specie's seen so many other capable of rivaling ours. I firmly think we needed to wipe the Earth off-", but Gaspeite shut her mouth, there were so many natives here, it could only turn badly if she started going on a verbal cruse on why the humans were only critters and potentially dangerous for the gem empire. If she could NOT have a specie going against hers, she would do it at any cost.
But she also couldn't continue, as the villainous, mad and manipulative well known Smokey Quartz appeared in a classy manner. Moriona ctually got down pretty quickly, seeing he supposedly was very busy. Anyhow, when the Quartz soldier talked, Gaspeite felt that he still didn't like a fusion's presence. And Gaspeite did not care anymore, it was his problem feeling uncomfortable. She diamond-saluted before she crossed her upper arms and placed her lower arms behind her back, with an expressionless, slightly unamused face.
"In short, Chip and I unbound the lovely Plum from her artifact. Which was a crudely made catalyst on an old human book. And we thought it could be of use to show her around how the world has changed, since you have such a magnificent estate.", Gaspeite said, attempting to believe her before-last word as much as she could, it sounded to work. Her attitude was normal, although it looked forced this time around. There was no reason why Chip would have such a hard time saying such simple things, seeing how he is usually able to talk efficiently.
It was at this point that Plum had gathered up her courage and regained her composure and stepped away from Gaspeite's side and maneuvers herself forward, standing just a little ahead of Chip even. She looks the part of a pearl in most stylistic respects, being rather graceful looking, fashionably attired and dotted with features, such as nose and a few other thigns that stood out as common among her gem specie. While almost everything would look to be in place, an astute observer might notice that where most pearls, at least the ones commonly seen stood about 6 feet tall, this one appeared to be about 5 ft 6 inches, somewhat shorter, however her body proportions were somewhat more solid in appearance, and bearing a slightly more curvy frame.
"Greeting lord Morion Quartz.." She could at least tell his gem type, thank goodness.
Plum Pearl spoke out, a somewhat greater depth and "oomph" resonated in her voice, compared to the more willowy or nasal tones known to the taller pearls as well..
"I am pearl designation: DSSA HG-U #93877 HSV 347~51.4~55.7, that's Decorative Sentient Servant Accessory High-Grade Utility model. Umm, if my knowledge on my fellow pearls is still half way current, I believe that my counterpart pearls of the GD series..the er.. Graceful Dancer line, are somewhat more common and iconic of our gem-type. For my coloration, my cultivators named me 'Plum' for short, and it stuck ever since. The Utility line was cultivated as custom orders, when greater all around versatility and some measure of increased durability was required by a ranking gem, making us somewhat more.. er..reliable and resilient in the field, as aides to gems such as front line commanders and the like.."
Her arms rose up into a flawless Diamond Salute, and then returned to her sides.
"I appreciate your hospitality, as due in large part to the accolades of you comrade and colleague, I am told you have done much to secure Home World interests on this planet and provide a secure place for gems on this world. I will doubtless soon share the same sentiments of thanks and gratitude, I already feel to these two here, for rescuing me from..a nightmare I was in but also.. couldn't truly recognize existed. I will provide you with any additional information on myself and my situation that you requests, although I am .. saddened to confess my entrapment has left me with a degree of memory loss on certain things and.. individuals."
She tried her best to make a good show of it, and for the most part, it seemed to fall into place, speaking like that, it was nice to know that her other pearl-y aptitudes remained more or less in tact although she could feel her composure slip somewhat during that last part, as her mind momentarily wracked itself with the greyed out gaps in the images of her memory, where her owner should be.. From here on out, she would have to wait and see how the host reacted...
"Nice to meet you. Yes this is a safe haven for Loyal Gems, it is true. And as my dear little Apprentice said, I am a Smoky Quartz, from the Morion variant - Facet-7F2R Cut-8YQ; Her Majesty's Blue Diamond's loyal servant, In the past fifteen millenia, I was, and I AM her eye... I am her Wrath!
Morion bowed his head a little with a Diamond salute
"...and I am now the Gem Lord and protector of Empire City. Welcome to my Domain little Pearl"
Then he nodded to the Fusion and Chip
"Nice work you two! I is lovely to see Pink Diamond's Herald and a future member of the Pink Court working together so well! You were right, Earth and Humanity had changed... and to be honest, constantly changing.... but thanks to our efforts, they are now more or less supporting our Empire
Morion turned to the Pearl
"You are now Chip's or the Fusion Gaspeite's Pearl? Or "uneployed" at the moment? And don't worry I will find some time to talk with you privately! Maybe we could even find a solution to your memory problem dear... "
Post by Chip the Fire Opal on Apr 3, 2017 12:30:22 GMT
Morion was overstating a little when he said that they were working together. It was just... more convenient to keep Gaspeite around then try to get rid of her. He gave her a very ugly look when she was talking about wiping the Earth... last time she was talking such nonsense he was so close to blast her apart... "Yeah, we are really good at cooperating while trying to save other gems... I suppose..."
Though she wanted to free her in the building full of people... which was potentially disastrous... but meh, that was the past... and Pearl turned out to be pleasant company, not murderous psycho... so that turned out well.
Chip got little surprised, when Morion asked, if Pearl was Chip's or Gaspeite's...
Post by Zriphelo (Gaspeite) on Apr 3, 2017 22:27:02 GMT
Gaspeite was getting disgusted the longer she stayed around here, and once again Morion introduced himself in his fancy way. Gaspeite understood why Chip looked at her that way, but it was only the reality. Even if Pink Diamond kept a zoo, it was unable to hold all the humans on Earth, and more, if Chip really was loyal, he would know that the Earth would get hollowed and gems would be the last inhabitants there. Unless he wishes to waste the very few resources they had used on the colony...
Gaspeite talked while tapping and reading on her screen, "Yes, this cooperation was rather efficient, although was not extreme. I'm glad we could save a Pearl from such a miserable fate.", she said with a mild smiling face.
She rose an eyebrow after hearing what Morion said and reading a bit more on her screen, before turning to the other gems. "Well, regarding what Plum has already taught us, and from her designation... I am the most fitted for her to go with, and since you've already heard everything, well, I'll spare the details."
She said firmly, althought she know that it was going to settle a very uncomfortable atmosphere around.
Plum gulped and fidgeted in place for a moment there, she hadn't really considered her place in gem society too much at the moment. After all the fate of her owner was unknown, and she would really like to try and sort out the missing bits of her memories. Perhaps that book she was bound to held some answers. But she would have to look into that later.
"Well Lord Morion, I believe my status as to with whom I am paired is somewhat a matter of contention at the moment. The fate of my original master is currently unknown, additionally I cannot discern just how long they and I have truly been seperated for. Perhaps their fragmented place in my memory is a .. blessing.. if they have indeed met a demise. I know it is not my place to ask, but I would request some meager resources to try and determine what happened, and examine the book to which I was bound."
She listened to both Gaspeite and Chip give their recount of the events so far, and was a bit surprised the fusion suggested they would be the best one to keep an eye on her for the time being.
"While we were on the island where they freed me, I spoke to the effect that while I was uncertain about what would happen going forward, but for the time being, in gratitude for their freeing me, I offered my skills and companionship to whichever of them had need of me at the time. I am not about to go about in this new world, expecting a free ride."
After finishing speaking, Plum's eyes seem to return to scanning about the large hall with glistening curiosity. She was confused, ovwerwhelmed and scared in some ways, but it seemed those things were not quite enough to overpower this unique pearl's sense of curiosity..
"Pardon me, but.. are there more.. like me about on the colony? I know that umm.. luxuries are sometimes slow to arrive on new colony worlds, and from what I have heard from the three of you, this one has progressed rather more slowly, due to various.. unforseen developments. I feel there is much that I have yet to absorb to begin to catch up!"
"Yes... saving a Gem is its own reward, so to speak. As an Infiltrator, on the contrary of popular belief, the goals of my missions, tho' some of them involves some unfortunate... accidents, are not Death, rather Life. By rooting out the questionable elements and gathering important informations to my Diamonds, those missions on the long run serves the benefit of the Gem kind. Saves the lives of innocent Gems. It is my burden to carry to live with the shame, I couldn't foresaw and prevent the Rebellion, and the actions of these terrorist, the sabotages, the attacks shattered or condemned good, loyal Gems to be in a bubble, or live their life broken, cracked or chipped..."
The Smoky Quartz shook his head "Before the cataclysm, that waits to this doomed planet I try to save as many Humans, their culture, art... plants, animals, the things that makes Earth "Earth" as I could... like your mistress did Fusion Gaspeite. Perserving this world's beauty is the least I can do, to please your Diamond. And not to mention saving the Gems, the unfortunate victims of this situation! After all, this is Her Majesty's, Pink Diamond's Planet... "
"No so long ago, I saved a Pearl too... a Black Pearl! Who is now My Pearl. Funny situation, I never had a Pearl... but she insisted to be mine. Keeping an eye on her tho', it is possible, she is a spy. But I think she is just a lost, scared Pearl... After Light Mocha Pearl, and Black Pearl, now here you are..."
Morion smiled to the Gem
"A Plum Pearl... soon we can rename ourselves the Pearl Protection League...! Savior of Pearls! Not that bad name! Sorry Plum, the Planet is in chaos, tho' Her Majesty's, Pink Diamond's fleet is orbiting the Moon, the planet itself is still full of Rebels and Independents, not to mention monsters, ruins and death... We try to find and save as many Gems, yes, including Pearls as we could, but it is not that easy... but as you can see, we are doing our best to restore order... "
The Gem mused a bit
"I think you should find... and choose your own "master". You are a Gem, like you, me... and even that Warmachine over there. Not more. Not less. I will give you a home on the Ship... or in the Tower, whatever you prefer. You are free to come and go Plum Pearl, if you want to wish explore Earth and the possibilites... and if anyone would try to stop you, I will bubble that Gems personally. We are traped on this misrable planet, the less thing we need is forced loyalty... stay and serve out of your own free will, like these Humans, not becasue you were ordered to do! We need unity on Earth! Strong loyalty!"
The Smoky quartz rested on his cane and nodded "Anything else? I always have time for Gems and Humans... and cats. But a day is just 24 hours on this world..."
This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
