Bloodstone sighed and patted Light on the head, setting him down once they were inside the ship. She figured it would be best to personally ask Light about that projection...but to save it for later. Now may not be the best time.
"Punching is something I don't think you deserve at the moment"
She smiled softly and looked at Peridot then back at Light
"Although Peridot does have a good question, what WERE you doing at the Galaxy Warp in the first place? I didn't expect to see you there of all places. Any particular reason or...did you just decide to wander around all by yourself and just happen to pop up? Either way it's...sort of unusual, no offense"
"Ohh? Oh... I forgot that I summon holograms shen I am innactive."
Light wasn't sure what he could say. However he just wanted to be alone for a while and think about what happened. "I just wanted to have some alone time. Noone is usually coming here. This place is abandoned after all. What are you doing here? This Peridot might want to fix galaxy warps. That would mean war!"
He started whispering to Bloodstone "Why to the mother of Pearls are you working with a loyal Peridot? She will shatter you or worse. You can never trust these gems! They have computer instead of gemstone! You never quite know what she is going to do! I thought you are not a loyalist."
Once Light and Bloodstone were aboard the ship, Peridot closed the door, sealing the the hull with a latching click. Once her flight path was set in, she initiated the flight and the world outside of the ship changed rapidly as the Galaxy Warp disappeared below the clouds. Peridot stood up from the main command chair and approached the two other gems, stopping a short distance away and crossing her arms. She eyed Light with skepticism and tapped her floating digits against her gauntlet, clinking rhythmically. "Fixing the Galaxy Warp could mean the ability to return home as needed. The only war here is the one some misguided gems decided to create. If they'd just stop breaking my sites I'd have no complaints..." she explained to Light.
Bloodstone face palmed, sighing in slight frustration
"I'm not a loyalist...erm...let me rephrase that, I'm the type of gem that might work with either side of this whole...stuff. Depends on the circumstance."
Octi looked at the floor of the ship in slight embarrassment
"The way I've been working on Earth is that I've done my best to keep the humans I care about safe. At the same time, I may work or help a Homeworld gem here and there. I do not have a declared side though in this war. I tend to make alliances as I go. That goes for all gems, Homeworld or CG. Apologies if I have disappointed you Light..and apologies if I've lost your respect Peridot. Feels like I deserve it now."
The Bloodstone appeared to be feeling a lot of shame, tempted to almost curl up in embarrassment
Light didn't even want to talk with a Peridot about this. There was no point in this. After all none of loyalists understand. This Peridot probably spend most of her life near the console of the galactic ship or something. She has got no idea why they are really fighting for.
Pearl was shocked a little. He had no idea that Bloodstone is doing such a thing. She probably does not know how to decide. "Bloody I still like you but ehhh... It is kinda weird. By helping Homeworld you make our live harder... and by helping us you make loyalists live harder. You should decide in what side you are or just don't interract. It is impossible to be friendly for both of us."
The lack of response from the pearl was annoying to Peridot and she crossed her arms, practically glaring at the two. The ship was flying through the upper levels of the atmosphere and it wouldn't be long before they were all safely back in Beach City. Peridot's gaze drifted off to the side while the two other gems on her ship talked. She considered how poor of a choice it would be to attack anyone while flying at several times the speed of sound at high altitude and concluded she should refrain from angering either gem. "I still respect you, Bloodstone." she remarked and Peridot finally looked back to her. She'd keep her comments to herself while the other two talked. Her gaze drifted to watch the slowly changing scenery outside of a side window, though her expression did not shift be any less displeased.
Bloodstone sighed and sat there, listening and nodding to the comments that Light was saying. All of the points were true..Octi really wasn't helping too much by being independent. She was well aware of all of this but just never had to deal with a situation like this until now
"Thank you..Peridot, that does mean a lot. And sorry I'm making things harder than they should be Light. I'm not trying to. I just..it feels like I don't have too much of a reason to go with either side just yet. Like, I understand the reasons that both Homeworld and the Crystal Gems fight but...what am I supposed to do? I'm just gonna be stuck in the middle no matter how this goes.."
Pearl placed his hands on Bloodstone shoulders "Look it doesn't matter. I would just go live on an island without gems if I were you. I don't see any reason in helping both sides if you have something against us, something that makes it harder to choose."
He looked around at a ship. He decided to talk about something with Bloodstone "Bloody... what are we actually doing here? Where is that Peridot taking us?!" Pearl started to shake "Look! I was fine in the warp pad, I know how to come back to Lady Para! Could we just land or something?" He whispered something to her "To be honest I would rather stay away from this gem... as far as possible."
Peridot had crossed her arms as she gazed out the side windows. The atmosphere rushed by and soon they passed through the clouds once more as the Roaming Eye began its descent to the its plotted destination. Anyone with a less analytical mind might see the beauty of the terrain surrounding them, but Peridot could only see that their altitude and bearing were perfectly on course. Peridot took a few steps away from the window and looked at the pearl, seeming annoyed. "You're quite impatient for this ship to land, despite going six times the speed of sound to return to the settlement of Beach City. I don't suspect you'd be so impatient if you considered the option of opening the main hatch and being sucked out. If that sounds undesirable then the twenty second wait to land might be preferable." she commented as she walked over to the main control panel. It was just a short moment before the windows outside showed the familiar scenery of the sandy shores of Beach City.
"Light...doesn't exactly have some good experiences with Peridots. Nothing against you, it's just some stuff from Homeworld I believe."
Octi leaned back and hummed softly, looking over at Light
"It's okay. Don't worry...I think you can trust her somewhat. At the very least we're going to get dropped off to safety. And as for me and my whole side situation...I'll make a decision whenever I think I have a reason to join one side and avoid the other. If it ends up being to where I'll join the Crystal Gems I'll join the Crystal Gems and...well admittedly vice versa goes for Homeworld. It's just a situation of time my friend...time's all we have"
Light was really worried. The last thing he wanted to see was him being on the opposite side od Bloody's. He didn't want to fight her... Not only because he would propably lose. He looked at her like at friend "I don't understand..."
Peridot's comments didn't help Light to calm down. He made some more steps back to be even more far away from her. "Uhhhhh..." Suddenly he felt like he touched something. It was a window. Light turned around to see the Beach City "I never thought I will miss this place so much." He felt a little bit better. Maybe it was finnaly over. But he had to keep his eyes open. This Lerdot could have some plans.
The Roaming Eye landed on the shores of Beach City with an impact devoid of grace. Inside the vessel the sudden shock couldn't be felt and barely made a noise. Peridot stepped over to a console and tapped a button before moving to stand near the rear hatch. The circular portal in the back of the ship clicked and hissed for a moment before dropping the door to make a ramp to the beach. For those attuned to it, the familiar gentle roar of the surf could be heard with the cries of seagulls. "Well then..." Peridot began as she crossed her arms and looked at Light. "--May your future encounters with peridots be a more..." she continued, thinking for a moment. Pleasant was a word she was avoiding. "--Enlightening experience." she finished, now looking to the other gem. "Bloodstone your assistance is appreciated and with my current assessment of the Galaxy Warp is complete. There is irreparable damage and I require some parts beyond my current manufacturing capabilities to fix the pieces. If you have tasks within or near this human settlement then we are free to part ways." she explained, letting a hand gesture towards the open ramp of the ship.
Bloodstone sighed and stood up, looking over at Light
"I'm just trying to stay positive, alright? It's best to keep allies where you can and..you have to learn to overcome fears in this environment"
They looked over at Peridot and nodded
"I..well, I don't know. I'm a bit of a free roamer personally so I guess I could always come with you? I'm not tied in with the Crystal Gems or Homeworld so..if nothing else I may have some parts you need."
She shrugged as she stood up
"But if not I suppose I can make my way out. I'm always by the shack on the beach if you ever need my services again. My doors are always open"
Finnaly! This Peridot opened the door. Light gasped, eh wanted to get out of this ship right now! He ignored Peridot's comment. However he would better learn how to be a better actor... And learn how to calm down in situations like this. But the important thing now was the fact that they were finnaly free!
He spoke to Bloddstone while still looking at the open door. "Yeah... sure... maybe later... We are free!"
PEarl jumped a little from excitement. He could finnaly go to Para and his other firends. But he also got annoyed by the fact that Bloodstone was ready to help his enemies even right now. He Grabed Bloodstone's hand and tried to drag her out of this Peridot ship full of Peridot things... ughhh. However Bloodstone was too heavy, she had to cooperate. Good that this gem didn't hurt them. Bloodstone still had to learn a lot about Homeworld, they couldn't just help them for no reason! Not to mention Peridots care more about work than other gems... besides their leaders.
This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
