Dark's gemstone began to reform with black anti-light. Light formed a black tongue. The head shape then became more clear. The rest of body then appearing from there. Dark fell to the ground. He appeared slightly different. He had shaggier hair which almost covered his eyes. He had a dark hood drooping from his back, marked with the broken gems logo. The rest of his body appeared almost the same, with a few tweaks here and there. Dark stood up, rubbing his eyes. "Wait, what happened? Sulfur? Blue?" Dark questioned. "Whats going on? Ugh, my entire body feels like I was stabbed thirty times." The newly formed gem looked at his old companions. What happened to Howlite? Why were they in the desert? Dark strode toward them. "So, someone gonna answer my questions? Why are we in the desert?"
Sulfur levitated near him with his hands behind his back. He looked at Dark Spinel in shock.
"What the facet?! Dark my boy! It is quite fortunate that I did not shatter you...." He said with an expression of shock. "It seems that you lost control of yourself when corrupted. You became a pitiful creature... what a tragedy."
Sulfur cleared his throat.
"Allow me to answer most of your questions. I do not know why you are here, but I came here to hunt. You were... a few seconds ago... a beast. Now you are cured fortunately. I often come here to hunt corruptions, so it is fortunate that I know your identity." Sulfur said with a nod. "You did put up a good show in battle if I do say so myself."
Blue widened her as at the sight of Dark Spinel forming from the gem, she covered her mouth with both her hands and stared at him, Sulfur shared a bit if the same expression as they both surely never knew of his corruption. Blue would hold her waist with both her hands while nodding onto what sulfur said," My Question is how exactly did you even get corrupted? Perhaps in battle? I'm curious" she'd say then folding her arms not taking her gaze away from dark's direction however she had to get these structures she made back to normal. Blue would then glow her eye in a lime green variation once more turning the shape of the two cactuses back to normal, she would then levitate the cactus back into the sand letting it simply be for now, as the glow faded away she looked back at dark.
Dark smirked as he heard that even as a corruption he put up a good fight. That showed that even as a monster he could kill gems. Dark thought back to before he was corrupted.
Well, I was out here searching for a good corruption to shatter. Then as I was patrolling the desert the earth underneath me gave way. I jumped back as this giant black creature rose out of the ground. It looked like a giant mosquito. It was so big it was almost the size of the Crystal Gem's temple. I assumed it to be a corrupted gem. So ,of course, I attacked it. I was about to stab into it when it's mouth opened up and spit some kind of sticky black goo at me, strapping me to the ground. I tried to slice through it but it was so thick. It started to crawl into my skin and... That's the last thing I can remember.
That thing was probably what corrupted me. What if this gem monster could cause corruption? If they killed it would it stop corruption?
Sulfur walked toward him and rested his own head on his hand.
"Well it must have been a corruption... quite an odd one if you ask me. All corruptions can spread the virus... but I have never heard of this method. Usually being attacked by a corruption can be enough to corrupt a gem. if a gem is cracked then they are even more easily exposed to corruption... I am sure that there are more ways for the virus to spread, yet black fluid is new to me. Perhaps we can scout near the temple for info?"
Sulfur landed near Dark Spinel.
"This beast sounds interesting to fight, but I would have to be against it. I would like more of those rebels and homeworld gems to fall under corruption at some point. If vengeance is your goal then I will not stop you, in spite of my judgement. I will always approve of vengeance."
As Blue listend to what Dark said she appeared puzzled, she knew of a few ways that a pure gem could be corrupted by a corrupted gem but they were centralized to fusion so she didn't speak on that matter. Blue would then cross her amrs behind her back and begun to think," Well I'm glad your back to normal, luckily my healing powers were enough to bring you back, so how did it feel to be a corruption, mindless, like you lost youself, yes?" she'd ask as she never experinced corruption herself before. Blue would then look over to sulfur who seemed to eager on battling the corrupted gem dark battled which was quite understandable as it did put up a fight with him.
I don't think you should be fighting that thing. If you lose you could, no, you would be corrupted. Dark shook his head. The risks are to high. If you are going to fight it, it should be a combined effort. I mean, get the rest of the broken gems to help. Everyone who can help must help. That thing is to powerful though, we must destroy it.
Dark listened to Blue's question. To tell the truth, Dark remembered almost nothing from when he was corrupted. But he did remember the feeling. The rush you got when you destroyed other corruptions. The rush you got when you killed them. That must be what it felt like to be Sulfur. Always feeling inclined to kill even the most innocent of creatures. Dark looked over at the coyote pack he destroyed. Pretty much Blue. You get so caught up in the killing spree. You just forget who you are. You become a mindless zombie, determined to kill everything in your path.
"Oh Dark, I will take serious caution. My abilities are not only excellent for attacking, but for blocking at ranged attacks. I also am quite skilled at dodging. Fighting this thing safely should be out of the question. If it truly is powerful, I can simply retreat. We may be able to plan and return once we have painted a more detailed mental picture of our adversary! I suppose that in the rare even that we need more power...there is another option."
He said, briefly glancing at Blue Quartz.
"It isn't as if I plan to charge toward the beast and fight it alone at close range. I couldn't even beat a quartz like that, and I have defeated Quartzes fused... rarely, but it has happened. The three of us could demolish this creature."
Blue would then nod her head at Dark while thinking a bit on corruption, she sure that she wasn't the ultimate cure as sometimes her healing only lasted for about a few hours and resulted to the gem coming back to its corrupted form however in other instances such as this one she fully heal a gem from the mindless state.
Blue would then look back to the group," I see, well then, if you do plan to fight that thing one day I'd like a sample of that black substance the gem emitted, I could analyze it through some test an figure a logical theory based upon it.. I might join in this battle as well as it's true, we all have our fair share of unique abilities however I may only be able to use my combat skills at times like I did with that Fire Agate back in the warps, luckily we were by water though so series of plant life were under water to help aid me" she'd say while looking up at the dusk sky as the sand storm became stronger over the few minutes of there dialogue.
Well, if we are going to fight it, I suggest not today. These are not the best conditions for a fight. And it will take me a little while to get back into the swing of things. We should probably be going though, the sandstorm is starting to pick up. What direction is the warp-pad?
Dark was anxious to get out of that place. That fly was probably nearby. And he couldn't become corrupted again. It was terrible. He lost himself in it. Unable to think of anything but the thirst. The thirst to shatter gems. Of course, he had always wanted to do that. But when he was a corruption, it was the only thing he could think about. Not survival. Certainly not friends. Just the pure hatred for everything he could see.
"I second this plan Blue Quartz." Sulfur said with a smile. "I believe we should prepare out battle stations for when the beast arrives. Then we can stick it out before it has a chance to flee! I would very much like for an examination of the fluid."
He apparently had not noticed the brewing sandstorm.
"Hm yes I agree... a sandstorm blocking our vision would definitely not be an asset to this affair..." Sulfur said, cross his arms. "Let's make our way to the warp pad. I saw it on the way in here. Come this way..."
Sulfur swiftly darted across the sand, coming across a small dune, about three feet high. He groaned and brushed the sand off of it with his foot. Surely enough, the warp pad lied underneath.
Blue was slightly on edge as these conditions could prove to be very difficult for us to battle in if a enemy approaches, she then turned her gaze upon Dark then onto the Sulfur in which then she looked of into the distant sandy winds," Whose to say we wont just some how run into this beast miraculously..yet even I doubt that , In probability it's more of a 50/50 chance but I suspect if we get to the warp-pad carefully through this potential sand storm our odds of survival shall be increased.." she said.
Blue would then smile at Sulfur slightly as he seemed himself again, it as like she met the old sulfur who she did missions with from time to time. As Blue would follow Sulfur in his direction she lifted up her dress alongside the ends while walking through the soft sand," Hmm.. it's getting worse.. if we don't get there in time the warp could be completely covered with sand causing a bit of difficulty in our search.." she said while then folding her arms looking back to see if Dark was following along with them at a decent pace or greater.
Dark paused and looked back at the sandstorm closing in rapidly. Dark the ran swiftly after Sulfur in the opposite direction of the sandstorm. He was in a hurry to get out of the desert. He was a bit shook up after his last encounter with the giant beast. As he came to the dune he slowed down considerably, allowing Blue to catch up to them. He would then walk up the dune to Sulfur. It's a good thing we got here so quickly. I think even gems would have a hard time navigating through this desert in a sandstorm. The started to howl louder as Dark shielded his eyes from the incoming sand. He would then step onto the warp-pad, waiting for Blue to arrive at the crystal pad.
"I agree, let's depart while we still can." Sulfur said, warping away with both of his companions. When they arrived they were inside the Broken Gem castle. Sulfur brushed sand off of his body and shook his hair to get sand out of it. A lady wearing a maid outfit walked by. Sulfur snapped his fingers and she turned to him suddenly with a look of shock. "Pearl! Get over here at once!"
"Y-yes sir! " She squeaked, looking at the floor as she approached him.
"I want you to vacuum this rug, don't let a grain of sand remain." He said, turning toward his allies. "As for you two, do you want to see my shower rooms? That sandstorm could have gotten sand in our clothes and hair."
As they went to the warp-pad much sand did attached onto Blue's clothing along with her long sky blue curly hair, as the warp activated she then descend on a familiar area, Sulfur's castle. As Blue was inside his castle, her eyes widened to be of surprise by the human again he called a pearl, she then look down at the sand that came off him along with sulfur giving orders to the maid to clean it up using some sort of device enabled to do so. Blue would then nod towards sulfur as he offered to let her use the shower room, she didn't want to be dirty and just put a pile of sand all around his castle," Yes, perhaps an escort or you can just point to me to the direction I must go to this room."

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.

*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
