.....How long? What had she been doing....? She unfolded her stiff limbs, ending the curled resting position she'd maintained for stars knew how long, and looked around.
In the crystal temple. In her special place at the heart.
Her thoughts felt fuzzy, slow. Like mechanisms turning all at the wrong time, all too sluggishly. She rubbed her head, gritting her teeth, and took to the air, flying out of the temple's inner bowels, through the doors, and out onto the beach surrounding the city.
The sun felt good on her back, and the current of the air and brightness of her surroundings cleared Meta's thoughts somewhat. Nothing like this had happened in centuries. Was she slipping again? You know you are. The voice was her own-- quiet and subdued and matter of fact --and she knew it to be correct.

The Mad Scientist sensors were off the charts once a certain gem had re-awaken from it's deep slumber, a gem that neither The Mad Scientist, Obsidian had met before. "Impressive.." The Mad Scientist mumbled, taping the table with her fingers in rhythm-like state, The Mad Scientist was just checking any nearby energy readings that could help her with future projects or data. The Mad Scientist stumbling across this discovery was as lucky she can get so without a second to spare, she sent in her droids. She didn't want to take a risk of exposing her ship and herself to anyone who might've stumbled across this off the charts readings. The Mad Scientist had deployed a trio of floating automatons to seek out the abnormality energy readings in a beach area.
It took awhile for them to reach their destination for the Automatons. Once they arrived, they began their search splitting up to find the source of the signal better.
Meta's thoughts were beginning to fall into place, her memory to come back to her, as she noticed the drones hovering above the beach, looking, scanning.... For what? Or whom?
Anger flashed at the back of her consciousness, caustic and sullen. She had lost herself after Alex and that heap of slag Amon had fused. The bits and pieces were still coming back, but she knew that much. Remembered the upstart's.... Infuriating attitude. His arrogance, The way he'd polluted Alexandrite, just as she feared.
Meta's lips twisted into a scowl, and she eyed the drones cautiously, dismissing her effort to remember more for the moment as she gradually approached one in a slow, probing spiral, energy at the read incase it proved hostile.

One of the automatons that Meta was slowly crept up on had it's radar suddenly picked up a large energy source close by, unaware that it could be an attack in the first place. The automaton made no hesitation to move in the direction where the source had came from. Meanwhile the other two that were separated haven't changed their planned routes, not alarmed from one of the other automaton's sudden change in route.
Meanwhile at The Mad Scientist ship
"I have to be conserving of my droids now... I have just a limited supply left before i officially run out of Homeworld tech automatons.. Which could spell disaster for me and my future.." The Scientist simply looked at the monitor, overseeing what her three chosen automatons were seeing so far.
A ship sailed through the cosmos smoothtly, a single Gem on board. However, this Gem was a fusion, a fusion of three. The fusion had left on their own volition. While they thought the conflict between Homeworld and Crystal Gems wasn't good in the long run, they also knew that the Diamonds would never allow a fusion to exist, and they didn't want to be forced to split apart. Contrary to how others might perceive them, they truly cared about each other, and that sentiment manifested itself in Tiger's Eye
Then the alarm sounded. The ship was malfunctioning. Tiger's Eye rushed to the control panel, and pressed some buttons, hoping to prevent the ship from crashing. All she managed to do was slow its descent enough to prevent the crash from being too dangerous. The ship crashed, but the impact wasn't enough for Tiger's Eye to poof. It still gave her some amount of damage, though.
Tiger's Eye stepped out of the ship. She was a bit dizzy.
Meta eyed the drone for a good long moment, the image of its metallic surface reflected in her pensive green eyes, then raised a hand which smoldered with dangerous heat, causing the air around it to waver.
"This is a restricted fly-zone..."
She reduced half the drone to a splatter of smoking rubbish and molten alloy, and was moving in to investigate when she heard roar and whine of the ship's approach far above her, and cocked her head, the drones falling away from the forefront of her attention for the moment.
"What in the stars now?"
She queried rhetorically, eyes trained on the source of the noise as the listing ship became visible, coming in at an angle and plowing into the shallow waters several hundred meters from her, kicking up a great fountain of sand and gravel and mud and shattered rock as it ground to a halt.
She eyed the Gem-- no GEMS --it was a fusion, cautiously as they stepped out.

The automaton's where on high alert, sending a signal to Obsidian ship, they decided to follow protocol which was to head where the automaton was destroyed and if any gems were near the site, attack them automatically. It wasn't too long for them to reach where their mechanically brethren was destroyed and they spotted Meta, without realizing the danger they are in once they have engaged a battle with this particular gem, they attempted to send shocking electricity at Meta, if connected, it would deal some damage.
Meanwhile Obsidian was shocked to see at her monitor, one of her automatons gone without anything picked up on it's visual. This piqued the interest of The Mad Scientist even more now, she even considered sending more automatons and if things got real serious, she would send her new additions the Stelleria drones.
Meta's attention was ripped from the new arrival by the appearance of two more identical drones. Face set in a scowl, Meta jerked upwards, avoiding the crackling arcs of electricity, and, with a gesture that summoned a pulse of heat unlikely to be matched anywhere but in the outer atmosphere of a star, caused it to pop like a fragile bubble, components flash-vaporized or melted, internal fluid components boiled, expanding rapidly.
All that remained was a small cloud of smoke.
Doing evasive manuevers to avoid further attacks, Meta angled back around, dipped low, forming a blade of plasma-energy around one of her hands, and bisected the last remaining drone at extreme speed, either half dropping to the damp sand to sizzle and spark, internal components exposed and glowing red-hot from the heat transferred in the green Gem's blow.

The sudden destruction brought by that unknown yet powerful gem intrigued The Mad Scientist, she ordered a new set of drones to go and capture the gem. Ten more automatons exited out from the ship and proceeded to head toward where their previous mechanical brethren had blown up.
"Pearl, bring the ship closer to the beach but no to close for that gem to spot us. I want to deploy our new assets right now" She smiled, pressing buttons on the pad next to her she had activated her newest creations. The Stelleria drones, unlike the automatons these were bipedal and carried stronger weapons than the automatons.
While the stelleria drones were activating one by one, the ship began to move to the beach but in a different route, hopefully to avoid meta seeing the ship.
Recognizing that the dazed new-arrival could be in danger if Meta stayed in the same location, she made the decision to fly northwards up the beach, further away from both the Crystal Temple and this vulnerable new Gem.
After moving around a kilometer north she stopped, figuratively planting her feet.
Something was.... Getting closer. Meta's ability to sense energy-signatures precluded Stealth on Obsidian's part.
But the ship, Meta momentarily realized, could not be engaged or dealth with until the reinforcements it had submitted were first destroyed.
Meta's piercing green eyes tracked like the range-finder on a precision rifle as the ten new, bipedal drones emerged from the ship, and came bounding in her direction. Her hands curled into gloved fists, and greenish flame danced around them.
Magnetite had been walking down the shoreline. Every now and than a shell that caught his eye he would pick up smiling. The suns rays beat down on his head, he liked it, it felt nice. He saw a gem fly overhead unsure of who it was or why they were here.
"What the..." He would state watching it fly as his gem on his left cheek shimmered in the sun. He would follow behind it, walking. Not running as to not disturb it. It could be hostile.

The new drones marched out from the ship as it was hovering just above the ground. Each drone came equipped (or made with) one blaster and blade, replacing what would be the hands of all ten of these drones. Meanwhile the ten automatons circled around the new recruits, scanning around for any nearby gems to attack.
"Go, find the gem who killed my previous scouts and do what you must." A voice spoke out from the ship, the voice was cold, lifeless, and with a tint of ego and the voice belonged none other than Obsidian who was watching the events unfold within the safety of the ship as she watched her drones marched forward, scanning to find the culprit who destroyed the scouts earlier ago.
Meta made no effort whatsoever to evade the drones. On the contrary, she flew at the foremost of them with a harsh battle-cry,
The drone blasted at her, Meta swooped out of the electrical arc's path and dive-bombed the automaton. It brought its blade to bear, but Meta blazed with fierce-some heat, and her grasp came up under the blade and clamped around the mechanical arm that wielded it. Metal and polymer sizzled and liquified. Servomotors exploded, electromagnets shattered.
The arm came away in Meta's grip, and she hurriedly turned it on its former owner, cutting away its gun-arm as it attempted to fire again, then impaling the drone with its own blade.
The other drones were upon her now, and three had circled to fire upon her without merely hitting their destroyed sibling. Meta blasted one drone to molten slag with a gesture and a blinding ray of atomic plasma. The explosion stunned the drone closest to it, but the third drone had the distance to juke out of the blast's path, and promptly opened fire on Meta.
Gripping the dead drone she had impaled with its own blade, Meta spun with a grunt and lobbed its remains, bowling the third drone over as the second recovered.
Meta was on it like a lightning bolt, before it could get more than a single, poorly-aimed shot off.
Her sharp, armored knee-pad, blazing with solar energy, smashed directly into the robonoid's center of mass, and polymer-alloy plating blistered, cracked, and caught fire from the searing impact. Meta gave a shove, taking them both to the ground and avoiding the weaponsfire of two other approaching drones in the process, and thrust a superheated hand INTO the drone.
Meta was not a strong Gem, but the energy eminating from her hand was so intense, the material the machine was composed of boiled and spattered like butter touched by a red-hot knife, and Meta's hand went clean through the machine, eviscerating its internal components and setting its insides ablaze.
As Meta stood up from the kill, so did the drone she'd knocked down with its own fallen ally. Meta blasted a hole clean through its body with a bolt of solar light. It teetered for a moment, limbs twitching, then fell to the sand and smoldered.
With four of the duel-wielding robonoids down and six remaining and closing fast on her position, Meta rocketed skyward as roughly five opened fire on her.
From on high, Meta rapidly swooped to the side and strafed wide around the area of the battle to avoid more electrical blasts. As she came close to one drone, she lashed out with a hand blazing with white-hot flame, and destroyed its gun-arm, dipping low and stirring up a massive cloud of dust from the sand with her other arm.
As the drones switched tracking-modes to find her, Meta made use of their short hesitation by firing through the dust and blasted a fift drone to smithereens, leaving five operational and only four with functional ranged weapons.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption" is being treated like a virus due to lack of info about it on the show.
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
