The Kindergarten is home to some of the strangest, most twisted creatures Earth has to offer. The deep ravines and wide mesas blight the earth for miles, carved by machines long dead. This place both foul and dark is nowhere to go for a nice stroll, and certainly nowhere to get lost. The abominations that patrol the caverns as their home are brutal and vicious, harming anyone and anything that comes into their line of sight.
Several months ago, a purple gem made his way through the ravines, hunting those he considered lesser beings, both for his own amusement and to gain strength. The longer he stayed, the harder he found it to leave, despite getting ever so weaker from the lack of rest and constant combat. He had walked for days, weeks, until finding a creature he was unable to best, his gem stuffed into the wall of the Kindergarten. For months he has lied dormant, protruding from the ravine. Here the corrupt gem waits to be released, unable to reform until pulled from the wall and free of the rock that has held him for so long.
The Kindergarten was a place that Sulfur felt the least alone. The few inhabitants reminded him of himself. Unsure of what their purpose was, but still bent on destroying other gems or infecting them. Sulfur did like corruptions, but he also hunted them. Like a butterfly to an enthusiastic child with a net, corruptions were fascinating to Sulfur, yet fun to destroy as well. Unfortunately that day he had heard no monsters. He had decided that it was about time to leave, there wouldn't be any hunting today.
It was then that he saw an odd purple gem wedged into a wall of rock. He wondered what it was like. Was it a corrupt gem, was it some disgusting homeworld bourgeoisie? He would just have to find out. At any rate, he would enjoy poofing it and bringing it home. He reached and grabbed the gem, trying to pull it free.

The Mad Scientist was beginning to be desperate, she was losing resources fast due to most gems attacking her and resulting losing most of her automatons and materials. She had at most 50 automatons in reserve at the moment, she had send her three automatons to investigate the Kindergarten to look for possible resources which included gems or corrupted monsters. The Mad Scientist began to worry about these creatures not much is known about them.
which was why it worried her so, remembering the time she had spent with Zircon, capturing and collecting data to help further understand what lies inside the "corruption", so far until now, the results of the research are still to be made. Nevertheless for now, The Mad Scientist stood in her ship which landed not to far from the kindergarten, watching what her automatons were viewing from her monitor.
After so long, Spinel could feel something trying to pull him from the stone that has held him for so long. In practically no time at all, he could feel himself break away from the rock, and he attempted to materialize. His gem rose into the air and began to glow, and as it shone, the light flickered and the humanoid that had formed began to shift. For a small amount of time, it seemed that it would turn into one of those corrupt monsters, but the form stabilized itself. The glowing stopped, and down fell a purple gem.
He landed on his knees and quickly rose to his feet, stretching his arms and neck as if he needed to. He opened his eyes and looked to the gem that had freed him. He wasn't Homeworld, but didn't appear to be a Crystal Gem either. He looked the stranger in the eyes, not saying a word, sifting through the personality of the one who freed him. Spinel waited for him to speak, and continued to read the green gem.
Sulfur looked at the form. As it expanded he grinned. This was a monster, and a tough one at that! Perhaps this hunt wasn't a failure. However, to his great disappointment the gem reverted to a normal form. He was confused, yet also annoyed. He glared at the gem, unsure what to make of this transformation. The gem then started to stare at him creepily.
"You can stop that." Sulfur said bluntly, levitating about a foot off of the floor and examining the gem. "What are you... a beast or an average gem? Also... with whom are you affiliated? Homeworld? The Rebels? You might as well start speaking. I could put you back into that wall of rock. Perhaps you are fond of it yes?"

The three automatons scouted the area, scanning over small and large holes alike. The automatons' job was to find resources or gems and that is they are bound to do, all three of the automatons separated from each other to cover more ground. One of them managed to find injectors while the other one continued to search for resources. The injectors could be scrapped for wires and metals or whatever they contained.
Meanwhile the third automaton managed to pick up on it's radar two gem appeared. The automaton shifted it's attention to where the source was coming from, making its way there towards Spinel and Sulfur. The Mad Scientist did not notice that the third automaton had picked up two gems on it's radar as she continued to watch the monitor.
"You can stop that." Spinel blinked; the gem was right. Spinel had all the information he needed. The Gem was levitating, possibly in an attempt to increase its appeared height. It started asking tedious questions, just wasting his time. "What are you... a beast or an average gem? Also... with whom are you affiliated? Homeworld? The Rebels? You might as well start speaking. I could put you back into that wall of rock. Perhaps you are fond of it yes?"
Spinel looked down to his uniform for a moment, thousands of years outdated, and looked back at the stranger for a moment longer before answering. "Just an average gem." It started making threats seemingly for no reason, as if attempting to assert its dominance. Spinel stared into the gem's eyes for a short while longer, gathering the last of the information he could. "It's none of your concern." With the conversation seemingly over to him, Spinel began looking around, trying to figure out exactly where he was in the Kindergarten.
Sulfur watched the creature's reaction. Could it speak? Perhaps the beast was unable to speak. The beast then looked down at itself. Mute or not the beast could definitely have seen him talking. Sulfur landed and snapped his fingers at the beast. The beast then answered his questions, without any definitive answers. Sulfur scowled and didn't retaliate. If the beast wanted to keep it's identity secret it was either against both the crystal gems and homeworld, or it was a rebel who was afraid of him. Both possibilities nullified any purpose of attacking the gem. However as the gem started to walk away from him he grit his teeth.
It had just been saved by him but treated him as if he were just some rock in the kindergarten. He decided to ignore it. He then thought that he heard a noise, dismissing the thought quickly.

The automaton found the two gems, it floated about with no proceeding orders yet. The machine knew it was foolish to charge in head on without any of it's companions near it's proximity so it commenced it's next order that was programmed into it's chip. Await orders from The Mad Scientist.
"Mhm..." The Mad Scientist could only mutter as she looked at the two gems from the third automaton view, she could dispatch more automatons and swarm them but that would be a waste on her part and going in by herself with a couple of her new stelleria drones is just asking for disaster. For now she would just let the automaton record any information that these two gems could say, after all Data is important.
Strangely, Spinel couldn't recognize where he was in the Kindergarten. Looking around, there were no landmarks that he could recognize to help point him towards the warp pad. As he looked around, he noticed something strange in the distance. Floating above the ground, remaining still in the background, he could see the device. It was too far to identify, and so Spinel stared at it, trying to find its eyes. He believed it was a corrupt, but after being unable to look into it, he decided it would be best to leave it alone.
Looking around once more, trying to get an idea of where he was, he turned back to the green gem that took him out of the rock wall. He sifted through the memories of the sulfur gem, getting an idea about where it traveled from the warp pad. Using its past, he knew the way out, and began to follow the way that lead Sulfur to him.
Sulfur noticed that the gem started complacent, but then seemed as if it wanted to leave. It turned toward Sulfur, prompting a confused look, but then started to leave the kindergarten. Sulfur wondered what could have caused the reaction. He started to consider that the sound he heard earlier may have had a source. He had noticed the gem looking in a certain direction before making this decision. Sulfur looked the same way that the monster had. He thought that he saw something, but it may have just been one of the holes. At any rate, he started to walk in that direction, curious as to what had caused the other gem to leave. It could have been a sort of powerful monster. Sulfur hoped so. He was here for a hunt after all.

The Mad Scientist managed to get a good look at both of the gems that managed to overlook the automaton from her monitor. She sighed, thanking the diamonds that they didn't attack it yet, she needed more data before initiating any attacks on these two.
The automaton floated from afar, leaving some distance from the two corrupted gems and itself. The automaton proceeded to follow the two from a distance, recording any conversation they might have and small details such as their walking patterns as such. "It's the same Sulfur from before, strange. Last time i recall the sulfur said he couldn't move anywhere... strange" The Mad Scientist talked to herself, pondering the ideas and possibilities of how this gem was healed, could it been another gem or perhaps something else that The Mad Scientist didn't know.
After having walked some distance from where he was before and seeing that he wasn't being followed, Spinel sighed quietly and looked around. Seeing that nobody was around, he stretched his neck and arms again. He didn't like relying on the memories of those he saw as inferior to him.
Knowing he was, for the most part, alone, Spinel's form brightly shone a bright white and began to reform. His arms and legs disappeared and his body began to grow until reaching a serpentine appearance. Once complete, the light dissipated and the large snake used its improved speed and agility to force its way up the side of the mesa. Once on top of the canyon, Spinel began to look around, trying to find anything he would recognize and lead him to the way out of the Kindergarten.
Sulfur continued to approach the object. As he got closer it looked less and less like a giant monster, yet it was floating, so it couldn't be some random hole. He continued to jog, not quite running. He didn't know how fast this thing was, nor did he have any desire to waste energy. It was a few seconds later that he realized how far exactly it was. However, he was gaining distance.
Soon he thought he could see it clearly. He slid to a stop, putting one foot in front of the other. He was about ten meters from whatever it was. He crossed his arms and looked at the object, he had not seen something like it before. It was definitely not a gem mutant.

The automaton ignored sulfur, seeing that Spinel was missing and that were was data about sulfur it decided to focus on Spinel. Moving past by Sulfur, the automaton managed to steal the last moments of Spinel transforming into a serpentine-like creature. "Interesting..." The Mad Scientist raised a brow at this, she is now 100% focused on this corruption than sulfur. The Mad Scientist ordered the other automaton (that hasn't found anything) to keep an eye on the serpent creature from bird's eye view.
The one by the ground level continued to watch the corrupt serpent creature from a distance, not wanting to expose itself or any of it's mechanical brethren. Meanwhile the automaton that was viewing the creature from the sky was recording new-raw data for Obsidian to process and study it.
Melody: how are you doing? Are you going to make a character in here?

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
