“I can't beleive” BOOM “I was defeated” BOOM “By a defect!” BOOM.
In the early hours in the morning just as the sun is beginning to rise, a lone quartz gem is taking out her pent up frustration on a group of rocks, shattering them as if they were a Diamond. As the dust began to clear, the warm glow of the morning sun Illuminated the sky and revealed the gem to be none other than Prasiolite; the demolitionist gem stranded on earth after hijacking a ship and fleeing Homeworld for good.
At the top of the Sky Spire, she could be found taking some time to reflect on past events, while forcing herself to get stronger In preparation for a rematch. Although exhausted, Prasiolite continued to exercise her abilities and take out her anger on her surroundings while hoping that something will at least occur as a result of her labour. She was only prevented from destroying the remnants of the ancient gem Spire when she'd crumbled most of the boulders around, and didn't want to destroy the spire itself due to the many gems that admire it. Rather than moving to a new location and fighting there, however, Prasiolite had decided to stay in the clouds and attempt to calm herself down. Never had she stopped to take in the sights of the Spire, and with the sun just coming up over the horizon her rage began to dwindle, even if it was only slightly.

Even the boom boom boom of the frustrated quartz far over head echoed through the sky for a ways, but down at ground level, below the clouds, the sound was all but lost on the Heavy Scout that lay in the grassy field, with her back aginst a tree trunk that had broken off near its roots, and now lay across the grassy expanse in such a way that had, at the time of its discovery an hour or so ago by Carbide, simply seemed to shout out.. beg even.. to be napped against.
So that's just what the gem was doing, or at least HAD been doing until a chunky of rocky debris, sent sailing by the Parisolite, cruied right off the edge of the sky temple and fell.. and fell and fell and fell until it landed with a splintering crunch, as it bounced off the fallen tree trunk a few feet from the slumbering gem, and rolled down the hill..
"What!? Who?! What was that?" Her gaze fell on the chunk of rock that had settled a few good paces away, and then on the size of the divit that it had taken out of the trunk.. and then up at the low hanging clouds in the sky. She knew what was up there, the Sky Temple, and that meant that there must be something going on up there, if pieces of debris were ending up down here..
Rising to her feet she scooped up the small mellon sized chunk of rock "Well then little friend, what say we go see about returning you home, and finding out who sent you down here to interrrupt my nap anyway."
Her boots bit into the ground as she dashed off to the warp pad at the center of the grassy expanse, which hummed to life and with a vivid cyan beam of light, shot the Scout up into the mountains, high above the clouds in the valley, and deposited her at the pad across a chasm that lead to the temple.
A short hike and a series of totally awesome and daring bullet jumpt later, that had lead her across the chasm, Carbide was nearing the top of the winding staircase that lead to the summit, when she hear the sounds of someone or something moving about up there, footsteps on the polished marble tile stones.
As her head crested the staircase, she saw a large green gem that looked to be in the process of coming down from some sort of tantrum.. lovely.. big, green, and in the mood to punch things..
Taking hold of the chunk of rock she had brought back up with her, she sends it in a gentle underhand toss, arcing towards the other gem, falling short with a bit of a crack against the tiles and rolling to a gentle stop, near her feet.
She passes the top stair and stands near a pillar and crosses her arms idly and calls out in a calm voice that has a catty overtone and a soft gravel in her tone of voice, and an arched eyebrow visible under her mauve visor..
Sulfur warped into the spire with a book under his arm. He wore a green hoodie, shorts, and he had glasses on his eyes. His hair was also tucked into a ponytail that had a barrett keeping it in place. Finding a quiet place to read was difficult, he would normally have decided to read at the castle, but his wing was being cleaned, besides, it was nice to get out of the place.
His book was titled 'I am a single Father.', a book he never thought a gem would have to read. He skipped across the stones that were suspended in the air. As he leapt toward the largest floating stone that supported the spire he performed one large leap. He did a somersault during this leap, for no reason, but landed gracefully. He used his levitating abilities to land silently on the grass, one foot behind the other. However, he heard a voice from inside. A voice that he recognized. The perfect gem to come across when looking for peace and quiet, the noisiest gem he had met, Carbide. This gem was a bit boisterous, but at the same time he liked to believe that she held secrets that would interest him. Morion had recommended her for aid after all. Sulfur leaned against the doorway that lead to the stairs and prepared to listen to their conversation.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
