The gem materialized next to the ancient ships used to come to this planet long ago. "Oh boy.." he sighed, looking at their damaged state, they were ransacked and picked clean. "I hope nobody cared about any of the scribe terminals enough to dismantle all of them... oh who am I kidding... most gems don't even know that scribes exist! They probably wouldn't know where to look for our hardware." he muttered to himself, carefully approaching the first ship. If this place were anything like the Sea Spire, it could have more of the dangerous corruption. "At least... if there isn't a big nest of it I might be okay..." he said, with one nervous glance around the tranquil setting. He was standing on top of the first ship, with the others in view, where he materialized his short spear. Slowly he condensed more and more crystalline material onto it to make it more durable, creating an effective prybar, with which he tried to remove one of the outer panels.

It was a bland day for Pyrite. Whatever was here before wasn't now, and her hope of finding it was gone. She looked around. "This is certainly gem tech," she thought to herself, glancing around at the various bits of old stuff all around. "Wonder if there's anything worth salvaging here." She believed herself alone, looking around as she walked forward with her bare feet kicking pebbles or overturning a rock every now and then. Finally, she was within close range to what she assumed was some sort of storage area, when she heard something she didn't expect. Another person. "Hello? Who's there?" she shouted, to the nigh-empty space around her, pulling out a glaive and getting ready to throw it if need be. It was bizarre. This place was empty, there shouldn't have been anyone here. "Hmph, I should be careful..."
"Oh, did I just hear someone?" Mica asked quietly, looking up from trying to pry open the panel. "Just a Gem scriibe!" he called out trying not to sound menacing. "Maybe if rebels don't think I'm dangerous they won't attack..." he whispered, leaning the prybar on his shoulder and hopping down off of the ship. "Hello? Are... are you looking for spare parts too or anything?" he called, creeping around the perimiter of the ship to see if he couldn't find whom he had heard earlier.
Then it donned on him that they might be inside, the gem scribe peeked around the corner of the entrance to see if he could glimpse whoever was also here and determine if they would be a threat to him at all.

"Scout automaton, return at once." Obsidian commanded one of her automatons from her data-pad. Today, Obsidian needed to salvage tech from ship ruins in order to maintain her projects operational, she was running low of materials to work with. So Obsidian had her ship landed far away from this area and brought along 1 scout variant, 3 shield variants of automatons, and 4 stelleria Drones. All which Obsidian needed to protect herself in case of incoming attackers.
Today was also the day where she beings the mission to try joining the Crystal gems but to her luck she couldn't mind any gems that were affiliated with the Crystal Gems. A low hum came from the small circular automaton as it made its way back to Obsidian.

Pyrite looked around a bit, hearing someone else once again before heading back towards the exit, catching a glimpse of Mica. "W-wha? Who's there?" she yelled, poised to throw her glaives. "Friend or foe?" She was slightly afraid. It'd been months since she'd even seen another gem, and she assumed she was wanted or... or something. She'd been forgotten here. Perhaps she was wrong and this was the assassin sent to capture her. Maybe split her part, or even worse, to shatter her. She shuddered as she continued inching forward with her weapons in each hand, her long yellow hair occasionally brushing the wall she had been essentially attached to. "I-I know you're there! If you're here to kill me, then come out and DO IT!" she yelled, internally very scared and not at all ready for a fight.
"Oh woah hang on haaang on!" the scribe called, jumping back, and then leaping on top of the ship. "I'm just here looking for a scribe terminal I don't know who you are!" he explained, shouting. Just then he also noticed a drone humming around "oh snacks" he whispered before jumping back down. "We maybe have got to hide though! I see drones and I don't know if they're set to attack or something" he shouted in a loud whisper into the ship.
He leaned back to scan the skies again for any sign of the drones. "Can I come in there? I promise I'm not one to kill gems!" he hissed, making his prybar change form into his short spear and buckler while frantically peeking around for more signs of the drones.

"Oh, well uh... alright then. Do we really have to hide? I doubt drones would be all that hard to take down." She looks around, seemingly unfazed by this while internally essentially exploding. She still raises her glaives ready to throw while she merely just kind of watches the outside for this drone that Mica was talking about, before realizing that it was probably a good idea to just shapeshift into a rock. "Okay, nevermind, I think hiding'd be a good idea. I could turn into a hollow rock and then you could like, hide inside me or something, that'd work, right?" She looked to the other gem, an unsure expression on her face as she dissipated her glaives. She didn't know quite what to do at this moment, and hoped Mica would be better at planning.
Mica smiled, and vanished his own weapons before taking a step just inside the door of the ship. "Thank you, here..." he said, shapeshifting into a panel to mimic the appearance of the opening being closed. He then tipped his head out of the fake wall into the ship, illuminating it softly with the glow of the crystal at the back of his head. "I'm pretty sure the scouts saw me... so I don't know how long we'll have to hide here..." he explained quietly to Pyrite "...I haven't encountered any rebels yet... but I don't know what they'll do if they find me... we scribes are not important for fighting usually... so maybe I could talk some sense into them... my name is mica, who are you?".
Bloodstone sighed as she walked through the jungle, coming up on another group of abandoned ships
"Amazing how much you find in this planet, I swear.."
As the taller berserker walked up, hearing signs of commotion. At the very least she could make out the tell-tale sounds of a drone.
"Hm...maybe it's time I experiment a little bit with my other ability."
Blood tapped into her rarely-used shadow powers and took the stealth approach, walking up to the ship that Mica and Pyrite were in. They were unaware of Obsidian's presence but the drone sounds sort of gave a hint. Octi would walk up to the ship, being careful as to not give herself away while coming up slowly

"I'm Pyrite. Ex-spy extraordinaire. Nice to meet you, Mica." She said, nodding to him before crouching down and shapeshifting into something that can hide easier than a big yellow woman. She smiled to herself, then looked around placidly, not knowing quite what to do at that moment, and decided to meditate. Her thoughts wandered too much for her to remain meditating, so she just sorta looked over at the panel that looked like Mica and chuckled. "You make for some good scenery, Mica." Whatever that was supposed to mean, she thought it was funny, and laughed at it amongst herself for a bit there. The rather well camouflaged rock went back to being silent, being almost entirely indistinguishable from an actual rock, as was her power.

Of course the scout reported some small activity in the area but however, it wasn't a lot that would create an alarm for Obsidian to either set the ship drone's to attack or retreat. "Scout 43, protocol 12 now." she ordered, the drone flew up to the sky, where it can provide a bird's eye view of the situation. Obsidian was always on the defensive when she is always moving forward, if some gems where foolish enough to surprise attack her or come out from hiding, the automaton would alert Obsidian, simple as that.
She moved forward, her shield automatons floating around her, along with heavy foot-steps from her stelleria drones where a new type of machines that Obsidian made, they were the same size of most (regular sized) gems, they had one arm completely replaced with either a melee or ranged weapon while the other arm was completely normal. They bore a triangle shaped head with one glowing blue eye. They were like golems but shorter than an actual golem.
Pyrite seemed to be hidden pretty well, and Mica was getting curious if they were being approached on, his head melted back into the wall he had formed so he could peek on the outside to see where anyone was. In this moment he thought to himself "I think we might be ok here... it doesn't sound like corruption... but I can't tell if those drones were from rebels who might atack me." while glaring in every direction he could for a clue as to who was coming.
The gem decided to sit and wait until something more eventful happened, or until he could be sure the danger had passed... unless this would take a while. His mind traced paths back to the warp pad in case he had to make a quick escape, this spy would probably be able to take care of herself, he might even give her enough distraction as a cover if he had to try to escape.
Bloodstone sighed, not seeing anyone as they came out from the shadows, taking two chains out as a precaution
"Guess it must have been my imagination..perhaps I should explore in the first place."
The last time the big gem was in one of the old Homeworld ships it was...well it had been interesting to say the least. Hopefully this one didn't come packed with monsters.
"Hello? Is anyone in here? Thought I heard someone.."
Blood walked around the insides of the ship, standing at the entrance. She was unaware of Pyrite and Mica, having walked past their hiding spots while..well while in her own hiding spot for the most part.
"Maybe I could get some tech to bring back! Yeah.."

Unfortunately for both parties, the scout drone that was peering from bird's eye view was not returning anytime soon. As Obsidian moved ahead, the drone above her moved along with her. She continued her walk with her drones, Obsidian began to delve into her mind, thinking of the recent events that she had dealt with.
The question she had been thinking this entire time. Why the scientist gem herself? Why did these events only occurred to what seems to be only herself? Was she simply unlucky or was it because of fate decided to be cruel to Obsidian. Would this have happened to any other gem as well, the very same events reoccurring to another gem. Would it shift them into the type of gem Obsidian is?
Obsidian has clearly deep into her thoughts, no longer aware of her surroundings.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
