Mica slunk carefully through the desolate honeycomb of exit-holes in the Kindergarten. The place felt creepy to him, but mainly because he wasn't usually involved with documenting anything like this, but it was one of the few warp pads that still worked. He carefully peeked around the machinery, and into the far-off shadows to make sure he wasn't going to walk straight into a trap or corrupted gem.
He came upon something unsettling, gem equipment shattered and ripped into fragments, scattered around a crater. This in and of itself didn't seem peculiar, except that the ground underneath the impact had a large exit hole. Mica grew a little nervous, but peeked around to assure he was alone before creeping towards the hole to investigate.
He could see flat, tire-sized footsteps trailing away from it, and decided that if they were not fresh tracks the wind would have eroded them away by now. Curious, he tracked down the footprints that lead away from the Kindergarten. He was uneasy, the steps didn't seem to make much of an impact in the ground for how big and heavy the gem must have been, almost as if it walked incredibly slowly and gently. He followed the tracks down a long narrow canyon, which ended in an abrupt corner. He was face-to-face with a gargantuan gem he could not recognize.
"Please..... leave me alone...." breathed the towering figure softly. Her voice was low, and incredibly delicate like a breeze caressing a panflute.
The gem looked like she was on fire, except the flames moved placidly, and then flickered again when she spoke "...I know I do not... belong...".
"N- no! It's okay.... who are you?"
"I... am Meteorite...." the hulking gem softly proclaimed as if sighing. A lazy and gentle smile crept across her face. "...and I make... things..."
Meteorite was formed when a rock from outer space crashed into Kindergarten equipment, burying the smouldering results deep in the earth. The minerals in the meteorite melted and absorbed the living gem substance she crashed into, polluting them into a unique, new mixture encased in cosmic alloys. After some time, the resultant gem burst forth.
She is incredibly slow, gentle, and durable. This peaceful giant lives in utter seclusion, and could have remained undetected there if her footsteps had not been discovered by Mica. Because of the anomalous mixture of her minerals, Meteorite does not appear accurately on scans for gems, and may show up on radar as a "glitch".
For a gem to properly be acquainted with Meteorite, they must be led to her cave by Mica.
She can create and modify weapons and armor of almost any quality, and make tools or utensils ranging from the mundane to the masterful.
Weapons:
Meteorite's Hammer and Anvil: Meteorite gathered the rare minerals she needed from the broken Kindergarten equipment near her landing site. These can withstand her ability to superheat, and require to be superheated in order to work on the rare materials she uses.
Abilities:
Superheat: Objects held by Meteorite can be heated to incredible temperatures. She can work with rare minerals that can normally only be manipulated under intricate circumstances because of this ability. In fact, anything special she makes will require something rare, difficult, and illegal to obtain. This ability makes her impervious to almost all extreme forms of heat except for fusion-based plasma.
Smite and Tinker: Meteorite can smash things with incredible strength, but also apply mere grams of delicate force to an object with her hammer. This ability allows her to work on almost any object, a sledgehammer, a spring, even gemstones.
The combination of these abilities gives Meteorite the capacity to create gem-infused artifacts*.
*Artifacts must be approved by the forum, and quests associated to gathering their needed materials must be completed in order to obtain one from Meteorite.

TIER 1 Simple Repairs A few turns of RP Depending on how damaged or intricate the item is. Repair machinery, armor, weapons, etc. Can also create a mundane tool or utensil. | Tier 2 Exceptional Item A new weapon, armor, or intricate machinery. Cannot affect power, just fighting style. Mica will accompany on a quest to obtain 1-2 rare ingredients. (I will draw the item) | Tier 3 Gem-Infused Artifact Requires Approved Artifact Must plan an elaborate heist for incredible ingredients with Mica as a companion. with at least one character on the site playing to defend the Ingredients. You can fail at this (I will draw the item) |
*Artifacts must be approved by the forum, and quests associated to gathering their needed materials must be completed in order to obtain one from Meteorite.
Disclaimer
This is a plot device, for any kind of "quest" Mica may be going on as opposed to wandering around aimlessly. This is often the kind of mission that will require company, and result in something cool. I like making art, this gives me an excuse to draw people cool weapons and make a fun RP experience with them!
Meteorite can create many things ranging up until a gem-infused artifact like Lapis' mirror.. Artifacts must have undergone the application and approval process of the forum to be allowed to exist in the world. Meteorite would simply be playing a role as a plot device for one to acquire this artifact.
You can acquire your forum-approved magical shwag by any means you feel is ok, I personally don't care how you obtain it. This is more-or-less an excuse to go find the ingredients to make neat looking weapons.
If you would like your artifact to be created (in a RP setting), this NPC can provide the means for this to happen. It will require you to have an approved artifact you are allowed and capable of wielding, and to undergo some kind of quest to retrieve the often illegally-obtained materials to construct it (e.g. Phase fibers, adamantite ingot, palladium dust).
If you don't like the sound of this, then put your magical, forum-approved artifact in your backstory, this isn't for you.
This is for people who would like to take part in the creation of their unique and magical items rather than just have it handed to them, that means they already have the object, and to have a mini-arc-creating npc that is mystical and charming.
Meteorite can also make plenty of regular items and modify existing items if they are not unique artifacts (e.g. modifying a sword to have a swanky lion-head-shaped pommel).
