Name:
Starlite
Appeared Gender:
Male
Appeared Age:
30+
Gemstone:
Starlite gems (fusion of Aquamarin and Zircon)
Gemstone Location:
On his back (Aquamarine)
On his chest (Zircon)
Corrupted:
Nope
Appearance:
Starlite is tall gem, quite slim and sleek. His colours are different shades of blue with some white mixed in. The strangest thing about him, is his left hand, since it's separated in 3 distinct parts, that are not visibly connected, but act as a whole arm. He has quite a lot of hair, that are shaped as a blue flame. His eyes are covered by visor, he does, in fact, have 4 of them. When he wishes, he can have white energy wings springing out of his back. His "finger" are capable of creating screens, among other useful things.
Aquamarine is small gem, similar to other aquamarines. She wears what seems to be heavy armor, that is covering her entire chest and a striped skirt. Her eyes are covered by a visor. Her wings and armour are visible even when she fuses with Zircon.
Zircon is strange gem. He is tall and spiky. His chest is covered by a spiky armor and even his hair are kinda spiky. His head and strange left arm are prominent on his fusion. His legs are actually fitted with enhancers, that turns into armour, when he fuses. Both of his hands are missing fingers, that are substituted by first generation enhancers.
Personality:
Starlite is very stable gem. He (in some forms) existed for eons, and during that time he learned a lot of things - first arrogance, then humility... and most of all patience. And with enough patience even the impossible can become possible.
His personality is amalgamation of his two parts. While Zircon holds deep hatred for Homeworld and promised to destroy them, Aquamarine still feels partially part of Homeworld, so she is keeping those tendencies in check most of the time. Where Aquamarine is brash, quick to act and careless, Zircon is careful, strategic and calm. The result is strangely stable.
Aquamarine acts silly and childlike, Zircon, on other hand, is ancient and wise, usually speak only when necessary. Their fusion acts pretty normal, not too childish and not too strict. Starlite can be pretty good company.
Starlite is willing to help anyone, who needs the help, but he will always rather help those, who are enemies of Homeworld. He is very slow, to trust someone, since he was betrayed before, but once he consider someone an ally, he will do pretty much anything to help them. At the same time, once he makes an enemy, he will never forgive them.

Dislikes:
- Homeworld

- Betrayal
Fears:
• Getting captured
• Loosing himself (not unfusing, but being unable to fuse again)
Weapon:
Smiting hammer (Zircon) - it's more a tool then a weapon. It helps him to craft weapon and technologies. It isn't made for combat, but getting hit with a big hammer rarely improve someone's health.
Wand (Aquamarine) - Aquamarine has her wand, that serves as a tractor beam.
Two-handed hammer (Starlite) - When fused, Aquamarine's wand merge with the shaft, making the hammer bigger and heavier. Starlite must wield it with both hands. It's still a valuable tool, but it serves as much better weapon then before.
Ability 1:
Crafting - Starlite isn't a warrior. He wasn't made for combat, he was made to invent. He is able to create artefact, enhancers and armours, that can be summon the same way as gem weapon could. This way he created his arm and fingers. Such creation requires a lot of time and his trusted hammer. Also, he uses a lot of his power, making him drained for some time.
Ability 2:
Elemental resistance - Starlite is an inventor, working with new and unstable technologies. More than one experiment exploded into his face. And he has to survive it. Fire, electricity, explosions or freezing cold, he survived it all with very little after effects. He is far from immune though and any prolonged exposure will eventually harm him. He can easily shrugged one or two attacks every now and then, but sustained attack will succeed.
Fusions:
Starlite (Zircon + Aquamarine)
History:
Eons ago, in time, that only Diamonds remember a gem was created. The very first of all Zircons. He was a prototype and his task was simple - to improve up gem technology. Which he did. Thanks to his work gem ships were faster than before. Their weapon were more powerful and more accurate. He improved upon gem communication. It was slow process, taking millennia, but time had no meaning for Zircon. Until one day...
On that day, he was on board of one of the ancient gem warships. He saw technologies, he developed used, to wipe out all the life on that planet. Sentient beings, animals, plants... all of it there and then gone. Suddenly it hit him as a flaming semi-truck hitting him in face - his inventions were used to destroy billions of lives. Lives that did nothing wrong, just stood in the way of expanding empire.
It was on that day he took control of the ship, hacked into gem communication and announced what he saw, that Gem Empire has no right to play god and asked others to join him. There were some, that joined his cause, but not enough to challenge the might of the Empire. Given enough time, his rebellion might have grown bigger, but time wasn't his ally. Gathering allies was a painful and slow process, and Zircon was impatient. He wanted to bring the fight to the empire. His impatience led to disaster. On of his allies was a spy for the Homeworld and so the location of his secret base was betrayed.
Without warning, warships appeared above his planet. The space battle was short, but brutal. After wiping out those few ships the rebellion possessed ships started to bombard the surface. Thanks to it's powerful shield, the base withstood the onslaught and land forces had to be deployed. Dozen times, they attacked the rebel base, each time they were repelled. Rebels knew too well, that capture would mean death.
Seeing their armies failed Diamonds deployed a weapon, that should've destroyed the fortress. Something went terribly wrong. Perhaps the weapon reacted with something in atmosphere, or some hidden mineral in the ground, perhaps it blew up some of Zircon's crazy inventions, but the explosion was much bigger then anticipated. Both rebels and loyalist were wiped out. Nothing remained, except dead land. Nothing except two gems. Zircon survived, even though his arm, legs and fingers were destroyed and for some reason he was unable to regenerate them. The other survivor was a loyalist Aquamarine. Her survival was pure luck... but both of them were left for dead. Marooned for all eternity on the surface of dying planet.
Given, that there was no other choice they had to cooperate to survive. In order to construct enhancers for his missing limbs he had to fuse with Aquamarine. It was only a matter of convenience at first, but even after he constructed his enhancers, he was unwilling to unfuse. Thanks to the fusion, Aquamarine had access to millennia of knowledge and experience. And Zircon got access to a young mind - full of ideas and ideals.
It took them several hundred years to gather enough scrap to construct a space worthy vessel and blasted into space. Their goal was simple - to support those, who were fighting for freedom, to defend those, who couldn't do that on their own. After fighting homeworld on several planets, they arrived to a small blue planet in the Crystal system - a planet called Earth... the fleet of Pink Diamond told them everything they needed to know...
