Starlite looked at Pink Sapphire with this strange look... as if he was trying to decide who she really was. She seemed to be straight with him, so he should return the favour...
"And what about you? You seemed like a gem devoted to the service of your Diamond, yet you listened to my tale without openly calling me liar, without threatening me, that my heresy will be the end of me or something around those lines..."
He asked her. He knew, that Sapphires were skilled negotiators, she might just be trying to extract information from him, which wasn't all that difficult since he was opened to share his information freely.
"You are clever, you must know, that there are two choices - either I am a liar with some hidden agenda, or Diamonds are evil..."
He was very curious about what she might say.
"And don't worry, I don't plan to harm any gems... well, there are 4 I am planning to harm in the end... but there's time for that..."

"I'm a diplomat, my job is to consider both sides of the story, and work out a peaceful arrangement between them." Pink replied. "And while I have no agreement with your statements that degrade my diamond, I can see from your part of the story, why you'd feel so... Against them."
She sighed as Starlite continued. "If it were easily that simple, I'd call you a liar and be on my way. However there are many factors, and many choices between those statements. For one, The diamonds may have done what had destroyed your rebellion, in a desperate attempt to keep the empire from falling apart at the seams, purging any source material for yet another rebellion."
"...Basically, Sometimes wrong things are done, for the right reason."
She finished, listening to his last statement. Her previous statement echoed within, her faith in the diamonds slowly returning.
But her anger began to boil as he made a poor attempt at concealing the fact, he was going to harm the diamonds, frowning.
"They may have done many things that in your eyes are considered evil, but maybe, just maybe, there's a logical reason for it. So before you go stomping after the diamonds with whatever twisted plan you have in mind, remember, that maybe you'd do the same thing, if you lead a entire empire!" She snapped, if anything. She would of slapped him too if he wasn't taller then her, and the fact of the matter, probably had some fight in him since he was fused with an Aquamarine.
Basically aggravating him, not her brightest plan.
But it pissed her off, this gem, for being so informed, was almost as narrow-minded as a insulated power cable! Maybe before he charges into battle for some silly dream, he should consider what was at stake...
For a moment there was silence. Starlite was watching Pink Sapphire with ominous look... before exploding into laughter.
"That's what I get for trying to test you... there was just one small thing you got wrong - I have no desire to rule the gems. Gems had to rule themselves. Or perhaps chose their own leaders, if they want... I lead gems once... and you already know how that ended..."
If he led the empire he would be probably as bad as Diamonds were now, in different ways, but he just wasn't cut to be a leader...
"Otherwise you are perfectly correct. We had good reason to rebel, Empire had good reason to stop us... if they wouldn't we just might succeed... it was a war, doesn't mean I feel better about it, but I do understand..."
So many good gems lost... every single one of them was a free individual, not a slave... they all died for what they believed. Along with those slaves, who were suppose to stop them...
"I just hope, that you don't get so easily angered during negotiations... it was unkind of me to do so and I apologise."

Pink just stared at the gem with the most bewildered face. Why the stars was he laughing at her!? And testing her?! Sparks ignited into flames under her dress, causing it to become puffy once again.
She was downright perturbed. He was just messing with her this entire time!? That was it.
While a diplomatic gem, she wasn't going to let valuable time be wasted by this clown of a fusion! "It's called seeing it from someone else's perspective, if you were forced to be the leader of an entire empire, wouldn't you probably try and wipe all signs of rebellion?" She replied, trying to pat her dress down as she tried to control her emotions, which the fire died down, slowly.
Sighing, "I don't. Normally I don't have to deal with gems who seem to only want to mess with me..." she muttered, beginning to turn toward the direction of the nearest warp pad. She didn't really accept his apology, as valuable time was wasted.
"If there's anything you need to say now, say it, or I'll leave you to conduct you research." She told the gem. Personally, she was starting to get a bad feeling about this gem, but, nothing was deeming him a possible threat to the empire. Except for the one line, but rebels are all the same.
...She began to wish she was taller so she could slap him for being so... Insane as to threaten the diamonds!
"I would most definitely tried to do that... otherwise it could power my enemies... but as I said, the fact that I understand it doesn't mean, that it is easier to forget it happened..."
"Mess with you? It might seems so, doesn't it? But if you will remember anything from what I said you today, than my job here is done... because one day, perhaps tomorrow... perhaps in 10 years and perhaps in 300 years your Diamond will do something, that will make you remember this conversation. Or perhaps you will hear a story, that you would otherwise pass as a crazy tale... And on that day you will see the Diamonds for what they really are - intergalactic tyrants, enslaving the entire race, wiping out countless others... and the only future for Gem Empire is for clever gems like you starting thinking for themselves. And if anything I made you think."
It was a shame that he agitated this gem that much. It was some time since he spoke with a gem. But this gem was clever enough to not forget this... perhaps. He failed to change the empire with war... perhaps someone else could change it with words...
"Thank you for information about this planet and for your time. I think you might have what is needed to make Gem Empire better."
He smiled. With that a ship appeared over him out of thin air. It seemed like it was made from spare parts, yet it looked strong and armed...

Glaring at the fusion as she turned her head toward him, she wasn't asking the gem to forget, but she didn't feel like arguing anymore. What else could she possibly say to him? Call him a madman?
Pink had run out of material, and will to deal with this gem. She honestly just wanted to leave, so now she would. She began to completely ignore Starlite's statements as she turned back and started to walk away, however as she heard something like a ship appearing, she turned turned on her heels to face it.
It was.. Really scrappy looking, however it seemed to look like it was capable of doing rather serious damage. She said nothing, however part of her felt sort of sad. Or at least, guilty. That must of been the ship they built.
It would be easy to recognize them just by the state the ship was in, should she ever encounter them again.
But, she probably wouldn't. She gave the ship a quick study from her position, then left for the warp pad.
This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
