She didn't expect Pink to be so taken aback by her advance, but this was good-- it meant that her fear would be even more likely to propel the flame to take whatever shape it would. Her eyes went wide as she skidded into the fire's new found form, captured into its hold like a fly in a trap. It's consistency was entirely different now, like a solid rather than a hazy fire. Part of her feared what could happen next, especially since it appeared that Pink had no overt knowledge on how to control the thing. She wasn't confident that her plasma could have an affect on something constructed of thermal energy, the plasma itself was a kind of dense power drawn from thermal and kinetic energies.
"O-okay! We're really getting somewhere now!" She called back to Pink,"Perhaps we can find a way to, ah, call it off?" As she struggled in its grip, she dispatched of her weapons, hoping that Pink's defender would unhand her.
As she heard the arm grab onto something, she released her arms from her protective stance, watching as Paddy struggled within its grip, and call out to pink, asking if there was a way to call it off.
"Uh... I'm not sure..!" Pink replied, panicking. She had let the fire do as it pleased, releasing complete control of it, in which while it still fought for her, it had no purpose at this point as it held onto Paddy tightly.
"Can you cut your way through it...?!" She called back, while she attempted to gain control of it, once again. However, it seemed that it would not bend to her will anymore, and began attempting to flip Paddy within it's grip.
At this point, it was just messing around with her, and didn't seemed to be causing Paddy any harm, however...
Pink was growing concerned as she kept trying to bend it to her will with no success, would she have to go up to it and gain control manually, or attempted to destroy her newly existent creation?
She clenched her teeth as Pink Sapphire's words met her, the fears she had began bubbling up into the surface. The thing began to flip her to and fro, her nerves piled on. There was no telling what she'd just gotten herself into, a rather hasty decision it had been at that. If she made more hasty decisions, she might put herself in a very compromised situation. Pink was an innocent, kind gem-- as far as she knew-- but Earth was enemy territory, and they were in an open field after all. Thoughts like this only added to her anxiousness.
"I'm afraid to provoke it again, quite honestly," She said, then she remembered again the tactics that Em had used with her sentient hologram. Though she didn't know if this thing was truly sentient or a hologram, she wondered if a similar approach could be taken with it,"P-perhaps you could try, uh...talking it down?" It sounded silly to her, after all, why would a gem have to speak to their own projections? Yet, she'd seen it before, and she decided that this was something her knowledge was woefully inadequate on. She quietly hoped that this creation wouldn't start stampeding around the colony, completely off the rails until some gem could wrangle with it.
'Don't worry, you'll be fine, just hold tight!" She called, mildly concerned as the arm continued to mess with the poor gem.
Talking to the arm? How could that go wrong. "U-uh, alright..!" She replied, cautiously walking to the base, but stood a fair distance from the arm in question.
"H-hey, could you stop torturing Padparascha, please? She was only trying to get you to take form, she didn't mean to actually attempt to hurt me!" She spoke softly, however, the arm's behavior did not change, and instead began attempting to swing Padparascha side to side, swinging without a care in the world.
At this point, Pink glared at the disobedient arm in a fairly angry manner.
"Enough!" She called out toward the arm, Pink swiping at the base with her hand.
This did something, as the arm fizzled for a second, then let go of Padparascha, still a decent ways from the ground mind you, and began to degenerate, until it had completely dissipated.
It seemed that the larger it was, the more disobedient it would be.
The sapphire was getting increasingly dizzy as the construct continued to toy with her, as if she were a doll. There wasn't much she could do and when it didn't respond to Pink's demands, nervousness tinged her expression. She thought on everything within her knowledge, trying to stack this up against other dilemmas she'd faced. But, she drew blanks, and prepared to try to summon her weapons again. However, as her blades began to take form, the other sapphire's voice shot through the air, and the fire let Padparadscha tumble to the ground.
"Oof," She landed on her back in the dirt and grass, and let her weapons disappear as she watched Pink's creation do the same. She was relieved, but unsettled all at once. Intrigued as well-- it seemed that both sapphires had a lot to learn about the nature of this fire. Padpara pushed herself up to her feet, and gave a proud smirk to Pink,"You did it," She said, then gave a chuckle,"I was afraid there for a moment. The question now I suppose is, how did you do it? Was the the words, your motion, or your emotion?" As she awaited the sapphire's answer, she dusted herself off, and straightened out her silken skirts.

Pink walked over to Paddy as she was dropped from the sky, thankfully not hurt, from what she could see. Rubbing the back of her head, she responded with mild confusion of what she had actually accomplished, and responded with "I-I just yelled at it... A-and I felt really, scared? Surprised?" As she looked toward the original location of the arm's base, which had dissipated.
"Are you okay?" Pink asked, watching the gem organize herself.
As she waited for a response, she thought about what she had done, the steps she had taken to achieve her creation.
She remembered that as soon as she had let the fire loose from her grasp, Paddy had "Attacked" her, which the fire quickly took the form of a arm to block the gem. Pink began to metaphorically attempt to cross her arms again, connecting the two actions together. She had given the fire a command before she had let go her last string of control completely, stop Paddy's attack.
"I'm fine, thank you," She gave a bit of a sigh but maintained her cheerful expression. She felt she was watching the young gem burgeon over a hurdle in her life. This other pink-court sapphire had been through too much, and had been forced to feel lesser in dignity than her station had initially given her-- as if she couldn't defend herself. Padparadscha too felt that way many times in her life, and was no more knowledgeable on this mysterious power than Pink was herself, but this breakthrough had given her a new sense of determination. She paced around again as she tried to think harder about what Pink told her, and what she'd seen happen.
"Why don't you give it another go?" Though there was some risk present, Padpara wanted to see what Pink could do now that this ulterior nature of the flame had been revealed. She didn't think the fear, nor the surprise, would've contributed to the dissipation of the creation, but there seemed to be something to the anger, and the sharp words Pink had given the shape before it's departure. "I'll be less reckless in my approach, this time," She gave a small laugh,"Perhaps you could summon something smaller, apply a bit less energy to the construct?"
Pink laughed awkwardly, another one? Oh stars, what was the chance that a smaller form wouldn't do the same, or even worse damage then the giant disobedient hand?
"I'm not so sure about this..." She replied, stepping a few feet from Paddy.
She lifted her hand outward once again, summoning yet another bundle of flames, which began to do as the previous construct had, however this time it was much smaller then her larger summon, about the size of a quartz.
It soon began to warp violently as Pink instructed it to duel Paddy, yet, She hadn't explained what she wanted it to form into, which caught Pink off guard. As it continued to take a humanoid appearance, it seemed to take the form of... Iolite?
Pink winced slightly. She remembered Iolite, while she wasn't as... Terrifying, she felt hints of another, more brutal gem in the history associated with Iolite, someone she hoped she'd never see again.
"Be careful Padparascha!" She told her comrade, in which the fire construct seemed to attempt to stare Paddy down, with it's empty, metaphorical eyes, as it waited for her first move.
Her brows furrowed as she looked on the fire, which seemed to take on a familiar visage. A gem who'd been friendly with her in the past, yet remained at arms length, never quite divulging her secrets to the sapphire. "Iolite?" The sapphire pondered out loud,"You know of this gem?" She couldn't think of any other reason why Pink's fire would've taken that shape. This particular Iolite was much bulkier than the usual gem of her cut, along with her other notable features; ruling out the possibility that this was a different gem of the same kind.
"I will be," She opted to keep her distance this time, and found her center as she conjured a pool of sizzling hot plasma around her feet. It singed away the grass and flowers around her, and rose with a tumultuous motion. With one half of her mind, she focused on the creation of material. With the other half, she calculated how she would approach this flame. If she attacked the flame, would it defend itself? Or, was it more interested in the protection of Pink Sapphire?
Padpara gathered an orb of plasma, and chucked it toward the flame, testing its motivations.

The construct seemed to move as Paddy made the first attack, dodging the careless orb. Pink moved quickly to avoid the plasma. It seemed as if this construct had no interest in protecting Pink, and would rather fight Paddy, which, seemed to be what Pink had ordered it to do, Though maybe she should of have been a little more specific, as in to both duel paddy, and protect her...
Suddenly, it began to charge Paddy, poised as if it was going to attempt to punch her. As Pink watched this act, she wondered if they would form weapons, if she chose a construct of a gem that she had seen with a weapon.
Which she was limited on her choices, should they attempt something similar.
And another thing, would the plasma just fuel the construct, as it was made of thermal energy itself?
Padparadscha made mental note of the actions the flame took. It looked as if it weren't very interested in her attack. Then, seemed to change it's mind suddenly, so she switched her own tactics up. The plasma redirected in midair, though it was farther away from her now and slowed as it began to cool and harden. The shape of it morphed, elongating into a spear as it became more dense. She wouldn't have time to make use of it quite yet as Pink's guardian charged toward her. Padpara stood straight backed, and pulled up more material to defend herself with.
By the time this shadow of Iolite reached her, a shield of plasma shot up between her and the strike. She was both eager to see how the construct would react, and nervous that she might end up being it's play-thing once again. Her eyes flickered to Pink Sapphire, then back to the attacker. It seemed that it was being controlled in some manner, though it wasn't vocal as she had once theorized. She wasn't all together sure how this would go, but she hoped that Pink could be lead into another breakthrough.
She grimaced when she realized that the fiery Iolite tried to consume the energy she was putting into her plasma-- which was an awfully huge amount of raw potential. If it managed to sap too much, the thing might rapidly grow passed a manageable scale for both of the gems. With as much speed as she could muster, she extinguished the plasma that surrounded her. Now Padparadscha was at something of a loss, she had nary a second to summon her weapons while the construct was upon her. Her shield and natural defenses had to be dropped, and she was wide-open.
--Just in time for her stone-spear to fly towards the back of the elemental. She hoped that it could be caught off-guard, and that the inertness of if would prevent the creation from slurping it up; it might have to expend more energy in reigniting the plasma-spear than it could sap from the stone, if it attempted such a thing.

Pink watched as the construct seemed to be at a lost for a second, as it tried to process a better tactic, The spear approaching the constructs back. She was tempted to warn it, tell it to go another way, but this was more or less a fight to see it's abilities, so warning the construct wouldn't help them. The construct seemed to crackle as it finally put it's plan into motion, however it was quickly impaled through the chest as the spear came through it's back, Pink covering her mouth, watching the disturbing image that had played out.
She knew it was a construct, yes, but at the same time it still had the physical parameters of Iolite, who even though she didn't know her well, Pink felt worry for the gem, sometimes.
The construct began to fizzle, and exploded in a cloud of heat, and scattered embers.
Padparadscha captured her spear, and reincorporated it into her stores of energy. She smiled, and sighed as she watched the dust scatter, glad that she hadn't been manhandled this time. She felt a bit triumphant, though she didn't let on about it, and turned toward Pink. It was surprising to see a bit of a discomforted aura dancing around the young sapphire, though she couldn't quite place what it was. Had she been a bit too quick to test the durability of the construct? "I apologize, I suppose I didn't expect to destroy it," She said, pursing her lips,"Though, it's good to see where it's limitations lay."
She let her powers fall into obscurity, and clasped her hands together before walking back up to the other sapphire."So, Pink Sapphire, it seems you're making some leaps and bounds. This power is a far-cry from useless, are you certain you haven't practiced it before?" Just as she had found herself a bit jealous of minions she'd seen before, this one intrigued her. She wished she could conjure such a thing, and send it out to do her bidding. But, for the most part, she'd have to rely on other gems in her retinue for things of that nature.
This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems.
