Pink was happy that she didn't have to save Paddy from a giant hand again but, part of her ached as she watched Iolite disappear into embers. She still couldn't get over that image, she couldn't get over any of it. Eventually she was going to have to confront these feelings, or these gems.
Pink smiled, "Ah, i-it's fine, and as long as we gained good information on it's weakness." She replied, folding her fingers. She still felt a little jumpy, however everything was alright.
"...Actually, I've never attempted to let it loose before. I've always been told that keeping things clear and controlled was the way to handle my powers, and doing otherwise, would be opposite of what i'm supposed to do." She replied, starting to slightly question the gem who had taught her these ways.
She nodded at Pink's first statement, but then titled her head slightly as the other came forth. One of her elegant brows arched, and she brought her hand to her chin. "That's...interesting," She stated with a bit of hesitation,"--That an official would tell you the wrong way to use your abilities," She knew that most gems were born with the knowledge they needed to carry out their duties, but she knew also from experience that latent powers were indeed possible-- her own truth sense hadn't been revealed to her until she had several decades under her belt. Gems were full of surprises; that was something she'd learned after her dispatch to Earth, if nothing else.
"Well, I suppose it's better late than never," She gave a big smile to Pink. The two of them were kindred spirits in a way, both of them hailed from the same Diamond. The two of them were aristocrats who, in one manner or another, had that dignity of a gem who was meant for nobility, yet lived a lifestyle perhaps not originally intended for them. Both of them had awoken abilities that they'd never imagined they had. Though she hadn't known this gem for a very long time, she felt that they may know each other for a while yet. "It certainly is different from what I'm use to-- focus is everything in plasma manipulation. But it seems that letting go is a apt strategy for yourself. I'm glad to have been here to see you make this discovery."

Pink smiled in response, almost grinning. "It was nice to experiment with it, and now that it's active, I might stand a chance on my own!" She replied, tapping her fingers in a excited manner.
It was nice to work with someone in her social standing, especially one from the same diamond. However Pink began to wonder, Paddy had mentioned a ship awhile ago, and while she was unsure if that was a offer to take her to Pink Diamond, Pink wondered if she should inquire about it. After meeting that one rebel, or specifically, the unaligned fusion, she was beginning to question them, what if they weren't good, what if the best option was to leave Homeworld, and the rebellion?
Sigh, she still didn't know what to think about that. Anyway.
"True, and it's so interesting, I often thought all sapphires had to "focus" on their abilities to properly use them, at least, I used to." Supposedly, Pink guessed that not all sapphire's had to focus on their powers to use them... Unless she was just a really, really unique gem. Though she did see Lapis lazulis' doing similar "Constructs" out of water... What an interesting concept, how would she fair against a lazuli?
"Honestly, I'm glad you were here to help me, any other gem might of had a issue fighting with a giant arm, and the I-Iolite Construct." Pink laughed, having a faint idea what type of battle it would of been, should Spade been here.
It seemed that both sapphires were lingering near similar thoughts. Padpara thought back to the first time she met Pink, who'd given her account of the things that had transpired between her entry to Earth's atmosphere and the gathering. She wanted to believe that this other pink-court gem had held up her Homeworld integrity, but she also got the impression that this gem had her own way of doing things-- much like Iolite, and others Padpara had met in her own journey. It was hard to say where she would be overstepping her bounds or not.
"Clarity comes in many forms it seems," She mused aloud, giving a small smirk. Padpara couldn't help but to feel a tad flattered at Pink's comments, though she wondered which other gems this sapphire had known who might have been there, if not herself. "You know, I didn't realize that we both had been acquainted with that gem-- Iolite, I mean. A peculiar gem, that one," She still didn't know how to feel about the gem who had proclaimed to "have something" for the Diamonds, yet resided on Earth in an apartment partaking in activities like drinking. Still, there was a charm to her, and she certainly knew her way around. "How did you two meet? I came across her in the middle of a forest, if you can believe it," She chuckled.

Pink stared at Paddy as she asked her that rather... Touchy question, Panicking inside. She wanted to know about how she met Iolite?!
How was she supposed to tell her that? She hardly knew the gem, heck, she had used every excuse in the book to avoid her, for some strange reason... Then again, the state of that city wasn't exactly the... Best condition, so it might of been a good thing, but still..!
"U-um..." Pink stuttered, hesitating to speak. "...R-Remember that d-deranged gem, and his victim I mentioned at the g-gathering...?" She asked, fiddling her thumbs nervously. She couldn't lie to Paddy, but she also didn't want to play "Explain what happened to Iolite without drowning the planet with emotional baggage." So, just making a reference to previous statement, seemed to be the best option, part of her hoping the sapphire wouldn't press farther for more of the story.
It was a bit obscure to tell who the deranged one and who the victim was in this scenario-- Iolite was somewhat unpredictable despite her seemingly insouciant, if crass, mannerisms. But, she hadn't been ill-treated by the gem, and even considered her something of an ally. Who was the deranged gem? Before, she'd guessed that it had been 9XR, though she never received outward confirmation to that effect. Padparadscha was a gem who pursued transparency and truths, but she also understood from her law-work, and her own experiences, that there were some things that one simply didn't wish to revisit.
She swallowed, and with a nod, she showed that would be her final question in pursuit of that. After all, Pink was prone to fainting spells-- she wasn't sure if she should be putting unnecessary pressure on this young gem. Still, the fact that Iolite showed up as the other sapphire's protector seemed to suggest there was some unfinished business between them. Padpara wondered if there was a through-line to this notion of letting go of control and focus that the two of them had stumbled upon today. "Well, your ability certainly seems versatile. Something that once seemed to be a disadvantage now comes as an advantage," Her expression grew more playful as she tried to change the subject, "Though, I'm sure there is still much for you to learn. Perhaps..." She stopped, and fiddled with her thumbs for a moment. "Ah well, I'd invite you to come train with me in the arena back on base. But rumors travel around there quickly, I've heard a few popping up about my own capers there to be honest-- it's quite atypical to see a sapphire there. Still, if you don't mind that sort of thing..."

As Paddy seemed to change the subject, thankfully, Pink listened to Paddy's offer.
Going with Paddy, to train at the base? Wait, what base? Pink couldn't remember if she had mentioned it before but, she did remember something about Moons having a diamond base... Sometimes?
Pink would have to check that at a different time. Though as she recounted on Paddy's words, she hesitated to respond. She sort of wanted to stay, specifically around Spade but... She wasn't completing anything. All she was doing was wandering this planet, getting herself into unnecessary danger. Plus she could deal with rumors, instead of giant monsters, whom want to literally shatter her.
Plus there were so many rebels, and she barely had met any Homeworld gems... And she had a phone, too! She could call Spade from the moon! ...Maybe.
With these factors, she decided. "...I don't mind, I'll join you."
Her eyes lit up as Pink took her offer. It would be something, at least, to no be one of the only unconventional sapphires around base. Part of her hadn't been expecting the other pink-court gem to accept, something about her manner had told her that perhaps Pink wouldn't have been compelled to. It came as a surprise, a good one, to hear her say that. Padparadscha smiled, and gestured in the general direction of where her ship was parked.
"Ah, well, whenever you feel prepared, I can take you back to Headquarters and show you around. You'll have to report with the board managers, of course. But I can help you get your answers sorted out for their line of questioning-- if you wish it. It's likely our Diamond may have an interest in being there, considering your cut. They'll simply want to know what you've been doing with your time here before they assign you a schedule," She tried to speed passed the more unpleasant sounding parts. It was likely that Pink would be forced to recount the events that had put so much pressure on her in the first place, in front of some of the most intimidating gems Padparadscha herself had ever worked around.
But, it would be necessary to get her back onto the track of proper servitude. Sapphires were expensive to produce, and she surmised that the board would be happy to see that one of their planned models had finally arrived intact.

Pink looked in the direction of the spaceship, then looked back to Paddy as she explained what she needed to do.
Though, she slightly shrunk backwards, at the thought of having to do so many reports. Getting back into the system, takes a lot of work doesn't it?
Well, if she wanted to get back to her court, to her Diamond, it should be worth it. She'll finally be home. After these few weeks of nightmare fuel, she'll finally get to work under the diamond she was made for!
Pink was excited, but at the same time, extremely nervous. She'd have to face her diamond, and these board managers, and... That's a lot of gems she'd have to explain to, without throwing emotion garbage at each of them.
"Well... I guess we could go now, I don't really have any errands to run..." She muttered, thinking. "...A-and that would be nice of you, to help me sort out my answers..."
She honestly had no idea how she was going to handle this.
It was easy to see Pink's nerves from where she stood, but Padparadscha knew it wouldn't be of any help to point them out. She'd be nervous too, she supposed, if she were in a similar situation. After all, meetings with a Diamond were as nerve-wracking as they were an honor, especially the first. "In that case, we can get moving. I still have some time until my next assignment, I can fill you in and get you acquainted with the base until then. At which point, I'd drop you off at the manager's office." Padparadscha gestured for Pink to follow her with a nod of her head, then clasped her hands together and made off toward the ship. She glanced back from the corner of her eye for a moment, part of her still feared that the other sapphire might change her mind. It was a hard thought to shake, given how many times she'd been snubbed in the past.
"It's exciting, isn't it? It will be good to see you around base," She tried to fill the air as she kept walking, to distract from her own doubts, but to also help to get Pink more in a positive mind about this transition. "As for the questioning, don't worry too much. As long as you're honest and eager to serve, you will be back on track in no-time,"
Padpara tried not to frown when she saw that Pink's nerves were gaining on her. She let up a breezy sigh and gave a reassuring smile instead. "Perhaps I'll be able to accompany you, I'm sometimes brought in on account of my sense for truth at any rate. I'll be sure to put in a good word for you," Soon the both of them had come upon the small copse of trees that she'd stashed her vehicle in. It's bright pink finish glimmered in the late afternoon sun, and she pursed her lips at how noticeable it was. Perhaps one of these days she'd have to opt for a more well-hidden paint job for her ship.
Now, Padpara threw up her holoscreen and punched in the code that would initiate the boarding sequence, disengaging the door locks and allowing the ramp to track down until it settled into the pine needles. Though the sapphire had no way of knowing what particular thoughts were troubling Pink, she wanted to give the other sapphire as little time as possible to change her mind-- if the young gem was having doubts, the older gem surmised that she would have to act fast in order to get her secured into Homeworld custody. She gestured for Pink to go up the ramp before herself as she waited at its foot.
It was a bit worrisome that Pink didn't have confidence in herself, it would be seen as weakness by her superiors. However, it wouldn't be grounds for her replacement as much as total defection would. "Don't worry Pink Sapphire, you'll be able to take on a few gruff gems," She gave a smirk. Padparadscha wanted to count this other sapphire as finally having some good fortune; after all, she would finally be joined back up with her own kind, in her intended position. The gem had undergone some trying times, but was ultimately inexperienced and seemed a tad naive. Soon she'd be building a repertoire in the name of Homeworld. It warmed the sapphire's heart to see that Pink, despite her anxieties, had truly made up her mind.
Padparadscha followed behind Pink, and punched in the code that would cause the ship to lock. Then she smiled and made her way to the command chair. "Feel free to look around, this is a newer model and I've recently had it upgraded," She was a bit proud of her vessel, but she also tried to give a more conversational air to the room as the control panel floated into her reach. Her fingers glided across the screen, and the engines bloomed to life. "It wont take long at all to get there,"

"A few gruff gems... I guess that doesn't sound too hard." She replied, watching the gem come in behind her, and input the code that once again caused the ramp mechanisms to activate, causing the ship to lock.
Following Paddy's movements with her gaze, she was given permission to look around.
Now, with permission in play, Pink began to investigate. Some equipment she recognized quickly, however the ship itself, was unrecognizable. She wasn't a Ship Enthusiast, so of course she had no idea which ships were which, only the class of ship, relating to the gem.
Though, Pink herself seemed to have forgotten of class of the ship she had once boarded, heading for Homeworld.
As the ship's engines suddenly activated, Pink turned to the source of the noise in alarm, however she sighed as she realized that they were just taking off.
Hoping that this ship wouldn't have the same fate as hers, she looked to Padparascha. "It's just a short hop to the moon... Right?" She asked, mildly concerned.
