Rhodolite bolted over to the warp pad and smiled at the other gem before closing her eyes and concentrating on the sandy shore of the lake where she had transported herself from, using her little pocket warp. Soon after they were torn into tiny pieces of light and sent hurtling back to the lake where the impact of their landing, due to no warp pad, had sent ripples through the calm water nearby. Rhodolite made her way to the hollow tree that her stuff was kept in and reached in to grab what she had. She pulled out an armful of tapes and a couple of records, though she didn't have a record player, she wanted one. She brought the stuff over to be set next to where they had landed and set it down then made her way back to the tree, she reached in and pulled out some more tapes and a few little knick knacks. She brought those over as well. Finally making her way back one more time, she reached into the tree and came out with her boombox, it was a little dusty and still had the last song they listened to in it. She set it next to the other stuff then an idea popped into her head.
"Wait here, I have an idea." Rhodolite said and took off towards the small town of beach city. She took some time coming back, about an hour, but she came back with a couple of bags that were rolled in front of her on an older office chair, and a large, collapsible table dragged behind her. "I know, it's not like your holo-desk, but, I can set this up in one of the corners of the place, and have my own little area." She said and grinned. "Some of the humans had some things they needed to get rid of, so I thought I'd take them, make myself more at home at the underwater base, y'know?" She said with a grin.
She liked the way that word sounded. She never really had a place of her own to stay or live in, but now, she had a place like that. She had a home.
