Jadeite's first encounters (Open) (Jade, Paddy)

[Paddy]

As Jade whirled around with her spear drawn, Amethyst nearly spin-dashed straight into it before she cut to the side, turning on a dime to rush passed the weapon and flinging grass everywhere before she stumbled out of her formation and onto her feet. However, she'd ended up with her back turned to the enemy-- not a good position to be in, so she whirled around, materializing her sword once again and preparing to launch herself at the Jade fusion. But, she fumbled, realizing that the fusion had slipped out of sight in the seconds that had gone by. 

"Where did they go?" The sapphire called as she ran up to the quartz, who grew increasingly frantic as she paced around, her heavy foot-fall thudding against the dirt.  

"Uh..." 6UE scratched the back of her neck, swiveling on her heels as she tried to locate her target,"They were just here, m-my sapphire-- uh..." The amethyst furrowed her brows, and pressed her lips together, knowing this wasn't a good look for her. Every failure would be pinned on her-- her fists clenched. 

"Amethyst..." Padparadscha's eyes cut up into the quartz, then with a sigh, she continued,"No matter. There aren't many places they could've gone. I'll raise alert, we'll catch them before too long. It's convenient that we were able to extract as much data as we were, though I'll have to do some fact checking," The sapphire wandered around the premises as her fingers tapped along her holoscreen. Her eyes swept through the grass and scrub vegetation, looking for signs of movement while the amethyst continued her own search. It was times like these that she missed the barren landscape of places like the kindergartens.

Jade would brace themselves as they paid all attention towards the Amethyst rolling towards them, but instead, the gem would stop and spin around, kicking up most the dirt and grass nearby, creating a grainy vail of minerals. Jade sprinted away from the gem who now had her back turned. Surprisingly, it had bought them more time than they expected, and they would use it to their advantage, as those few tens of seconds allowed a few meters to be added onto the gap between Sapphire and Amethyst.
Jade hopped over the lone line or bushes, and into the large, dark ditch that lay under it, slight relief comimg over them.

"Just a littke longer, I beg of you, don't let go. Everytning will be alright..." They whispered.

Jade felt a warm mix lf emotions flow through them, the dirt piling kn them alightly.

"Will it really?" The voice seemed somewhat more rough, and frusurated.

Jade paused. "I-I promise, I know you hate this, I know what you want to do, but trust me, it will."

Jade started tearing up inaudibly with their two softer eyes, out of fear and confusion.

While Jade seemed to be confident and ao sure of who each part lf them was, that was only a presumptuous mask to hide frkm the fact that they're confused. Confusd about why they exist, confused abiut their partner, confused about why theyre a failure, cknfused abiut everything. It felt like an abyss that sucked in everything, jumbled it up, and crushed it all into something unreconizeable and dark. Everything was bad, and felt like they knew nothing, but also so much at the same time. This form, it made them feel each other, and look into each others' mind, neither of them wanted this. Maybe homewolrd wanted them shattered for a good reason, because of this, their emotion was nevef something a soldier should. If homeworld wasn't their home where was it? Jade wasn't a human, but was nothing a Gem was meant to be, was there anyone like them? At least the 'bad' gems on homeworld where good or useful in some way, and they felt nothing like them.

As the two gems searched, Jade lay kn the ditch, silently crying with all four their eyes, staring at themselves, just feeling confused a lost to everh since lf the word.

//Hopefully thismis good, since their isnt really a lot to 'do.' I thought that giving a good view of Jade's thoughts, and how this unstable form made them feelwould be interesting, What do you think about it all?
