Well, it was yet another morning on the ball of dirt called Earth.
Disthene rolled open the barn door of her warehouse, letting the sunlight stream in. It had been several months since she'd made her crash landing. The interactions with what few gems she'd met seemed to be going well, but the lack of Gems visiting her established Homeworld Embassy troubled her. She was a Kyanite, made for eloquence and conflict resolution, yet no one came to help her fulfill her function. Her console was nearly fixed, but the reports she had to send back to her Diamond were severely lacking. What was she going to tell Blue Diamond day after day? She could see the letter in her mind now.
She could almost hear the disappointment in her Diamond's voice, admonishing Disthene for not trying harder. Berating her for Failure. Disthene was not one to fail.
There, the little ticket-counter was at the door. Gems wishing to have their demands heard could take a number, form a queue, and visit. She swept her skirts to the side, once again taking a seat behind the desk that sat alone in the middle of the warehouse. She laced her fingers together on the polished, elegant surface, beginning the day doing what she had been doing all day, every day, since she'd opened the Embassy.
Sitting, and watching the sun cast ever elongating shadows on the naked brick walls.
Oh brother. Perhaps it was time to wander out amongst the humans, seeking out gems and dragging them back to her lair. They'd have to tell her their demands then! She'd be sure to succeed in her mission!

"My Diamond,
I have once again sat in my Embassy, awaiting the appearance of stranded Homeworld Gems and Crystal Rebels, yet none have taken advantage of the services I provide.
Sincerely, Disthene."
