Name:
Fire Opal
Appeared Gender:
Male
Appeared Age:
Late fourties-early fifties, actual age is too big to be presented for eyes of unknown people and gems (mostly because it isn't known how long ago appeared gems as a species)
Gemstone:
Fire Opal of rare color
Gemstone Location: Right eye
Faction: Homeworld, always loyal to it
Corrupted:No
(If Corrupted)Monster Form:
Appearance:
Made by CWFB, she can be found at FA (I have all rights of the character and have a proof of that (which is completely in Russian))
Personality: He can be called one of most arrogant and lordly gemstones someone could think of, even though he isn't the most highstanding aristocrat of them all, but he still IS an aristocrat, which makes hin think of himself as of greatest creature ever. Opal is selfish and doesn't care at all about lives of lower-standing gems, especially about lives of Pearles and Quartzes. First are just lower than any of his attention, and second, as he thinks, were made to die at will of Diamonds. What else warriors are supposed to do as not to die at war?
He can easily poof or shatter someone just because he doesn't like them, because they annoy him too much, but because of lack of the weapon and too strong mind of most gems he's not able to do it.
He is completely loyal to Diamonds, even though Yellow sent him to this planet, about fate of which he doesn't even care, and is never joining the rebellion. Why join some filthy rebels if you is already high-standing gem?
The only other gem Opal has emotional attachment to is Moonstone, his guard, who was with him all the time since he arrived on the planet, but short time in the past he was lost during one accident, and Fire Opal has no knowledge of there Moon is now. (Emotional attachment means that Fire Opal would be a bit dissapointed if Moonstone dies).
He feels embarrassed to talk to most lower-standing gem and will certainly not talk with any Pearl.
Likes: Himself, feeling strong, Homeworld, when gems obey him
Dislikes:
Any organic live forms, Earth, rebels, when gems disobey
Fears:
Being shattered, losing of his aristocracy status, becoming a rebel (damn worst)
Weapon: No weapon to summon, common steel rapier taken from some human by Moonstone and given by him to Fire Opal for self defense in case of Moonstone's death
Ability 1: Mind control of mindly weak gems (mostly Rubies or weak Pearls) or humans, but isn't used because of total dysfunction of his own body whilst controlling other's. Is completely vulnerable and doesn't use it without his guard present. (NPCs - only for 5 posts at max, players - only with their approval, for how long they wish it to last)
Ability 2:
Fire control: small fireballs or fire cloak from thin air, doesn't last long.
History:
Fire Opal was created many thousands, maybe even millions years ago and stood alongside the Diamonds ever since. He was a true aristocrat, not only due to his rare color, but due to his personality, too. He was originally made as one of White Diamond's aristocrats, and served alongside her, often moving forward some ideas. He wasn't the highest in the aristocracy after the Diamonds by his status, but he was among the highest.
But one day it was inevitably that something bad would happen. Almost six thousand years ago, Fire Opal dared to dispute with one of things that Yellow Diamond wanted to do - mostly because they were extremely aggressive and could cost Homeworld a giant amount of resources and lives, but it was it - he disputed the Diamond and needed a punishment, even if all the other Diamonds shared his opinion. But he hasn't been asked for it and he must've payed for this.
That's how it was decided to send him to colony, away from Homeworld, and it happened to be Earth just by accident, it could as simply happen to be any other planet which was being colonized by the gems at the moment.
At least it is how Opal thought of it, but actually all of that was a plan of White Diamond - otherwise whe wouldn’t let one of her gems leave the Homeworld because such an illogical reason. She wanted someone, who could be a spy in Pink Diamond’s court not only as an aristocrat, but also as Pearls or Rubies or other servant gems - she knew that if Fire Opal felt safe enough, he would have himself mind-controlling everyone he could see.
As soon as he arrived, he got a Moonstone as a guard for him, Moonstone, previously being a pathfinder whose work wasn't needed anymore. The same day Opal got a message from White Diamond, sent by her Pearl, saying that he should report everything he discovered at Pimk Diamond’s court, everything that didn’t seem right, directly to her. And it was what he did, knowing that he does something, that could expose the traitors if there were any.
All six thousand years since that day Moonstone walked alongside Fire Opal and protected him, firstly - of animal and aborigines, later - from rebels and corrupted gems.
The rebellion, the cut-off from Homeworld thas a huge dissapointment for Opal - mostly because it meant that he was stuck on this piece of organic rock until the rebellion was stopped, but also it was a huge victory - he always believed that Earth was full of traitors and told about that to everyone else, and finally it was confirmed. The damage of Kindergarten wasn’t the new thing for him to know, neither did knowledse of Diamonds will to destroy prganic life: he saw many planets being cleared from organic life after full colonization, as well as them being totally destroyed after all the resources were wiped out. So he found nothing shoking in that, not for himself.
About half-a-year ago happened something, because of which Moonstone was separated from Fire Opal. Moon was protecting him from one of corrupted gems, when suddenly fell into the river, near which everything was happening, bringing corrupted gems with him. Opal hasn't heard anything from his guard ever since, and had never used his mind-control ability either, understanding, that it wouldn't be safe. Fortunately, shortly before this accident Moonstone gave him human rapier, old, but still strong, so Opal could protect himself.
Ever since then Fire Opal moved from place to place, trying to stay alone from society, feeling that talking to any other gem would be lower than him, pretty much like before. And it would be very unfortunate for him to meet with any other gem soul, lost on this planet, forcing him to talk.
