The rose field, to some it was a pleasant place to take a stroll, perhaps gather some flowers to smell them. Maybe you would want to bask in the scenery of area or take a nice nap in the rose beds! A pleasant memory.
But for some, the rose field was hell, those like Obsidian, whose world has been turned upside down ever since she first landed on this rocky planet, constantly attacked by her enemies just because she was doing her job... A not-so pleasant memory.
It has been some time since her first landing, Obsidian sat in her chair, her eyes staring intensely at the remains of her command post, her ship was finally done for due to it's lacking resources and maintenance. Thus having the ship anchor it's dying breath on the rose field, where it all began.
Her Pearl had escaped from her clutches long ago, no where to been since again, her last remaining pearl and she was gone from her grasp. Not only did she lose her only assistant but she had now contracted the infection known as "Corruption" due to her lucky encounter with a Spinel, she managed to control her corruption with enough force. Obsidian stood up from her chair and glanced at the entrance to the hallway of the ship, from where a couple of Automaton's had been guarding the area for Obsidian safety.
She sighed, the only loyal companions in her entire life were her own creations..
Nevertheless, Obsidian walked past them. It was time for her plan to enact.
The final plan she had decide to enact was to set free the automatons and let them "Scavenge" and "Create" a small colony of their own. In other words, restocking. This plan was made in case Obsidian was shattered and let someone else carry her work in her passing.
But Obsidian isn't dead but regardless of that fact, Obsidian still enacted the plan, she finally exited the ship where her remaining automatons are floating about. She gulped, fighting back the urge to hug them and keep them tight in her brace, these automatons where her children, she created and care for them, to set them free and without no control.. it is like certain death for some of them. With a deep inhale, "Seek" she said calmly as she can. Without a moment's notice, the automatons floated away upon hearing the codeword all but one automaton. It was the first automaton Obsidian had created, the first automaton did not have the codeword implemented into it's codex thus being able to stay with Obsidian.
Obsidian smiled sweetly as the Automaton landed itself upon her open palm. She carried it to a warp-pad, leaving behind her beat-down ship with no supplies. She activated the warp-pad, teleporting herself and the automaton to another destination.
