Name: Danburite | Facet - 1D4N Cut - 8UR
Appeared Gender: Masculine (Uses feminine pronouns)
Appeared Age: Mid twenties
Gemstone: Triangular
Gemstone Location: Back of left hand
Faction: Homeworld
Corrupted: N
Appearance - (Credit to Disney)
Personality: Danburite, by nature, is one of the weakest Gems - both for physical activity and combat purposes alike. Due to this, Danburite is naturally very timid, unsure about any new thing and more interested in sticking with what she knows. When not nervous (I.e.: with someone from Homeworld) she tends to be quiet and subservient, fully engrossed in the role she was made for without much hesitation. Danburite does not know much about Earth, and to that extent - is truly terrified of it.
Likes: Playing Music | People who appreciate her | Making friends (with lower class Gems) | Homeworld (for now)
Dislikes: Earth (for now) | Silence | People who take her for granted | Most upper class Gems
Fears: Fighting | Rebels | Meeting new people | Losing the ability to play music
Weapon: Chakram (Throwing disc)
Ability 1: "Rapid Reformation": In line with being poofed constantly to reform to a shape that pleases Danburite's host, she is able to reconstitute her physical form rather quickly (For RP purposes, this is about four posts if she pushes herself)
Ability 2: "Portable Player": Danburite is able to use her weapon to play most types of music through shifting the inner working of the disc. This can range anywhere from classical violin, to modern dubstep.
History: No stranger to high expectations and constant reformations, Danburite is part of a caste of gems that find themselves in the 'wedge' of society. They are Homeworld's rare 'entertainers', serving higher echelon Gems - usually through music - as a reward for exceptionally good service or for victories in battle. As part of the rarity of this type of Gem, Danburite has been along for eons, dutifully performing her role as a performer for other gems. Though Danburite holds immense respect and subservience for the Diamonds, she has never really been 'under' one for long, shifting ownership as they saw fit. This monotonous existence seemed to be continuing when she was sent to Earth to keep Blue Diamond's court soothed while the development of the colony was underway. Having traveled with a Sapphire from some time, everything changed when the rebellion started - and the Sapphire she had been following joined in. Fearful as she was woefully inexperienced with fighting, Danburite fled into the wilderness and has laid low on Earth for sometime, hoping to eventually get rescued by Gems she knows they must have sent after her. For now, she tends to avoid contact with anybody and is suspicious of any Gem that doesn't brazenly display a Homeworld affiliation.
Character Arcs:
- Realizes that the other Gems forgot about her, causing her to question her value to Homeworld
- Plays music for Humans, enjoying the admiration they give her for her skill, unlike other Gems
- Meets a passionate rebel and learns about why they rebelled
- Fuses with someone for the first time
