After her adventure in the tundra, Moonstone had activated the solitary warp pad in hopes to teleport back to the temple from which she had been before the trip to the tundra but this was not the case as she found herself at a tall, spiralling, blue tower. She had seen other structures like this from her years working on homeworld and from what she had seen she could safely assume this was a spire of some sorts for elites like herself, yet she never got to experience these sorts of things for what she was used for.
She shook the memories of homeworld off and was about to warp back but realised she didn't have anything waiting for her back at the temple since she had no friends in the rebellion or anywhere else and she had never experienced these elite places and thought she should explore and see what it was like to. She took a step into the spire and saw all the detail put into the walls, stairs, floor and ceiling. "The bismuths that built this place must have spent ages on this spire..." She mumbled to herself, climbing the spiralling stairs to the next floor.

"...let me tell you, it is the best place I've been. Well, besides the Forge, but that is a moot point. Welcome to-" Imperial Topaz cut herself off as she took in her surroundings, Phenakite guard stepping in place behind her. "My Clarity. It is more than likely that you are already aware - but this location is not our intended destination." Topaz brought a hand up to her chin and stroked an imaginary beard. "Well, this is certainly odd. I swear we fixed the wrong warp glitch decades ago. Oh well, let's just go back."
Phenakite nodded, stepping back up onto the pad, arms folded behind her back. Once Imperial Topaz stood next to her, she outstretched the limbs in order to activate the pad - but nothing happened. "My Clarity. The warp pad appears to be malfunctioning."
"So it seems." Topaz grumbled. "Guess we're having a field trip to the Sea Spire. I mean, really! Look at the shoddy craftsmanship of this place. I can't believe they commissioned that other Topaz to build it. Every other structure on this planet - perfect! As expected of me. This place? Nooo, my understanding of gravity fields was a bit small and they pass it off to someone else." With only a tiny scowl, Topaz began to ascend to the next floor slowly, Phenakite trailing behind.
Moonstone was looking around at the building on the second floor, she thought she had never taken such time to study a building like she was doing at this moment. She was almost in a trance captivated by the buildings beauty but was soon broken from it when she heard two sets of footsteps climbing the stairs.
Not knowing who it was she panicked and looked for a place to hide, unfortunately for her the room was an open space with nothing to hide behind or in and she was too high up to jump. Moonstone saw the figures reach the top of the stairs and stood there in panic and shock, frozen by fear not knowing if the huge gem in front of her was from home world or not but what she did know is that she could easily be shattered by this gem without her even trying.

Topaz, distracted by her constant chattering, had not been the first one to see the Gem despite being the first up. Phenakite, however, upon spotting the Gem immediately Jumped up the last few steps, whipping out her shield and summoning her falchion midair before crashing down next to the newcomer, weapon pointed at them as she settled into a defensive stance. "Identity yourself! This structure has been decommissioned, and you stand before the For- er, nevermind. Just state who you are!"
Glancing over at the small, demure Gem, Imperial Topaz sighed and made her way over, gently pushing Phenakite's sword to the side. "Whoever she is, we won't get any answers if you poof her with shock - look! She's frozen to the spot in fear." Clicking her tongue, Topaz knelt to be eye level, yet still a safe distance away. "I'll just restate her question - can you tell us who you are and what you are doing here?"
Moonstone was shocked by what was going on, she didn't know their alignment and the little gem seemed to be extremely hostile but who she could presume as either their owner or the gem they were assigned too, if they were indeed on home worlds side of the war. She was still in shock but less so when the bigger gem seemed to be less dangerous or not dangerous at all.
It took her a second to collect her thoughts before she spoke, "I.. I uh... I'm Moonstone." She took a half step back getting prepared to run if she needed too, to her it was looking that way but the armoured gem in front of her was keeping her from doing so. "Who... who are you, two?" She looked between the tiny yellowish gem and the extremely taller red gem. Though she wasn't sure if the gem herself was red due to her being coated in red armour but it was likely all in all she actually didn't know their gem type even though she had seen many gems in her many many years of existing.

Phenakite scowled underneath her helmet, as she could've sworn the other Gem mocked her size - not that she had proof of any kind. So what if she wasn't as tall of a typical Quartz? Gripping her weapon tighter she stepped closer, disregarding the look Topaz gave her. "I am Phenakite 8Y2U-6UA. You've no right to ask for T- this other Gem's. You shall answer the second part of the question - what business have you in an abandoned Gem structure?"
Topaz sighed, giving Moonstone a sympathetic glance from under her helmet before shrugging. "She's right. We need to know who is traversing a place like this when no body has been using it for quite a bit of time. Cooperation will help you get out of this faster, I promise."
She was almost 100 percent sure these were home world gems, maybe they would capture her and bring her back to home world if they knew she was a renegade gem or maybe just shatter her right there but she needed to reply to them anyway. Lying about her faction didn't help her too much with her last experience with another gem on earth didn't work out so well so she decided to tell the truth. If they tried to harm her she decided she would risk it, jump and run for the warp.
Admittedly she didn't know how to use it right and could end up anywhere but it was better than being broken or whatever else home world does to rebels. "I... I'm a rebel and I was just looking around earth please don't shatter me though I will leave right away so you can continue with whatever mission you are on or doing." Moonstone spoke rather quickly but not to the point where she couldn't be understood. She looked at the both of them desperately as to almost silently plead they don't harm her and let her leave. As her time as a spy so to say she saw rebels being captured all the time by home world but never knew what they did to the rebels and always feared the worst.

All was silent for a moment, and Phenakite twitched - seemingly about to do... something, when Imperial Topaz simply straightened up and huffed. "You should be more careful. If I had been someone else, I can guarantee that you'd be poofed by now." She examined the shorter Gem, and found that her physical appearance of quivering and misty eyes seemed to betray no lies in what she was saying. "...In any case. As long as you aren't simply baiting Gems into an ambush, I see no reason not to let you stay and 'look around if you are so inclined'."
"My Clarity." Phenakite spoke calmly, sword tip angled towards the ground. "This Gem has literally just admitted to high treason."
"So she has." Topaz replied, tilting her head. "What of it?"
Dismissing her weapon and sheathing her shield, Phenakite rubbed her head and blew literally smoke from her nostrils. "As you say, my Clarity. I am, however, obligated to inform you that we are highly encouraged to deal with lone rebels when possible."
Moonstone was surprised to say the least that a home world gem actually listened to her begging, she thought this was extremely different and for a second thought that the gem might be lying about her loyalty to the diamonds but threw that out the window when she was reminded of the shorter gems presence, they were from home world but definitely on the lighter side.
It took her a second to pull herself from these thoughts when she heard her speak again. "I know... but why aren't you just poofing me if you mind me asking. Most home world gems wouldn't even let me talk right now they would have just gotten it over with already." She knew her asking was risky but she was curious and couldn't leave with just her life at this point, she wanted answers.

"I don't particularly enjoy combat - or poofing non combative Gems. I am curious to what you are doing here, that much is true..." Topaz titled her head, looking down upon the other Gem. "...But I've no reason to believe you are seeking to cause me or my guard harm."
Phenakite shifted around nervously, glancing around at the near weightless scenery, the constant rushing sound of thousands of pounds of water putting her on edge. This new Gem - an admitted rebel no less! - along with her master's clear dismissal of proper worry and procedure was not exactly doing wonders for her, so she simply settled with scowling at the blue Gem, trying to make it clear she held distaste for her.
Moonstone figured that these homeworld gems wouldn't attack her or at least the bigger gem would keep her guard from attacking her so maybe she could ask some more questions. "You are very different from most homeworld gems, what gem type are you? And why are you two here?" She was starting to get more interested in this conversation than scared, but what was keeping her scared was the obvious hostility and malice from the small guard.
She made eye contact with the guard and didn't know what to do so she gave an awkward smile, what had she gotten herself into now? Not even a month into her stay in the rebellion she managed to get herself in contact with not only one but two home world gems that could shatter her whenever they wanted to, she kind of knew they wouldn't but the whole scenario was terrifying to her. She still didn't know why they were here, maybe they were going to fix the spire up for home world gems, maybe they were trying even harder to take back the earth now. She felt like she was over-thinking things again and knew she was freaking herself out, she decided to just wait for a response.

"Curious one, aren't you? Especially considering the circumstances you are in." Topaz leaned closer - more so that she could get a better feel for this Gem's emotion than an intimidation technique. "I'm Imperial Topaz, and as I'm sure you know this is Phenakite, my guard." She leaned back again, mimicking the motion of examining one's nails as she let out an audible 'hmmm'. "As for your other question, I don't think I should really tell you. Fairness and all aside, what would you have done if we weren't so friendly?"
"Quiver in fear - like the lot of rebels once they realize who they're up against." Phenakite quipped, looking Moonstone up and down. "Just look at her - she doesn't look like she could hurt a Ruby if she tried."
Moonstone laughed in slight fear awkwardness and slight anger towards the end as she heard phenakite speak. She had never seen an Imperial Topaz before but knew they were of high status, she lifted her hands to do the diamond salute but stopped half way as she was still getting used to abandoning all of Homeworlds' ideals "I'm not sure... I would've probably jumped off of this edge and hoped I would make it to the warp before you both were able to poof me." She laughed in awkwardness again.
"And as for what you said I might not want hurt a ruby but at least I don't have the ego big enough for a diamond." She glared at Phenakite with her shiny green eyes, even though she didn't have pupils or an iris or anything else most other gems are equipped with, her eyes still gave off the same glare as a gem with normal eyes. She turned back to Imperial Topaz. "But anyway... could you please tell me why you are here, my oh so wondrous clarity." She said in a fake overzealous tone and giggled a bit, starting to get a little less worried as she thought she was getting safer.

Phenakite growled at both the Gem's words and attitude - the audacity of her! Resummoning her weapon, its tip level against her head. "Watch your tongue. cur." She growled. "Topaz's protection will extend only so far before I shatter you."
Topaz's face, for a moment, twisted into a grimace before she simply looked back at moonstone. "Phenakite, weapon down. That's an order. And you... I appreciate the attempt to lighten the mood, but you'd be better not provoking her." The red Gem held a small debate within herself - before deciding that admitting an honest mistake would most likely not lead back to hurting her. "And honestly... we got here accidentally. Our warp stream malfunctioned and we ended up here. ...Shoddy piece of work."
"Oh that's what happened to me! I was heading back to the city but I think the warp streams get mixed together. I'm not sure how to fix it though, I'm obviously not a technician." Moonstone wanted to apologise to Phenakite but thought it probably wouldn't help with anything judging by her previous actions, thinking about it more she would probably just insult her even more.
"But is there any kind of way to get out of her now other than walking for who knows how long? If the warp is down we can't get anywhere and when it is working we could end up anywhere, a place probably a lot more dangerous than the sea spire." She tried to think about ways to get home other than walking but nothing was coming to her mind.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
