The beachhead was busy as ever, kids running through the sand making competition with each other as they built sand-castles and other various shapes to their liking. The adults were doing what adults mostly do at the beach, watching from on the coastline in retainers or laid out on fancy towels and sheets as they chaperoned the various children rushing about—terrorizing as they usual do. Or at least that’s how Hematite would define such a scene, she loved human’s, but human children still always weirded the fusion out, especially infants.
The fusion, who, resting in her own recliner, found herself more and more in love with the large built-in parasol hanging above her, a wonderful gift from Lloyd that was making her especially lazy today. She knew she had plenty of things to be working on in the shop, but after spending literal days crafting countless torinoko’s, hyakudama’s and even a fully functional tachi, she felt a small break was in order and took to the beach.
The fusion wore a beach-style long-dress blouse, it was strangely a pure white just like her hair—an elaborate transformation on its part to look and feel like an outfit—which accompanied most of her human disguises and completely undone, exposing her body which was adorned in a one piece-bathing suit with quite the frills and décor. A glass of fruit juice in her hand and a small cooler filled with all kinds of sweets and delectable on the other side of her.
She sighed, her thoughts shifting, she’d ping her empathic sonar here and there, she really couldn’t completely unwind around this city, no matter where she went—but it was definitely better than running around Empire City knowing some crazed lunatic of a sapphire was after you. The nerve of that one, she was happy it’d been months since she’s seen that little broad. She’d pulled out the tablet-phone she had, checking if Ari or Lloyd had sent any messages, pinging her sonar as she got lost in its interface.
