Suddenly regretting her decision to give them another question, Ame just stared blankly for a second. In her foggy-minded rambling she'd revealed so much as to draw suspicion toward herself, aside from her generally cagey behavior, but she hadn't expected 7XB to be at all curious about one of many amethyst door guards.
"Uh--w-whats going on?" She grinned, then gave a shrug,"You know, I think that's something I'll have to figure out, because I'm not really all that sure," A nervous laugh trickled from her as she began actively back pedaling away from the clear quartz,"Maybe the Diamonds are the only ones who know what is really going on," A terrifying thought nonetheless, especially when compared to things she'd witnessed and learned about the goings-on of colonization.
She swallowed. What if this was her chance to make a stand, to show Homeworld that the rebels weren't just a hodgepodge of defected gems, but rather a collective of comrades whose strong values were just different? What if she could even get 7XB to see things her way, the Crystal Gem way? After a moments thought, Ame decided that such an attempt would be ludicrous; a gem who had been fighting for a cause for hundreds, possibly thousands of years as far as she knew, would likely not abandon that cause.
Feeling that the question had been answered enough, she cleared her throat,"Well, I'm late for a game of hockey, catch you on the flip side space trooper!" She gave a half-hearted salute, and swiveled on her heel to take off
A regretful, almost mournful look, passed over the quartz gem’s face as Amethyst began talking herself into circles yet again, backpedaling in a repeat of their altercation just minutes ago. If they had been even touch unsure as to 6UE’s uncertain loyalties before, now the grizzled quartz gem was painfully certain that they had been correct all along. But without hard proof, even though it was the logical conclusion, they could not act- In that regard, the catastrophe at the quarry, apparently the eventual burrow for the Lotus, came to mind.
“6UE..” they sighed lightly, drifting off almost painfully as they struggled over what to say, losing it until their stony-cold gaze lifted again to the cosmos, and they were able to find their tonight once again. “Homeworld it..it's beautiful, you know?” It was a question, a sharply pointed one, laced with everything they knew but couldn't say to this wayward Amethyst, “I hope you'll get to see it. Someday.” But that was dependant on the choices the young gem made. “When you've seen as much of the universe as I have..you learn how unimportant individual places are in the.. Grand picture.” Their eyes fell upon her again, accusing. “Step lively then, if you're in such a hurry.” There was a time for this fight, but it wasn't now.
7XB's icy voice snagged Ame before she could take off, and her shoulders hunched up as they continued to speak charged words. It was difficult not to simply fall in line; perhaps it would be better for her to just take 7XB's word for it and go back to her abandoned post, but she kept her back turned to them as the veteran warrior spoke. Her eyes trailed from the winding concrete path she'd taken up to this point, light falling delicately onto the hard surface, up to an old door hanging by its rusted hinges.
From their word choice, Ame suspected that they had come to a conclusion about her that would surely, eventually, reach the ears of her old superior, the aristocratic investigator. However, her brows furrowed when the clear quartz commander didn't immediately fly into action to detain her. Did they have doubts, or was something else going on? At any rate, she had the incredible urge to bite back at theirgrand-picture narrative, to tell them why they were wrong, why Earth was already perfect the way it was, and why everyone living here needed to be protected from gemkind, from her own kin. Her fingers curled into her palms, and her shoulders fell. Maybe another day she would be in a better place to give 7XB a piece of her mind, but for now she was simply glad they were letting her go.
"Thanks," She said, glancing back with a small, reluctant smile. It was a fundamental disagreement, but it remained that the commander was wise, and she'd learned a lot from them in her short time knowing them. With that she looked toward the door, and stepped off with haste to meet back up with Moh.
The Quartz soldier stared solemnly after the Amethyst as she turned to make her exit- this time for real. They could tell by the way she spoke, the way she held herself, that 6UE was holding her tongue- A combination of 7XB’s skilled eye, honed to a fine edge over their many years of service, combined with the general sense of understanding that just seemed to exist between Quartz gems of any kind, was all they needed to see the conflict brewing, unabated, in Amethyst's core. She saw the logic in what 7XB was saying, surely, heard the truth of their words whether it was what she wanted to hear or not. Part of her wanted to listen to the senior Quartz, to turn her back to whatever lies those Crystal Gems had told her and fall back in line with the gems she had likely known all her life, but the Earth had already set it's hooks in too deep- It was tragic for 7XB to watch it real-time, a deep sigh passing their lips as she turned to face them a final time before departing, leaving them alone with their thoughts..
The Earth had stolen another perfectly good gem, it seemed, but the stars themselves would claim them personally before they allowed Padparadscha to meet the same fate..
This Site will likely have unmarked Spoilers for the entirety of the Steven Universe Franchise, it is recommended that you go watch the show if you have not already before looking around the site.
Note: This Roleplay is an AU to Steven Universe, with its own Story to tell that will deviate from the show. While the show focused on Rose’s Son Steven, The RP instead presents an AU, where Rose started the rebellion conflict in modern day instead of 6000 years ago, and the story focuses on the conflict between the Homeworld loyalists, and Crystal Gem Rebels.

Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
•Within the Show, Rose Quartz Rebelled against Homeworld 6000 years ago. On the Site she waited and only started the rebellion in 2013
•In the Show, Pink Diamond was Shorter then the other Diamonds, and only had a short time commanding her Colony before the rebellion started. On the Site, as Rose Hesitated, Pink has had several thousands of years experience in managing her colony, and additionally is of a height and stature the same as Blue and Yellow Diamond.
•In the Show, the Colony was very early in production before the rebellion happened, thus explaining the lack of frequent Gem structures on Earth. In the Roleplay, the Earth has the same amount of Gem structures as the show, buts its because construction on Pink's colony was very slow due to Earth being on the furthest Edge of the Gem empire
•In the Show, the Crystal Temple was implied to have been built after the Rebellion, On the Site, its implied to have been retrofitted from a Homeworld Temple structure.
