Personality:
+ Improvisational (Whether it be a clever quip or a battle strategy, Obsidian is highly capable when it comes to thinking on her feet.)
+ Even-tempered (It's not often that Obsidian allows her real feelings to be portrayed to the world around her and even rarer that she loose her cool.)
+ Meticulous (When given a task or duty, Obsidian will see it through to full completion with a careful eye.)
+ Diligent (Similar to her meticulous nature, Obsidian always finished any tasks given to her in a timely manner.)

+ Witty People (Quipping is something Obsidian enjoys to do, and it is easier to do with other witty people.)
+ Accomplishing a Goal (There's nothing more satisfying to Obsidian than finishing something she has been working hard on.)
+ Earthlings (For some reason, Obsidian finds most earthlings adorable and goofy.)
+ Those Weaker Than Her (Not to say she won't take advantage of weaker beings, but she does enjoy protecting them and making them happy when it doesn't affect her personal agenda.)
- Higher Authorities (Obsidian does not fare well being bossed around. That's not to say she won't do what she's told, she just gets annoyed when being told what to do.)
- Emotions (While Obsidian won't hide what she believes, she often suppresses any emotions that come with her beliefs. In addition, she will almost never make decisions based off her emotions. She's a tiny bit emotionally constipated.)
- Fighting (Fighting is something Obsidian would rather avoid. She can fight, and she can do it well. However, she will always choose alternative ways to solve issues if at all possible due to how easily her gem can shatter.)
- Herself (Obsidian is completely aware of the fact that she can be cut throat and narcissistic. She honestly hates being that way, but she believes she has no other options if she is to survive in the world.)

Form One
(As seen in picture.)
A large chain mace with an adjustable chain size of up to ten feet. In this form, the mace portion can be flung off as a projectile and be reformed quickly back onto the chain. However, she can only summon one spiked ball at a time. This means that she must wait for the mace to either hit the target or miss before she can summon a second one. The first will then evaporate once the second is summoned. This form is ideal for ranged combat.
Form Two
The chain on the mace completely retracts making it more suited for close quarters combat. In this form, the bottom of the handle also expands very slightly making it suitable for a small shield.
Ability 1:
Sid
A small golem summonable by Obsidian. It is 3 feet tall and can come in a state of lava or obsidian depending on the scenario. Sid can speak very basic words like hi, bye, yes, no, ecetera, but he can not go beyond this basic vocabulary. Sid does have his own personality, but it changes wildly between forms.
In Battle:
In battle, Sid takes on a state of lava. He generally looks like mound of rock with legs, arms, and rough facial features with veins of lava flowing all over his body. In this form, Sid can throw small balls of lava as projectiles or directly burn his opponents if he fights in hand to hand combat. In this state, should he be kicked apart or smashed, he can turn completely molten and easily reform by the next post. Once activated, Sid can only stay in this state for the equivalent of two posts. Once cooled down, he can return to this state after an additional two posts.
Obsidian considers this Sid's enraged form. He can not carry out any tasks other than basic fighting commands, and will act very aggresive even if out of battle while in this form.
Out of Battle:
Should Sid be summoned out of battle or simply battle so long that he cools back down, he will become a glassy obsidian golem with a basic body structure and rough facial features. In this state, he can be easily shattered with similar properties to glass. If he is shattered, it takes two posts for Obsidian to be able to summon him again. He can perform menial tasks such as search for items, carry things, or generally anything that does not require too much thinking.
In this form, Sid is very docile. He does not attack or attempt to hurt anything. He prefers to stay close to Obsidian and will occasionally try to cuddle up to her. When out of battle, Sid is basically a loyal dog that can speak basic words.
Ability 2:
Heat Resistance
This ability is rather self explanatory. Most levels of heat do not affect Obsidian in any way. She could dip her hand in lava and it would be like dipping her hand into a warm bath. Any heat related negative affects do not pertain to Obsidian.

- Loyal (This mostly refers to Obsidian's faction. After choosing a side, it is extremely unlikely that she will switch sides, even if given ample reason to.)
- Honest (Obsidian does not care much if something should or should not be said. If it is something she believes, she will tell the world around her without hesitation.)
- Workaholic (Obsidian is always looking for tasks to busy herself with, even if they can be trivial at times.)
- Witty (This can be alternatively called sassy, as Obsidian almost always has some smart comment to respond with even in serious situation where such comments should not be made.)
- Stubborn (It is near impossible to make Obsidian change her mind once she had decided something.)
- Cunning (When trying to accomplish anything, Obsidian's actions can often be ambiguous at best when viewed ethically.)- Indifferent (Obsidian does not care how her actions may be perceived or even how they affect others.)
- Selfish (Ultimately, Obsidian does not care much about others around her. She will take actions that benefit her even if that is not the case for anyone else.)

Fears:
- Betrayal (Obsidian bases her loyalty on the hope that it will be returned. One of the most potentially devastating things to do to her would be gaining her loyalty then betraying her.)
- Losing Everything (Every action Obsidian takes is based on self preservation. To lose her feeling of security in the diamond authority's ranks would mean she no longer feels safe.)
- Change (Obsidian can deal with small insignificant changes even if they affect her negatively. However, she is not good at coping with any change she feels will affect her permanently.)

History:
Obsidian was born in a desolate planet. It was known as Planet MG763-1 if she remembered its official title correctly. She was one of the last gems to be born on it, and from this, she came much smaller than ideal for an obsidian gem. Her body and gem were roughly two times smaller than the average obsidian. However, it was known that obsidians were hard to create. They required very specific conditions not to mention a completely different list of required minerals when compared to most gems. Simply put, it was not often the Diamond Authority found worlds with the right conditions to create such a gem. They needed extremely hot, almost furnace like worlds. More often than not, the worlds they came across would either be too cold for obsidians or too hot to inhabit. It was the classic Goldilocks scenario. Because of the obsidians' uncommon origin, Obi was not just used as a power cell like most other defective gems. She was given a chance.
For the first hundred or so years of her life, all Obsidian did was train; day in and day out. When they first put her to work, it was assumed she would literally crack under the pressure. Obsidians' actual gems were brittle enough as it was, but make it 2 times smaller than it's supposed to be and its a recipe for failure. She grew close to her mentor in this time. Her mentor was an obsidian, like herself, but an older and more experienced one. He was one of those painfully honest people. He would often remind Obsidian to protect her gem most in battle. If she did not focus on keeping it safe, someone would take advantage of the scenario and shatter her. At least, that was what he taught her. He would always remind her of how much more vulnerable she was than other obsidians. In his own words, "You're small. You're gem's small. Keeping fighting like your some tank and you'll be shattered in your first real fight." Although he was undoubtedly harsh, Obsidian knew it was for the best. Under his tutelage, she came to appreciate his personality and found him to be a good role model. By the time her training had come to an end, the two were close. He called her "Obi," and she called him, "Sid." It was a relationship she would hold onto for many years afterwards, and she would even name one of her abilities after him.
Defying the odds, Obsidian actually proved herself an intelligent strategist and a brilliant fighter with the excellent training of Sid. Her first real job was being a lackey in White Diamond's personal task force. It sounded high and mighty, but White Diamond's task force was actually quite large. There were many gems in it, and she was at the bottom of command. For a while it seemed as if she wouldn't be able to climb any higher due to her defective appearance. She was determined to be more than a lackey though. She would not allow her own puny gem to get in between her and her goals. In retaliance, she devised a plan to get recognized.
On the next mission she was assigned, she would be the only gem with fighting capabilities among a bunch of pompous gems from Blue Diamond's court. It was supposed to be no more than a show and tell of the newest colony under White Diamond's control. However, Obsidian knew there were hostiles on the planet. They were not supposed to go any where near the hostile territory in their tour, but that didn't mean Obsidian couldn't find some way to lure the hostile to them. In the time before the mission, she studied the terrain and territories of the planet extensively. She found that the native species, the hostiles, were not extremely intelligent. Their main drive seemed to be food. So all Obsidian had to do was stash some strongly smelling food near their path. She of course had to plant it where they would not have any other guards near. That would defeat the whole purpose of Obsidian's plan if someone else rushed in and saved the day. She ended up finding the perfect area where there would be no other guards and where if the bait was found, it wouldn't be so obvious it was planted. With all her planning, the mission went off without a hitch. The natives came to the food, started attacking the court members, and Obsidian easily defended them. Afterwards, the nobles showered her in praise, and she was promptly promoted.
This was the first in many instances of Obsidian scheming her way through ranks. She began to get quite good at setting up scenarios for herself where her superiors would notice her. Before long, she had worked her way into White Diamond's palace guard. It wasn't the most practical job seeing as White Diamond could easily defend herself, but it was a good place to be noticed. Like many times before, she took advantage of every scenario possible in order to gain acknowledgment from higher ups. She spent more time as a palace guard then she would have liked, but she did eventually make a breakthrough. Her next, and current, position was that of a military officer in White Diamond's personal task force. She had rounded back to the personal task force, but this time she was practically one of the highest positions. Under this job, her main duty was to learn of any threats to potential or new colonies and plan against said threats. So when news spread about the rebellion in a small planet the rebels were calling earth, she was made quite aware.
It all was so strange to her. Gems would be sent there on a mission, they would investigate, and they would often become rebels themselves. She truly could not understand what must be so special about that little planet. Now that she was a high ranked official, she saw a vast number of colonies. She could not deny that many were quite beautiful, and those colonies would often have intelligent life too. So what was different for this little place called Earth? After sending more investigative teams and them either drawing a blank or converting, Obsidian decided to take matters into her own hands. Through permission of her commander, she began a solo mission to Earth in order to thoroughly investigate the rebellion.

Character Arcs:
- Become more open to Earth and the change it brings. She could possibly become Crystal Gem. It just depends on her actions when I actually start to roleplay her.
- Get over her selfish habits. This will coincide with becoming more open to Earth, but it is a notable enough growth for me to separate the two arcs.
- If she does not become a Crystal Gem, it is likely she will still break off from Homeworld. She will face her fears over change if this arc ends up playing out.
