Once their hands made contact, Galena's gem began to shimmer. The shake of hands signified that the pact had been successfully sealed and their partnership begun here. With her calm smile, Galena seemed satisfied with the situation as their hands let go once again. As such, without an additional word, Galena would take her leave just as calmly as she had arrived. With one footstep after the other, she would walk the barren corridors until she was out of sight once more. With her departure also left the overwhelming presence that came with her and as such the mood was lifted. Amber squeezed his shoulder and stretched his neck briefly before setting his sights on Kornerupine.
"Right. Just this way." He replied, and began walking towards the opposite turn that Galena had walked. His amber-colored eyes settled on one of the injectors that were hanging from the walls in its seemingly undisturbed state. His glare persisted onto it as their path had them walking underneath it, before setting his sights forward again once they were past it. The Kindergarten was much like a maze as it lacked any distinguishable features no matter where you were. The gray rock, the several holes, and the unreachable sky above led much to be desired in terms of navigation aid. The only thing that betrayed the consistant pattern was the occasional injector that either hung from the walls or had fallen down and broken into pieces.
"The warps won't be safe to use for obvious reasons, so we will be taking the long route." Amber told Kornerupine as they navigated their way through the endless Kindergarten walls. The warps were the go-to way of running into a rebel that would most likely fight you on sight, especially when knowing that the rebels who attacked the outpost could still be near. Taking such a risk at this point could mean worse injuries than scratches to the gem.
"And by the way, you're welcome." Amber accepted Kornerupine's imaginary thanks. He had escorted Kornerupine to safety from the overrun outpost, given her the opportunity to speak with Galena, and is now escorting her to get her gemstone healed. The fact that she outranked him did not even seem to register as relevant on a planet where Homeworld lacked the power to enforce any of their laws. The faint sound of humming began again, although this time they were moving away from the tune and wouldn't have to worry about its effects.
