Csarite did not know this person. She knew what he looked like, she had a name she could speak, and they shared an invisible bond from within the frequencies of their gems. Yet despite all that, she could not know what he was thinking, nor what he was feeling. All she could do was remain still and quiet as he patted her on the head, speechless at his words. What was she to say? If he said things were alright, then they had to be alright. She clearly had evoked some memories within him, but whatever memories she had brought to him were far beyond her understanding. He had even thanked her, twice. Clearly the affair had ended with a positive result. So why did it all feed so sad?
"..you're welcome."
Her fingers moved to fidget with the strange cube as she remained sat once more, watching as he took his departure. Her silent solitude ever approaching, even as she reached out with a hand beckoning him to stay. Praying that the sun would bless her with its light for a few more moments before the darkness swept over the world once again. But of course, the sun did not wait for her wishes, and neither did reality bend to her will this time around either. The final thud of the door closing made that all apparent.
"..please don't go." she whispered under her breath, but her prayer was all too late. Her palette dampened into a dark blue as she shrunk away, hiding her face in her knees. She had no idea when next she'd get any visitors, or whether or not they'd be the sort of visitors she wanted to have. She just wanted to go home and forget about all of this.
