Spring was starting to reach this portion of the globe. It was still cold in the air, but the sun's prevalent rays slipped past the large masses of clouds floating high in altitude. The valley was vast, stretching as far as the eye could see. The only obstruction were the towering mountain ranges, white in color and ragged in shape. If a human were to stand at the base and look up towards the top, they'd likely feel it to be a hopeless endeavor unless they were properly geared for such a journey. However, such a hypothetical was meaningless in an area devoid of humans. Neither were there any gems here. This place was far away from it all.
The valleys themselves were filled with tall grass, dancing alongside the breeze which seemed to fluxuate in strength. One could likely feel themselves being shoved around by the occasional rush, a power so enormous that even most gems have difficulty shrugging it off. Of course, there was one gem who dared to brave these fields anyway. Actually, they were a pair. The one who had led them here was none other than the white-red paletted gem, Vanadinite, clad in a darker sweater with long ivory hair riding the winds. Her red eyes focus onto the mountain top, knowing exactly where her destination was.
"We're getting close." Vanadinite spoke to her comrade. Prior to this, she had made the offer to go hunting for corrupted gems together. This place in particular was somewhere Vanadinite had previously tracked a corrupted gem to, believing it to be its hideout.
"See that mountain top? There's some old ruins from the first colonies there. I think that's where it's hiding."
Despite Vanadinite's ability to have tracked its movements, she did not know much about it. Only that it was smart enough to stay away from civilization, and powerful enough to control a large area. To her knowledge it was her first time actually coming here, and she was excited to be doing so with a capable friend. Her red eyes looked over to Obsidian, wanting to make sure they were ready for this. "Ready for some climbing?"
