Trouble Usually Finds Me (Closed with Fey)

[Spinel]

The Kindergartens were strange places for Spinel.  He had been to them before, but he had not had to actually work in one before.  Spinel was moved to work in the Kindergarten on a relatively peaceful planet, but he had no idea why.  It was nice to meet the new Gems, however, and he had a nice quarters.  In fact, he was doing much better here than he had been doing before, working on some old warship that was going to fall apart soon anyways.  

Spinel held up an electronic checklist.  "Alright, 10 down and only 2 more to go."  Today, it was Spinel's job to welcome the new Gems, answer all their questions, etc.  He walked up to his next hole, completely unaware of what was about to happen.

"Let's see, if this one is successful, it should be a Black Onyx."  He got on one knee, and waited for the "birth" to happen.

[Fey Onyx]

The foundation quakes and cracks, breaking and opening the ground around the newly formed gem, but unusual thick black smoke starts rising from the rift, scented of what resembles some form of sulfur or other dangerous element. inside, nothing can be seen as of yet, as the smoke is too thick. there is a slight snarling sound from within, along with some motion. After a few moments, a small voice speaks through the smog

"Wareware wa sore ga shō taimu' S... Mezamemasu!" ( "We awaken... IT'S SHOW TIME!" )

Something bursts out of the smoke filled hole, heading in the direction of Spinel at fast speeds. all that can be told from the smoke is the blur rushing towards the guard quickly.

[Spinel]

Spinel quickly looked up and noticed what seemed to be sulfuric gas leaking from the hole. "Uh oh..." He made a call to the Gem that assigned him to the birthing. "What is it?" "Yes, we seem to have an issue..." "Well deal with it!" "Sir, I don't think you understand, I'v-"  "No, I don't think YOU understand!  Every day someone calls in with an "Issue", and it always turns out fine!  Just deal with it!" Spinel sighed.  "Yes, sir."  He closed the connection, and heard the Gem speaking some strange language.  Spinel opened the connection back up.  "Uh, sir, I've never seen this before."  "Dammit, Spinel!  DEAL. WITH. IT." "Sir! This is-" Spinel sighed.  "Closed the connection...  Figures."  

Something came out of the hole, going quite fast.  'Finally, something normal.' Gems sometimes ran out of their holes, and it was a sign of having a sporadic personality.  He simply held out his left hand, waiting for what the Gem would do. 

(OOC:  The thing he was talking through was some wrist communication device, by the way)

[Fey Onyx]

The fast moving blur of the gem jumps up and over Spinel, reaching to touch Spinels forehead during the acrobatic leap.

"Anata ga dekiru baai wa, orokamono watashi o kyatchi!" ( "Catch me if you can, FOOLS!" )

The gem pauses a moment, and many get a look at the ghastly figure. It appears to have a skull for a head, and a tall slim figure.

The smoke continues to pour into the area, making vision difficult.

The gem rushes several other guards, dodging attacks with ease and doing odd things such as pushing guards when they are off balance from a weapon swing or kicking guards it gets behind in the rear. By the time many can catch up, the gem is balanced on top of a random guards head, ready to jump off if the guard moves.

[Spinel]

"Uhm... Okay." Spinel watched what the strange Gem was doing. "What?" Spinel looked quite confused, the Gem had a skull for a face? Spinel stood and walked to another guard, still watching the strange Gem. "Yeah, I'm confused. Have you seen this before?" "Never..." The guard simply watched the figure, and Spinel gave chase. "Look, we aren't gonna hurt you, just sit still!" To Spinel's surprise, the Gem actually did sit still, balancing on the head of another guard.


Spinel ran towards them, stopping when he was about 3 meters away from them. "Don't move... I think it's just confused. We can talk, can't we? I'm Spinel, I'm a friend." "This thing's mindless!"  yelled the guard that the Gem was sitting on. She quickly summoned her weapon, a morning star, and swung it at the Black Onyx.

[Fey Onyx]

The gem went to say something, but was interrupted by the guard and it jumps off as she swings, possibly making it hurt itself.

"Oya oya,-dōshimashita no? Oso sugimasu ka?" ( "Aw, what's the matter? too slow?" )

it then starts making a cracking noise followed by cackling

"S..pi...nel... Slow."

it bursts into laughter before rushing at another guard, slide dashing between its legs and then back-flipping onto its head. (or back if it leaned over.) then jumping on top of a near by building, where it summons an odd dagger flute and begins playing a taunting tune, nice and slow as if to insult the guards of their slowness

[Spinel]

Spinel sighed, pushing the orange Gem guard out of the way, consequently making her fall over. "You're useless." He said to her, and continued chasing the Black Onyx. "S..pi...nel... Slow." "Oh, so you can speak? You confuse me more than you anger me, little one." It then began playing a nagging tune quite slowly. Spinel smiled, and thought he could play his game. "Why'd you stop running? Gettin' tired already?" He summoned a chakram, threw it into the side of the roof, and used it to get onto the roof much easier.

(OOC: I stopped there so Spinel wouldn't be right next to Fey, as he's probably going to start running or something before he gets up there.)

[Fey Onyx]

Black Onyx laughs out more

"Anata wa omoshiroidesu! Anata wa, watashitachi ga tsūka shite iru to omoimasu. Anata wa hijō ni machigatte imasu!" ( "You are funny! You think we are through. you are very wrong!" )

the odd gem suddenly removes the skull, showing his true face before sticking his tongue out at Spinel, then putting his mask back on before starting to run and harass the guards more with his chaotic trickery.

One guard attempts to use force, but the gem is too swift for him, causing the guard to cut his own left arm off. the guard screams out in pain, and Onyx just laughs at this, seeming to think it fun. other guards begin to report the incident occurring.

[Spinel]

"Anata wa omoshiroidesu! Anata wa, watashitachi ga tsūka shite iru to omoimasu. Anata wa hijō ni machigatte imasu!" Spinel laughed at the Gem. "I don't understand a word you're saying, you know. If you're taunting me, you might wanna do it right." Spinel made it onto the roof and the Gem took the skull off, and stuck his tongue out at Spinel. "Wow, you look just as ugly as you act!"

Spinel chased the Gem once more, and saw one guard attempt to stop the Gem, but failed miserably. He jumped down, and almost ran into the Gem that recently lost it's arm. Spinel smiled, as he was leading this trickster into a two story building. He devised a plan to catch the Gem. "No, no, nobody can go in there! You can't go in there! Stop!"

[Fey Onyx]

The gem seems to be having fun until Spinel says the line about it being ugly. it stops and seems to glare at Spinel. the gem lets out a feral growl at the insulting gem.

Black Onyx throws the nearest thing at Spinel, having not taken that joke lightly.

Before Spinel could blink, The odd masked gem vanishes in a blur of purple, appearing 10 meters away near a different guard.

the guard gulps and goes completely still, and the odd masked gem jumps on its head and pulls out the dagger ocarina, looking at Spinel as the masked gem spins the dagger by one of its three loops. it is medium near the building, but it will be hard to get Onyx in.

[Spinel]

"Did, did you just growl at me?" Spinel said, laughing. 'This thing is so animalistic it's not even funny...' Spinel thought. When Spinel thought this couldn't get any worse, it threw a stone at him! "Oh, come on!" And then it disappeared? "Wha..?" Spinel looked around, then saw it on top of another guards head, appearing to keep it hostage. Spinel walked up to them, and when he was about three meters away, he stopped walking.

"Gee, I thought we were having fun. Sorry, I must have taken it out of hand, didn't I?" Spinel was quite a good liar, and he was taking this opportunity to read this Gem's personality, their fears, and their likes and dislikes. "I do that sometimes, I accidentally take things too far. You think you can forgive me?" He began 'nervously' looking at the building, looking as if he was trying to stop the Black Onyx from entering it.

[Fey Onyx]

Black Onyx growls violently when Spinel gets within 5 meters, but does stop to listen. upon Spinel looking away, the masked gem makes a run for the nearest exit from the kindergarten, completely ignoring the building. it runs with its dagger drawn and to the side, ready to deal harm if needed.

It seem Onyx is having a bit of a tantrum after being called ugly, or perhaps it was something else that was said.

while running, Black Onyx jumps over a female and jumps off of her head to gain extra height as to jump over a boundary wall that would prevent normal things from escaping. Black Onyx stops only for a moment to look around, trying to figure out where to go next.

[Spinel]

Spinel sighed, his plan was foiled. He started using his communicator again. "Yeah, you know how you told me not to worry, and just deal with it?" "Yes, what happened, Spinel?" "I'm going to make sure you are at least demoted for your failure as a leader." Spinel disconnected, and reconnected to the one who was actually in charge of the Kindergarten.

"Sir, we have a rogue Gem trying to escape. I believe them too dangerous to be allowed to escape, and am requesting a lockdown of the entire facility." "Yes, we've heard, and we have had the request many times before. In a few minutes, the lockdown will begin. It's your job to keep the Gem occupied." "Yes sir." Spinel disconnected, and just stared at the Gem, trying to figure out how to get it to come back down. Maybe insulting it more? Spinel looked up at the Gem, and began taunting it. "What's the matter? You can't take it anymore? Awww, poor Onyx, can't take a little insult. Where are ya gonna run? You don't have anyone to go to! You're all alone up there, and that's how you're gonna be for the rest of your life!"

[Fey Onyx]

Black onyx went to make his final break for freedom, but then he heard the taunting. he stops and slowly walks towards the edge of the building to look down at Spinel. very loud growling can be heard bit it slowly goes silent as Spinel gets to the last part. then it speaks clear as day

"... Spinal... jerk."

the masks eyes turn red as the beings eyes underneath become red with anger, and Black Onyx goes to start an attack, but very suddenly stops.

"We are above your level, and we refuse to stoop." said very boldly to Spinel.

A poor fool of a gem tries to sneak up and grab Black Onyx, but Black Onyx grabs the gem and flips him off the area down towards Spinel.

[Spinel]

Upon hearing the words clearly, Spinel had grown some respect for the rogue Gem. Then, the Onyx flipped a Gem off the roof, and Spinel ran to catch the person, and succeeded in cushioning the blow for them. "Then why did you do this? Why did you do any of this? Look, you almost killed two Gems, Onyx. I never meant any of the stuff I've been saying, I just needed you to go after me instead of the others. I needed you to stop hurting people. Sure, those that tried to hurt you deserved it, but the ones who did nothing didn't. Look, could you just-"

Suddenly, loud alarms started going off, and all doors to the outside began closing. "Lockdown in progress, please report to your station." An electronic voice repeated. Spinel smiled, and summoned a large amount of fog, sending it at the Black Onyx to block his vision.
