Appeared Gender: Female
Appeared Age: 20
Gemstone: Thulite (coral pink, opaque) and Tanzanite (royal blue, transparent and cut like a diamond)
Gemstone Location: The Thulite Gem is on her heart, and her Tanzanite Gem is on her forehead.
Corrupted: No
(If Corrupted)Monster Form: N/A
Appearance:
Zoisite is slightly above average height, with short dark green hair in a cute bowl cult, her fringe parted by the Tanzanite Gem. Her skin is pale yellow and her four eyes are half pink and half blue (the left pair blue and the right pink). Her sleeves are pink, but covered by a second green sleeve laced together on the back like a boot to create a pattern of diamond shapes across her arm, with the same pattern on her actual boots. She wears short puffy pants tucked into her boots like a ninja, and a cloth wrap around her waist separating it from her shirt, which is low-cut to show her Thulite Gem, the V-shape accentuated by a twin-tailed scarf, one half blue, one half pink, that she wears around the lower half of her face and hangs out behind her, both ends ending like a tie with the inner diamond shape in white.
Personality: Zoisite seems aloof, apathetic and uncaring, always speaking in monotone with a tiny hint of irritation or boredom, and though there ARE many things she doesn't care about, she's actually much more focused than she seems, being sort of a workaholic without much work who just happens to take a lot of things in her stride. She is fiercely loyal to Homeworld, to the point of being willing to die for their cause, even though she has never left earth and has no idea what their plans are, but at the same time she does not despise earth itself, finding it annoying and gross at worst and vaguely endearing at best. She has no qualms with killing humans if she was ordered to, but would really prefer not to, and would feel bad about it afterwards. Zoisite can be described as co-dependant, relying on "eachother" and also on authority figures for morality instead of finding it herself, though she just sees it as loyalty to a cause.
In the unlikely event that they are split apart, Thulite and Tanzanite are nearly identical- humans would call them twins, but there is an emphasis on "nearly".
Thulite represents inward confidence, Tanzanite represents outward confidence. Thulite is tough and isn't bothered by anything, but is quiet and sometimes lazy, while Tanzanite always has a quip prepared and is ready for work, but quietly is bothered by a lot of things that Thulite takes in her stride. Their connection is platonic, more like sisters than romantic, but they are so close and so perfectly in sync due to their similarities that they can and will remain Zoisite for a very long time.
Likes: Orders/objectives, meditation, exploration, Homeworld stuff
Dislikes: Sleep, Laziness/incompetence, pop music, rock music, loud noises in general, humans
Fears: Corruption, Splitting apart, Having to hurt a human, Having to hurt another Gem
Weapon: Tanzanite uses knuckle dusters while Thulite uses throwing knives, which combine to make Zoisite's ninja claws.
Ability 1: Supernatural Lightness, Zoisite is unusually light for her size, allowing her to run on water if she runs fast enough, control herself more easily in the air, and easily land harmlessly from huge heights.
Ability 2: Wind control, Zoisite can push and pull the air around her to give herself respite in a storm, or strike with the wind from a distance.
Fusions: None (other than herself)
History: Thulite and Tanzanite were both made on earth's Kindergarten, though they didn't actually meet for a few years, both awakening long after it was abandoned. By some fluke, they were almost identical and quickly bonded over these differences. Tanzanite was the pair's leader with Thulite quietly enforcing her confidence as the two set out to discover what they were supposed to do now, what Homeworld made them for, but they found no answers no matter how far they journeyed, and over the decades their friendship grew into an inseparable bond that created Zoisite. The two/one continued their search for answers to no avail, the humans not really having much interest or knowledge about gem stuff, but eventually her journey across the American continents lead her back to the area nearby the Kindergarten, and finally to Beach City and the Gem Temple.
Character Arcs: Tanzanite relies on Thulite for her own confidence, and Thulite relies on Tanzanite to be focused and social, Thulite is shy, Tanzanite is lonely, both of them will have to come to terms with that and overcome it.
Neither of them know what they want yet, so they latch onto each other, and as Zoisite, they latch onto a cause or belief bigger than them, the idea that Homeworld built them for a reason- especially once they actually see this transmission from Rose Quartz (which they have missed due to their isolation from other gems until now) and find out what that mission is.
Ultimately, she'll have to find out if she really wants what Homeworld wants, and when she realizes she doesn't, she'll have to try to find out what her own goal is.
