There were many things that could be said about how Carbonado felt at that very moment. However, for the sake of keeping it nice and clean for the children, let's just say he was annoyed. Very. Very. Annoyed.
The dark hued gem absentmindedly kicked at nothing as he stared at the warp, knowing that regardless of whatever he did, it would not take him back to Homeworld. He had already been to the space warp for what felt like a hundred times, and no matter how long he waited or whatever efforts he placed, all warp platforms except for the one leading towards the temple refused to do anything.
'Why did I even come to this damned rock?' Simply put, he had been curious. Plenty of gems had started moving to Earth for whatever reason. He had been pretty bored with how everything had been going back on Homeworld, so he had asked for a short leave from his superiors, thinking that perhaps putting his curiosity to rest would help him somewhat. Maybe there was something fun to do on Earth and the rest of the gems were being jerks and keeping it to themselves!
If only. The blue planet wasn't exactly bad, but it was far from what he had been expecting. It was filled to the brim with rather primitive lifeforms referred to as humans, something he knew from having read a short file on the planet before setting off. Humans weren't dumb or anything, being logical beings and such, but their technology left much to be desired.
The problem wasn't that, however. The problem was that by the time he had grown bored enough of the planet to try and return to homeworld... All but a single warp (which only served to traverse Earth) had suddenly stopped working, leaving him and a bunch of gems stranded across the Planet. With nothing interesting to do.
Granted, that wasn't too different from his situation back on Homerworld. At least some of the humans had an awesome taste in clothes and music, which helped him waste time.
Scratching the back of his head, he sighed. What was he supposed to do now? He was not accustomed to having nothing productive to do. Back at Homeworld, even though he was an un-deployed soldier, they always found some menial task to assign him.
Gritting his teeth, he once again threw a kick at nothing in particular, throwing a look around the place. He knew the temple was supposed to be hub of sorts for all the stranded gems in the human world; where was everyone else?
Turning his gaze towards the gates leading into the temple, he wondered if he should also go in. He would probably not find anyone, since his gem could only take him to two places; his own room, and the burning room.
"I have nothing to do in the burning room though." Not to mention his own room was pretty boring, if rather homely. It was good for an unnecessary nap and perhaps a few moments of solitude, but not much else.
