Name: Indicolite (Indy for Short)
Appeared Gender: Male
Appeared Age: 20-25
Gemstone: A single, squared, navy blue piece of Indicolite. (Blue Tourmaline)
Gemstone Location: One on his temple, more on the side of his head than the front.
Corrupted: (N)
(If Corrupted)Monster Form: (N/A)
Appearance: (Pshaw, my nonexistent artistic skills pale in comparison to my literary ones) Indicolite stands at about 5 feet and 5 inches with a build that is slightly skinnier than the average gem. His entire body is one shade of blue or another with the exception of his eyes, which are more of a sea-green type of hue. His hair is of medium length, dark blue, and is generally unkempt and messy. His face’s shape is that of an oval, as are his eyes, and his nose isn’t too pronounced.
Indy’s attire consists of a dark blue coat-type-thingy with a large collar, similar to an overcoat, and multicolored (all blue of course), patchy, pants. However, the coat only extends slightly past his waist, and is covered with various stripes of light blue. (I will fruitlessly attempt to sketch/draw him in the future)
It ain't easy drawing with a mouse :/
Personality: On the outside, Indicolite is an incredibly optimistic gem. He has a wide range of humor from dry to silly and enjoys messing with others. He is able to get along with almost anyone, or at least tolerate them enough to cooperate with them. However, he doesn’t particularly enjoy large groups but rather enjoys spending time with only a few other gems at any given time.
Although he exhibits an optimistic personality, Indicolite views things very objectively and commonly states the truth of the matter without adding any bias. This usually results in him looking very harsh when it comes to judging others/situations. Another byproduct of his objectiveness is his indecisiveness. He often has internal struggle when caught in a difficult choice because his is able to find both faults and benefits in all of his options. Indy uses his humor and easy-going personality to compensate for the fact that he is always thinking, whether it be about his choices, or just plain anxiety.
A positive aspect to Indy’s neutral views is that he is excellent in tactical thinking. What he lacks in strength and combat prowess, he makes up for in resourcefulness and on-the-fly tactics. He is able to understand complex problems fairly quickly and often uses his abilities and mind to find a solution. This doesn’t mean he is flawless, however, if in a state of panic or if he’s being pressured, he might make rash decisions, and he is very likely to make mistakes. Fortunately, he is also able to recognize when his emotions are clouding his judgement, and quickly regains control over himself.
Indicolite’s relationship with humans could be described as (surprise surprise) very neutral. He does, however, have a slight admiration and envy towards humans, as not only have they begun to quickly progress in technology, they are also capable of reproducing naturally, which Indy recognizes as invaluable. He understands gems, despite being pseudo-immortal, are fragile in the sense that the continuation of their species relies on unnatural means.
Indicolite believes that all things should be as practical as possible. He finds no use in creating fancy patterns in weapons, or any other things of the like. This doesn’t necessarily mean he cares not for artistic values and aesthetics, but he finds that things would be much easier if all creations were formed with solely their purpose in mind.
Likes/Dislikes: Indy particularly enjoys creating pretty much anything that he can, and he does so to improve himself in general. He also enjoys learning about combat tactics whenever he can, as well as learning about humans. On the flip side, he dislikes having to interact with humans too much because he finds that they are incredibly ignorant of the universe that they exist in. He also dislikes having to repeat himself because he believes it’s a incredible waste of time.
Fears: Indicolite’s greatest fears may be making major decisions that could change the course of his life, and the discontinuation of the gem species.
Weapon: Indy can summon a medieval styled short sword from his gem or it’s longer variant, a broadsword with the same proportions, but larger. It’s color scheme is very simple simply going from a dark blue at the handle, and slowly transitioning into a sky blue at the tip. The short sword is for one handed wielding, while the broadsword is for two handed wielding. The length of the shorter blade is 2 1/2 feet, and the length of the longer one is 4 feet.
Ability 1: Finger Welding - With a small amount of concentration, Indicolite is able to shoot out a very small, but hot, flame from a finger of choice. The flame itself can only be about 2 inches, but he is able to use this ability for a number of things, such as starting a larger fire, or welding metals together. Another thing that Indy can do with this ability is fix minor cracks in gems, albeit incredibly painfully and slowly.
Ability 2: Telekinesis - Indicolite also possesses telekinesis, but it is very limited. It’s range can only extend up to 5 meters away, he can’t pick up objects outside this range, but he can throw objects that are in range out of it. Another limitations is that he has to be able to physically move the object he is using his telekinesis upon. For example, if he is unable to push, pull, or lift his target, then he will also be unable to move said target with his telekinetic powers. With this rule in mind, if he is using telekinesis on multiple objects at once, he has to be able to lift the combined weight of all the objects, so he can lift 3 pebbles, but not 3 million. Indy also can't use his telekinesis to lift gems due to them using a magical aura, preventing unapproved magical interference. The final limitation is that he can not separate mass, so no breaking the ground. However, this rule also extends to liquids, he can’t lift a liter of water if it was in a lake. If Indy wanted to use his telekinetic ability to lift a small amount of water, it would have to already be separated from the larger body of water (i.e. cupping it with his hands, or using a small container).

History: Indicolite is a homeworld gem that never showed much interest in combat, but instead had his sights on gem technology and magic. From an early age, he strived to learn more about the universe in which all things resided, but he was enlisted into the gem military. His place in the army was directly behind the front lines, helping injured gems and operating any weapons that needed to be used. After seeing battle on many different planets, he finally managed to leave the military and moved back to the gem homeworld. However, he was unsatisfied with his now uneventful life and went to Earth, where new experiences awaited him.
On Earth, Indy was delighted to find a host of new and strange things that he could dedicate his life to, and spent his days forging things out of Earth metals, and learning about humans. He found himself admiring them more and more and figured he would stay on Earth for a long time. However, after the destruction of the space warps and the news that the Homeworld Gems intention to wipe out the human race, Indicolite finds himself in an unwanted position, fight for the Homeworld or against it?

- Somewhere down the line (hopefully soon), Indicolite will have to choose a faction based on the external factors that influence him.
- Perhaps as a byproduct of choosing a faction, Indicolite will also no longer have major issues with his indecisiveness.
- Indicolite will also have to eventually become a better combatant.
