"No." Said the black gem flatly. "It's my turn. Take your little grudge and shove it down your throats. I'm taking my turn, so settle the hell down, Both of you." He said, seemingly ignoring Variscite's lack of input in the less friendly side of the conversation. "Variscite, sit the hell down. If Fluorite wants to fight again, fine. But I'm taking my damn turn."
Without anything further said, the black gem walked away from the fountain, standing off to the side as the other two had done before, his arms crossed over his chest. "Someone had better put themselves in front of me or I will be kicking the crap out of you both." He voiced, his tone no nonsense.
Varis twitched a bit as he jumped and turned around a bit to see Fluorite getting upset by his comment, that was not his intention of course and he didnt want to get the gem all worked up, "Whoa! I was making a joke... and you didn't see anything I can do yet so don't push your luck!" He called out getting slightly bothered by his gems sudden hostility.
"It's my turn. Take your little grudge and shove it down your throats. I'm taking my turn, so settle the hell down, Both of you."
Varis turned back quickly to Carbonado after he spoke to see him stepping off to the side and ready to fight, he smiled at what Carbonado said next, "There you go Fluorite... go get YOUR butt handed to you by Carb... ill catch round two." He said walking off to the side with his arms behind his head, he held up one hand holding up two fingers as he spoke of catching round two. He steps off closer the the fountian ready to watch the fight most likely slow out of control.
Fluorite understood Carbonado was thirsting for his turn to spar. The words reached him, yet he was more focused on Variscite, though. "You're right, Carbonado," he formally agreed before calming down and taking a seat on the fountain. Then the tan gem returned for a retaliation, "Don't underestimate me, bud. It's not like you could do more than make a simple ball explode," Fluorite rolled his eyes in distaste.
Once Variscite insisted on Fluorite to go first he nodded his head, "Sure, knowing that you're simply too weak and scared." He stood once again clapping his hands as his gems began to glow. "Then again, you're just a Variscite, if that's even a real gem, hmph." He giggled, releasing his hands.
In a beam of violet light, Fluorite 'exploded' into a cloud. Replacing his position were two clones. Fluorite lightened his tint and rose into the air and over to Carbonado's projection. The two clones clapped their hands once before taking their weapons of a chain-like sword. These clone's torso seemed to loose a small amount of color as they had their torso and head into a gaseous state, yet his feet and arms were still solid.
"This will be fun!" Three voices said in unison. One of the voices would especially be louder in Carbonado's head.
Stared flatly. "Running away already? Fine." He said before simply holding his hand up in the air. Immediately, it vibrated whilst shining a bright white before unleashing a powerful explosion around them, a sonic boom like shockwave blasting around him and forcefully dispersing Fluorite's gaseous form further. This explosion was followed by Carbonado lowering his hand, unleashing yet another blast in quick succession, the concussive force blasting across the battle field to push disperse the purple gas further.
"This ability of yours is problematic. Your only weakness is your gem, which I can't very well damage just to win a sparring session. So I will just push you around until you come down here." He said, bringing his hands together cracking his fingers, glaring at the clones. "If you think a couple of clones are enough to take me on MY game though." He mumbled, stomping the floor and creating wide spiderwebs of cracks along the soil. "You've got another thing coming."
Varis could help but smile at what Fluorite had said, he really had no idea what the tan gem could do... part of him wanted to show this gem his power but... that would be rude to Carbonado since it was his turn to spar. "Keep telling yourself that... now I know next time not to pull my punches." He sighed feeling a bit of regret in how much he had held back... he couldnt really use his full force on the Gem he could have destroyed the poor bugger.
He waits and watches as Fluorite did just what he figured he would... "Your too predicable..." He mumbled under his breath knowing he was going to use this gas form, but Carb didn't seem to want to deal with it. Varis raised an arm to shield his eyes from the force that was coming from Carbs ability, this was a new one! Varis had no idea Carb was able to do this... he really had only seen the gem kick the crap out of things.
Fluorite's gas form fluctuated about and way from Carbonado, Convenient that these gems possess abilities to move me around here. The two clones had also recoiled from the blast, landing on the floor. Ugh, no other way to do this. His power counters mind, I should learn a thing or two from him. More of a challenge rather than the pathetic gem, Varscite.
"Fine, fine!" Fluorite moved toward the clones, a burst of dark purple mist erupted from the clones. As the dark purple mist held the clones moved around with Fluorite to exchange positions for some confusion. Finally, the mist lifted and the purple gem returned to normal.
"This will do, yes?" They insisted. They're torso once again lowly turning into a gas, though catching this section of gas would be difficult to point out just by looking.
Positioning of the trio goes as follow: Fluorite on the right with his weapon, a clone with another weapon in the middle and the last clone being on the left without a weapon.
The black gem narrowed his eyes, though his words were approving. "Much better." He said simply. Then he charged all three of them. And when I say charge, I mean he might as well have kicked off the ground in a straight direction, because he flew towards the Fluorite at the center of the formation like an arrow, his arms suddenly shooting out to point at the other two purple gems standing besides the one in front of him.
A shrill noise echoed around the place before an explosion went off in the direction of each of them. Meanwhile, Carbonado's leg had snapped like a whip towards Fluorite's neck, the telltale swish like sound of air being cut clean reaching everyone's ear as the black gem's foot tried to cleave the purple gem's body projections neck like a guillotine.
"No thank you!" Fluorite said quickly, the preparing gas torso reached throughout his body as the whole mass once again became a gas seeing as Carbonado was speaking as well as charging. Fluorite was ready for the upcoming attack as the noise echoed followed by an explosion going off in their direction. With the explosion going off, their figures expanded away from the fray.
The only thing Carbonado would strike was thin air with his legs. The purple gem shouted, and the projection of the voice would be louder with him into his gas state. "We surrender. I know better to approach you blindly and with that, I accept my defeat."
Fluorite knew he had much to learn and to improve, especially with his abilities. The note Carbonado repeated to himself was something for Fluorite to take into serious consideration. The flaw is too grand for most fights, the only thing it could be used for was aiding of other gems. Variscite was right.
The purple gem descended down back, ready for the apology to be delivered.
Varis watched in awe as... Hm... the tan skinned gem began to ponder about time... he feels as if something in some kind of... time line had gotten shifted, how odd? Returning to the sparring at hand, Variscite was not ready for the quick defeat of Fluorite. At the sight of how fast it all happened Varis began to laugh loudly, "Bahahahahah!" Laughing so hard he even falls over from the fountian onto the ground.
Once all the laughing was out of his system he pulls himself up with the help of the fountian to help get some leverage. Dusting himself off quickly he starts to work his way over to the two gems, waits for them to finish talking if they were talking before he says anything, "So... want to go again Carb?" He asked reaching both hands behind his head with a smile, Varis knew Carbonado wasn't going to be too happy with the fight ending so quickly.
"Wait what?" Uttered the black gem flatly as he whipped around, his leg raised as if he were to kick in the general direction of the voice before the words registered on his mind. Okay, it was smart; he knew when to fold them, yes... but he really thought now was as good a time as ever to at least try and learn how to fight off his weakness. Who knew how many opponents with the ability to counter his would actually be friendly?
"O... kay." He finished awkwardly, dropping his arms to his sides whilst letting his brow twitch slightly. Variscite got a fight and he got to throw around explosions for a few seconds... joy.
"You know, this is a good chance to learn how to deal with your abilities's quirks." Carbonado didn't know much on that kind of thing, but he figured he could help by not being lethal. His abilities didn't have any inherent exploitable weaknesses on their own and meshed well enough together to give him some dominance over both close quarters and long range, so short of an opponent that was immune to explosives and could keep him at a distance, he didn't often worry about facing an enemy with tactical advantage.
"Oh? Sure. Let's go." He nodded at Variscite. He could try to get Fluorite to spar him for real later; he hadn't yet sparred with his tan friend. "Let's see what you got, pretty boy." He said, punching his fist into his palm whilst smiling at the taller gem.
Fluorite's solid form gathered itself and once again he returned to his original projection. He observed as Varscite was laughing at his surrendering and was quick to action with Carbonado. The purple gem hung his head in shame and sat quietly on the fountain, patiently waiting for the spar to begin and to end.
Meanwhile, as the spar had or would continue, he would be thinking of Carbonado's statements. He must have been some kind of combatant, and it would be wise to ask for his aid and guidance. Do you deserve to be apart of the Crystal Gems if you had backed down like this? Especially if you were so weak to minuscule factors.
My ability is a flaw, like a crack in a gem are the abilities I have.
"Pretty boy? I knew you thought I was better looking!" He called out as he couldn't help but grin, he didn't have to hold back while fight Carbonado like while fighting with Fluorite... if he had really hit the gem as hard as he could he was scared he would break the gem and was forced to pull his punches. Hoping on his feet a bit as he started to move with us fists up, "No hard feelings if one of us poof?" He asked reaching for the back of his neck grabbing at the ring that formed behind his neck and pulled out his ball and chain, the ball hitting the ground with a thud.
After a quick grin he dashed towards his dark hued friend with his ball and chain behind him, Varis had moved very quickly for a gem carrying a heavy weapon, once close enough he swong his arm around aiming to smack Carb in the head with his crystal ball... Varis wasn't planning on starting out strong... give Carb a reason to think Varis wasn't as strong as he really was... for now.
"You are the pretty boy; I'm the stud, naturally." Replied the black gem with a half lidded expression as his legs coiled underneath him, before he broke into a dash towards the tan gem. Carbonado's nonexistent blood was already boiling and ready to go. His incomplete fight with Fluorite had worked him up like a nice warm up session, and he had already gotten Variscite permission to puff him, no hard feelings! Except for that weak attack.
"Get that weak crap out of here." He replied gruffly as Variscite swung his flail at him, holding his arm up in its general trajectory and blasting at it with an explosion before closing the distance between him and Variscite, his leg snapping towards the taller gem's face like a whip. "Get real or get puffed!"
Fluorite tilted his head as the two men sent forth compliments at each other, slightly blushing he nodded his head in agreement and giggled to himself.
He observed as the battle intensified with retreating to the gem may be needed. He leaned forward and was slightly scared with what results may occur from the battle. "Just please don't hurt each other to much," the purple gem stated.
Poofing was something that terrified Fluorite, rendering a gem vulnerable while they prepared their projection. The purple gem crossed his legs and bit his 'nails' rocking his head back and forth.
"Please don't hurt each other too much," he muttered to himself. Fluorite felt engaged with this fight but something about seeing other gems fight without himself included irked him. But, he didn't know why.
After Carbonado had deflected Variscites rather weak attack, Varis tried hard to get out of the direction of Carbs foot but while trying to move out of the way his kick he didn't quiet make it and felt the boot slide up the side of his face feeling like the worst Indian burn one could possibly do.
Sliding to the side after the kid rubbing the side of his face with his free hand, "WOW! Thats really hot... like burns, damn." He mumbled with a slight grin across his face as he spoke the words Carb just did, "Get real or get puffed huh? Fine!" His smile grew wide as he glanced down to his crystal ball, that moment it explodes shooting the shards out but all stopped only a few feet from the location of the former ball.
Quickly whipping his chain around over his head as the shards began to whorl around the tan gem making it rather hard to see the tan gem with the amount of shards buzzing around him so quickly, "Brace yourself... for THE GRAND FINALE!" He called out whipping his arm down shooting half of the shards towards Carbonado with the force of a blizzard behind it ready to tear the dark hued gem apart in a hail of crystal shards. The rest of the shards stayed slowly moving around Varis as he was ready to defend aswell... never know with Carbonado since Varis never even seen the gem call out his weapon.
